Basics:What Is A Beat

A beat is what keeps the music in place its like your heart beat it never changes it goes and goes on. All beats must have an equal and steady way, like if your heart starts changing beats constantely you are obviously having a heart attack.

What Note Is Equals The Beat

There are different notes that have different beats in them.
The can be long notes, short notes, and very short notes.
Whole Note: 4 Beats
Dotted Half Note: 3 Beats
Half Note: 2 Beats
Dotted Quarter Note: 1+1/2 Beats
Quarter Note: 1 Beat
Dotted Eight Note: 1/2+1/3 Beats
Eighth Note: 1/2 Beats
Sixteenth Note: 1/3 Beats
Twenty-Fourth Note: 1/4 Beats
Thirty-Two Note: 1/6 Beats
