Preliminary sketches:
I decided to draw an epic battle using some characters of mine. Krezagon, the one most often jumping in the pictures, is supposed to look like an overgrown, muscular and scrawny kid (sexless). Tarkavinel, the one lying down or crouching most often, is supposed to look like a lean female and have one torn ear. The big one is supposed to look monkey-ish, really muscly and have overly long arms. Oh and they're supposed to have only four digits.
The box is just perspective help, as are the gray lines.
Now the question is: I have little clue how to make an aesthetic composition and drawing action poses is hard as heck. I drew a bunch of options and asked many people which picture was best.
The ninth one got most votes, third was popular and 8, 6 and 2 got a few votes.
Therefore, I drew a bigger picture of 9, but it still looks strange. So, composition and poses fix? Don't be afraid to refer to the smaller pictures! I know that the background is important for the composition. This far my idea is that they're fighting in a throneroom, but since I haven't even gotten the poses down, I haven't dared add a background yet.
(They're also naked because I might just as well practice anatomy. I'll make two versions, one clothed and one naked. Maybe one in underwear or superheroish attire too, because I can. XD)
