Forgotten Tears Island Ritual

The island ritual is performed every time a set of twins is found on th island that is one boy one girl. The ritual must take place within every five years of the previous ritual. The ritual is known as a sacred ritual and those who are to perform it are treated very highly in the village.

There are three people involved mainly in the ritual, they are the dark seer, the light seer, and the high priest/priestess.

The High priest/priestess reads from a book known as the The Book of the Dead or the Icomi. The Icomi details the ritual and includes the chanting that is to be done during the ritual.

The high priest/priestess wears full rituals garb that is adorned with gems and amulets that are supposedly "gifts from the gods". The garb itself is not the orginal ceremonial red and white but black and white instead due to the purpose of light and dark.

(Male)The dark seer, the one who dies by the end of the ritual, wears robes entirely made of black silk. And an earring is placed in the left ear with a moon dangling from it down by the base of the neck. The dark seer is blindfolded so as not to see the wonderous world that surrounds them

(Female)The darek seer would wears a garment of pure black silk. (Unlike light seer it is not similiar to the appearance of a wedding dress). The same earring as the male version and a black cloak to cover the beauty of a young woman. The dark seer is then blindfolded so they can not see the wonderous world around them.

(Female)The light seer, the one who lives, wears a garment of pure white silk. (It looks fairly similiar to a wedding dress) And on the right ear is an earring with a sun hanging down by the base of the neck. The light seer is adorned with golden necklaces and a crown of jeweled roses.

(Male)The light seer wears a pure white silk garment. (Looking similiar to a mans wedding garment in feudal times).
He wears the same earring on his right ear as the female version and is adorned with a crown of jeweled roses and golden jewels.

The ritual ground is a large circular stone platform cut off by a long mountain range. An undeground passageway leads to this sight and the light and dark seers are carried there in small seperate carriages.

The light seer is forced to watch the demise of the dark seer so they can see that the world is corrupt and not as pure as they are.

The dark seeris given a knife that is adorned with symbols and jewels on the hilt at the high priest/priestess reads from the Icomi. At the end of the reading of the first passage the dark seer must drive the dagger into their own heart and the high priest/priestess continues to read from the Icomi.

When the dark seer falls to the ground (dead). The body is propped into a sitting position facing the light seer and the dagger is removed. The blood that pours from the wound is caught into a golden chalice which is then brought to the light seer.

The blindfold is removed from the dark seer and the face turned to look directly at the light seer. The light seer must drink the blood from the chalice to the last drop. This is how the two souls are reunited into one.
