Further...
“That's actually pretty interesting.
For the most part I see it as, a
group of people (i.e. a community)
set up what is "moral" and "immoral"
for the group. That is, they, together,
put together the "rules" of what is
acceptable and what isn't. You believe
the individual sets that up. That is
interesting actually...
With that in mind, it can be said that
the "rules" set forth by the Bible are
just the Christian/Judaic communities'
rules, if that makes sense.
Ultimately, that would be the main
difference between our beliefs,
methinks.
Also, your idea that humans (or Life,
perhaps) is purely reactionary is
intriguing. What makes you say that?”
Yes, the individual lives only as that, the rest is physically incidental. If the individual is really fortunate, his or her ideas agree with the ideas of a great number of other groovy people, and they live together, harmoniously for the most part, happily ever after, until a conflict arises and the group splits off with what has no reason to be anything but a peaceful agreement. ("And the Run-on Sentence of the Year award goes to...")
Imagine there's no countries.
It isn't hard to do.
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too.
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
A person is born into a culture, but what if that culture had no barriers, what if that culture didn't expect that person to stay there? He or she is free to go and do and live however they see fit. If that lifestyle works out for that culture-- cool. If it doesn't, go in search for another community that you may get along with a little better.. or not. Whichever you wish.
But uh... there aren't too many cultures that are that open-minded or freeing. Most humans have this notion in their heads that tells them, "no no... attachment is a good thing! attachment is like cheap love-- low-calorie love!" And they cling to their parents and they cling to their lovers and they cling to their friends and they cling to their children and their pets and their things and their dogs and it's a vast messy icky convoluted network of spiderweb attachments.
But imagine a world where everyone is free to learn all they wish to learn and meet all the people in every way they wish to know each other that they wish to meet. Imagine all the ideas shared and spread. Imagine the love stories.
Why do I say everything is reactionary? Because every action is a reaction and has an equal and opposite reaction. For every atom that moves, another one has to move to accommodate it. And so on. And it goes much much deeper than even the rabbit hole can hint at.
