How Dragons Breathe Fire and Frost:

Fire: Well, when humans eat, our body, by digesting, creates a gas known as methane (CH4). Dragons, unlike other life, can store this gas into another kind of "lung" that will hold the gas, that will later be mixed with a small amount of phosphor (P4) that has the propriety to ignite fire at the contact of air. When a dragon wants to breathe fire, the methane is released into the lung and when the has is in the air, the phosphor ignites and also puts the methane in fire.

Frost/ Ice: It's kinda like the fire thing, since it does involve food as well. The food is broken down in the stomach, primarily for nutrition, but the remains have some chemical reactants that will give a gas, probably nitrogen (N2). The gas is then compressed by extremely strong muscles, like the base system of a refrigerator. It's painless too, and spontaneous. When a dragon needs to freeze something, the highly compressed nitrogen, that almost reaches a liquid state, is released into the lungs and when the gas comes into the air, it uncompressed at a really high speed. The gas absorbs the heat in its environment, which causes the temperature in the breath to drop to about –50 degrees C.

 Physiology type wierdness:

Well, the dragon is a homoeothermic reptile--or warm blooded, and his body temp is controlled internally so it can adapt to different climates, so he can hunt during the day and night so it is not dependent on the warmth of day like other reptiles.
The bones of a dragon are hollow so they can be light. There are some that have stumpy legs and no wings at all. Those dragons are called " worm of the deep". Dragons can live for hundreds or even thousands of years, but no records of dying from old age. (*cough--dragon slayers--cough*)

The Skeletal Structure:

Dragons are the largest flying creature (I think). And to keep the bulk in the air, the structure of his body has to be different from other reptiles. Its wing bones fit onto broad shoulders, which support wing muscles; these require an articular system unknown in other species, The bones are tougher than reinforced concrete but much lighter. The bones of the wings are holow like a birds and reducess thier mass.

Different cultures, different dragons.
Generally, western dragons looked more fierce, and were thought of as such. People considered them a menace and were afraid of their look of sharp claws and teeth, spike-ridged back and large bat-like wings, making them look more like an overgrown lizard with wings. (which is the stereotypical description of a western dragon, i.e. dragons reported to have been seen around Europe.) Hence the dragon slayers.
Asian dragons, however, were sacred beings, mostly elemental. They were worshipped by many, since they were acclaimed to bring rain, sunshine, storms or many other natural phenomena. To kill one would be unthinkable. These asian dragons also look quite different from Western ones. Much more colourful, and able to fly without wings, they seem much more magical than their western counterparts.
