Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix review
Fifth book in the series and somewhat a bit downfall from the great third and fourth book of the Harry Potter universe.
Lord Voldemort has risen and only a few seem to believe what is going on.
Ministry of Magic tries to interfere in the Hogwarts business and hires there a new teacher of Defense against the dark arts, Dolores Umbridge who is clearly a reincarnation of teacher from Hell. This character is undoubtedly made so horrible on purpose that you HAVE to hate her and you actually ENJOY doing it. That might be annoying, as characters as "evil" as Snape, Malfoy or even Voldemort, they do have complex personalities and there are cases you might feel sorry for them. But Dolores Umbridge is an exception. She is just plain evil.
Harry and his friends experience normal teenage problems and at the times Harry seems to be even more stupid than a regular teenager (or then it's been too long since I was one).
Teenage problem filled pages tend to get to your nerves at the times, but there are several other scenes that should have been left from the book - for instance the cleaning episode of the Black house.
As over 1000 pages, this book is way too long.
There are good times, I especially enjoy the Weasley's twins and their practical jokes.
But still, this book isn't as good as the two previous ones.
