For the Soldiers

It's hard for the soldiers whose companions fell
To the young and the old it seems like living in hell
You can pray for the ones who've gone on to the grave
But at least they don't have to fight another day

So pray for the soldiers whose companions died
Cause they're the ones who go on hurting inside
And pray that someday they'll come on home again
So they can return to living life like normal men

So pray for the soldiers whose companions died
And hope that they might soon be by their loved ones' sides
And pray that someday all the wars will end
So that our soldiers will never leave us again






[Note: This isn't for the soldiers of any one country or one time. It is for all the soldiers that have ever fought, do fight, and will fight. It's not targeted to any one particular war, because all wars have the same result: death. Lots of death always precedes any peace. I don't care if your cause is noble, I don't care if it was in self-defense - lots of people are still going to die before peace is found. And this is dedicated to all those who fight. This is for you. This is my small way of showing support. I don't approve of a lot of wars, but I'm not going to take that out on the soldiers. After all, the war generally isn't their idea.]
