Abilities: She can converse with trees. An exceptional memory for music.
Personality: Emia is a down-to-earth and patient person, and often stand immobile on the same spot for days while she's thinking. Her laughter is seldom heard, yet those who have experienced it describes it as short and hard, like wooden boards breaking. Her all-consuming passion is music, and most people consider her a fanatic in this area. She can compose entire symphonies without taking any notes, and often waits until she has four or five completed until she writes anything down. She would have been a perfect instructor, if it wasn't for her impossibly high demands. The few who have attemted to be her pupils either suffered mental breakdown or were assaulted by her.

She tries to rule the musical world of the house with an iron fist, but a forceful nature alone isn't enough, despite her talent. One of her greatest rival is the Mistress of Song for House Mrriv, Xerile. Emia feels, quite correctly, that Xerile has been trying to steal away her authority concerning music. They have become rivals in this field, and Emia viciously defends her position as Royal Composer from this insolent would-be usurper. Other than that, she competes fiercely with the other Masters of Song from the other houses, and simply cannot consider any professional musician as anything other as an opponent.
Ambitions: Compose the worlds best piece of music, and get it performed for the Queen. Get rid of Xerile, once and for all.
Fears: That someone will become better than her. That she'll lose her edge.
Likes: Music of all types, swimming, hunting.
Dislikes: Woodpeckers, imperfections in music (which makes her furious), gardeners and botanists.
Habits: She plays flutes and other wind-instruments while she's composing. The tune she plays usually has nothing to do with the tune she's working on.
Occupation: Royal Composer!
Tresured posessions: Her favourite crossbow. The stuffed heads of the animals she's killed.
