Kamona is an Enorid Elf of defining red hair and dark toned skin. Her skin is covered in soft tattoos, sigils of the sun put upon her during her early years of service to the Temple of Helios. Kamona wears the classic garb of a Helios Disciple, but with the additions of silver plating latched to her belt along with seperate sleeve covers held fast by spiral metal fixtures. Kamona has few undergarments, a tradition for most acolytes, but instead she keeps her modesty with long boots that cover almost the entirety of her legs. However, to the distaste of the monastery of the temple, Kamona's figure does little to keep chaste the imaginations of the youth who frequent the temple to get a glimpse of Kamona at her tasks.

Personality

Kamona is a loyal disciple to Zhara Pyros, the current priestess of helios and her mentor for nearly all her life. Zhara and Kamona have a rich relationship, blessing the city of Narxil with their skills of holy magic in an otherwise very distraught and desolate land of desert heat and marauder bloodshed. Kamona's loyalty often overshadows her other emotions, kept locked away so that she can better serve Helios through the spreading of his blessed light onto those who would otherwise be lost. Her recent charge and quest to aid Aron, Zhara's banished brother, has sparked some of Kamona's hindered emotion. Her confusion as to aiding someone on the dark path of chaos and destined for tartarus has led her to question Zhara's plans, but her loyal mask is still shown in order to view the truth for herself by travelling among the heathen.

History

Kamona Aryii was born in the services of the Helios Priestess, Zhara Pyros. In her youth, she was the avid disciple of the noblewoman who was very involved with all the decisions the holy woman made with concern to the will of the Sun God, Helios. She became immersed in the study of light, practicing her skills of holy magic with the priestess herself. Over time, Kamona became a valued disciple of the sun and was often sent into the slums of Narxil to care for the wounded while Zhara tended to the proclaimations of Helios. She learned much of the plight of Narxil, and how its people were starved economically with barely enough wealth to keep alive. Once she could not contain her loyalty to the priestess, she confronted her with this problem. As she did, Zhara told Kamona the complete story of Narxil and why its people were suffering. Kamona learned of the noble's wars in distant lands and the salt mines, a valued resource from Narxil, had been shut down. The economy of Narxil was failing at its roots, and Zhara fought to defend it. The priestess and Kamona concocted a long term plan to serve Narxil, involving the priestess's half brother, Aron. Zhara was willing to use her brother as a pawn, under the guidance of Helios. Kamona was reluctant at first, but she knew that Helios would guide her through doubt and eventually gain her the confidence to stabilize the desert world. So Kamona stood silent as Aron was banished, though Zhara deeply regretted that she was sending her brother out into the desert under certain death sentence. Years after this event, Kamona was called upon once again by her priestess. Aron had survived his banishment and returned to Narxil, just as they had predicted. However, darker forces were at work with his arrival, for he had the stone hand of Arneas, an artifact locked away by the long line of sun priestess before Zhara herself. Kamona knew the plan was walking a fine line, and Zhara called upon her to watch over Aron as a mercenary, to guide him from evil wherever it lurked nearby.

2005-12-23 [Adaman]: I think Kamona is a great character, she definitely has plenty of skills (and magic) that can become a powerful spellcasting character. She's not an advanced class yet, because I want her to earn the skills of a priestess for herself, but once she does she'll be as powerful as Zhara.
