Hogwarts: New Age

Chapter One

All lay quiet outside the grand school as if nothing had stirred for years, but inside the hustle and bustle of Hogwarts was merely beginning. Students were walking freely, there were no lessons to be held on this day, no one really knew why. It just happened that way.
In the grounds sat meek little Alexandria keeping herself to herself as usual, hoping, praying even that something interesting would happen.

There was a freezing wind that brushed past Alexandira, followed by that feeling, that you wern't alone.
~~~
Alexandria shivered slightly looking around, knowing that someone or something was there.
~~~
The wide blew even harder almost freezing, there was a slight moan in the wind.
~~~
"Hello?" Alexandria looked around, she was not scared she was more curious.
~~~
"Hey". The voice came from behind her suddenly, the wind stopped abruptly. Michael was sitting down no a rock directly behind her.

Alexandria pondered for a moment, "You look human... but you werent here a moment ago, hmm. Ghost?" Alexandria gave him a questionable look.

"Oh..thats polite girlie". Michael chewed the tooth pick in his mouth spitting a bit out slightly.
~~~
"I mean no offence of course, I'm just curious." She looked at the tooth pick.
~~~
"Right yeah whatever mom". Michael spat some more toothpick bits out.
~~~
She raised her eyebrow at the 'mom' part but chose to ignore it, "So...um ... what brings you on to this rock?"

"It was too loud inside, and pluse this is my rock". He sat cross legged.
~~~
"It is?" She looked over the rock, "I see no name."
~~~
"Look closer and you can probably see my blood spatter though". Michael spat out the rest of the tooth pick.

"I think I'll pass. So.. Whats your name?" Alexandria's legs were dangling off of the rock.
~~~
"Michael..you". Michael looked at her,his skin was deathly pale.
~~~
"Alexandria. Nice to meet you." Unlike Michael, Alexandria's skin was slightly Tan.
~~~
"Right so what year are you in, and whats ya house". Michael leant backwards getting out another toothpick from somewhere.
~~~
"4th. Ravenclaw." Alexandria watched intently.
~~~
"Isee..so mom where are your friends". He eyed her intently.
~~~
"Um... Well you see the thing is I dont really have friends. I havent really got close to anyone." She shrugged, "I mainly have aquaintances."

"Why don't you get some friends then". Michael chewed the toothpick.
~~~
"SHUT UP VANDAL". Cyan stomped out of the main door grumbling to herself.
~~~
"AW, come on Cyan don't take things so personally". Vandal put an arm around his sister shoulder trying to knock her over.

Alexandria shrugged, "I guess I could."
~~~
Michael had disapeared as the couple ran over.
~~~
"GET AWAY FROM ME". CYan ducked behind the rock just as a playful hex had been blasted at her. It barely missed Alexandira.

Vandal was laughing madly.
~~~
Alexandria blinked, "Whoa." She looked at Vandal then at Cyan.
~~~
"I apoligize for me BROTHERS RUDNESS". Cyan sat down by Alexandiar. "He doesn't know how to treat a lady".

"Hey i think you're forgetting who you're talking too, i'm great with the ladies". He looked at Alex."Hey there pretty girl, whats your name"?

"You are slightly odd." She said as she looked at Vandal. "My name is Alexandria."
~~~
"Don't talk to him" CYan pushed Vandal away laughing."Hey i'm Cyan".
~~~
Vandal pulled a weird face."You love me really".
~~~
"Hi." Alexandria didnt really know what to say, "So ...um... what year are you two in?" Being short herself she didnt judge people by their looks as to what year they were in.

"What year you in". CYan tightened her dice bunchies.
~~~
Vandal sat down getting out a scrap peice of paper drawing a picture of Cyan on it.

"4th." She looked down at Vandals drawing.
~~~
"Same" CYan snatched the picture tearing it up."I hate you".
~~~
"Such a temper". Vandal tutted.
~~~
Alexandria smiled at their sibling rivalry.
~~~
CYan began to scream battering Vandal.
~~~
Vandal just laughed pushing her awya, he stopped and looked wide eyed behind Alex.

Seth stood behind Alex as dark and tall as usual.
~~~
Alex looked at Vandal as if to say 'what?' she didnt realise Seth was there.
~~~
CYan jumped up with Vandal."Good evening Mr.Thgin".
~~~
Vandal was standing next to his sister, this guy creeped him out.
~~~
"Lovley evening, isn't it"? Seth said in his cold pretenious voice.
~~~
Alex turned her head, making an 'oh' sound. "Uh...yes...um Sir."
~~~
Cyan and Vandal stood stil as statues.
~~~
"Almost makes you wish the big feast you three are missig was held outside, yes"? He look down at Alex, his grey eyes staring into hers showing nothing.

"A...a ...Feast?" Alex gulped looking up at Seth.
~~~
"The feast to welcome the first years". He leant down rather close to Alex."You're missing it". His voice was low and eerie.
~~~
"But...we didnt know about any....feast.." She looked up still having a slight suspision that he thought she was a first year.
~~~
"Really". Seth's voice went up slightly as he stood up."Then by all means go join it, you don't want to miss the sorting". He gace a sick smile.

Cyan just nodded.
~~~
Vandal gulped slightly.
~~~
"I've seen 3 already...been in one... and ..interuption isnt good." Alex was trying to get out of it without getting herself into much trouble.

"Oh no, its fine i will walk by you...if you like". Seth's eyes slanted.
~~~
Vandal gulped."Come on lets jsut go in".
~~~
Cyan nodded.
~~~
Alex was still not sure if he thought she was a first year or not. She got up and started walking to the hall.

At first sight Seth had thought Alex was a firsy year, but when she had said about being in one and witnessing 3 he realised she wasn't."Over there".

CYan was behind Alex folowed by moody Vandal.
~~~
Alex walked in as faces turned to look at Her, Cyan and Vandal as they entered.
~~~
Vandal stormed past taking a seat at the Slytherin table, he was greeted by girls.
~~~
Cyan waved goodbye to Alex as she sat down at the GRyfindoor table.
~~~
Seth just smiled slightly, walking over to the table.
~~~
Alex nodded as a form of 'bye' and sat at the Ravenclaw table.
~~~
Michael was suddenly sat right infront of Alex o the table.
~~~
Alex jumped slightly. She could hear the sorting going on in the background but wasnt paying much attention, she was in fact day dreaming, well that was until Michael appeared.

Michael did a long quite sigh as if to state that fact he was bored out of his mind. "Hey mom, i saw you got dragged in here so i thought i'd follow". The toothpick was now replaced with what looked like a plastic bendy straw.

Alex smiled, the sorting had finished and now the feast had actually begun. "Ah. Yeah its pretty boring in here, 'cept for the food."

Michael picked up a chip and ate it."I don't taste".
~~~
"Oh.." Alex didnt quite know how to reply.
~~~
"Yeah, but oh well". HE was sort of sat around Alex's dinner plate no one else payed attention to him.

Alex was happily eating chicken. The first years were suddenly alarmed when the rest of the schools ghosts flew in.

Michael flicked a bit of chicken at a girl first year Ravenclaw he laughed as she yelped slightly. "Ahh..well, what you doing for the rst of the evening mom"?

"Not a Clue." Alex giggled at the first year.
