Username: [
NamelessMerc].
Name: Andrew Castan O’Neill (Andy).
Age: 16.
Year: Sixth.
House: Ravenclaw.
Parents: Patrick and Cherie O’Neill.
Bloodline: Muggle-born.
Wand: Birch, 8-1/2 inches, Veela hair.
Appearance: Rather odd for a beater, Andrew is a lithe, lanky young man. There is a fair amount of muscular definition in his body, but Andrew barely pays any of this any attention, counting it a blessing from his father’s side of the family. He has deep brown eyes, a legacy from his mother along with her loose blond curls. This he keeps at shoulder-lengt
h, often tied back with a simple blue bobble borrowed from one of the Ravenclaw girls. Out of school uniform, Andrew sticks mostly to a simple baggy jeans and t-shirt combination, in various shades. He never changes his dilapidated black trainers except to play Quidditch.
Personality: A great fan of literature, Andrew spends most of his time with his head buried in books. His more studious nature even over-rides his natural tendency to stick up for the weaker people in Hogwarts (blame his dad, the virtues of being raised by a policeman!) and he thinks is what landed him in Ravenclaw. Fairly quiet, Andrew always brightens up if someone mentions either a book he hasn’t read, or any form of guitar.
Brief Bio: Born on January 11th, Andrew is the son of a policeman and a schoolteacher. Andrew had a hard time in school, as his mother was one of his tutors, and he exelled on his own by shunning contact with the children, preferring to study, even at the tender age of seven. Both Andrew’s parents are muggles, and had no idea of Andrew’s abilities before he was sent a letter from Hogwarts to ask him to join the ranks of students (though there had always been clues, not least of which being Andrew’s strange ability to stop his own hair growing whenever he wanted).
Seeing Hogwarts as another chance to excel in the face of adversity, being picked on for not being anything approaching a pureblood, Andrew came out of his shell in his third year, when he won a Ravenclaw’s place on the Quidditch team and distinguished himself as an amazing beater. Some eople think (rightly) that beating is Andrew’s outlet for any pent-up frustrations.
Achieving an ‘O’ in both Defence Against The Dark Arts and Transfiguration, with an ‘E’ in Potions, in his O.W.L.s, Andrew feels he is carrying on his family’s tradition of law-enforcement by becoming a prefect and is seriously considering becoming an Auror like his idol, Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody.
Quidditch?: Yes, beater.
Prefect / Head?: Yes.
Pet: Periwinkle, a modestly-sized barn owl.
Other: Andrew has a photographic memory.
