1. The real witches -
Full moons and salt circles
Dance around a pit of wood
Barefoot and breathing the soul
Of forest and life all around you
Charge crystals by the water
While enchanting your friends
And forget all your troubles
On this night that never ends
Pull black from your closet
Don your pointed hat
Grab your spirit familiar
Whose napping in the window
And call upon the Old God’s by name
Sugar sweet, and salted rum
Let the ghost and goblins come
For tonight the witches decree,
That it be the night of all hallows eve.

2. Always THERE -
For some it comes but once a year
That time for joy mixed with fear.
A scary ghost or creepy ghoul,
Lets carve some pumpkins, ill bring the tools.
We hand out candy and various treats,
unaware of the horrors that hide their teeth.
Everyday, they are there
waiting for that one time of year.
We dress like them and they dress like us,
as the kids would say "That's kinda sus."
They watch and wait, licking their lips
Knowing all it will take is for one to slip.
They catch us alone, hell even together
and leave nothing but scraps to bleach in the weather.
Halloween is only once a year,
But for some of them, they are always there.
