Imbue is the spirit of dreams. He was created by a powerful mage to give him and any who would pay the mage anything their hearts desired, to fufill all their seflish and greedy wishes. Eventually though, after centuries years of giving all the horrid people the mage brought to him power, money and anything else their black hearts desired, the spirit suddenly had a dream of his own that he wanted to make come true, a life of his own to live. The mage was furious and trapped Imbue in a magic bubble for all eternity.
From this bubble Imbue can still hear the wishes, the prayers and dreams of everyone in the world. Sometimes, when people are sleeping, Imbue will send them a dream to have, but inside the bubble his powers are weak and sometimes the dreams he sends people are strange and sometimes they can be frightening.
There was one wish that Imbue could hear above all the others though, above all the selfish wishes of wealth and power Imbue had grown so sick of. There was one selfless and pure dream that a girl had. Imbue fell in love with this girl, finally he had found someone who made him feel like using his powers, someone kind and completely selfless, the one person he knew would not use him like those people did long ago. He wanted so much to be with her and make her wish come true.
Imbue began to appear in this girls dreams, they were messages on how to find him and set him free, confessions of love and a promise that he would giver her anything and everything she wanted, he could make the world anything she wanted it to be and he could be anyone she wanted him to be.
Once the girl had finally found Imbue though, many people in the world wanted to capture him and use his powers to grant any wish, some wanted to kill him to make sure his powers were never misused. However Imbue's worst enemy was one man, who had captivated the girls heart before he could.
Not willing to give up on his one dream, so tired of seeing others get what they want instead. Imbue begins a battle to win the love of the only person in the world he will ever trust while at the same time saving himself from once again becoming enslaved or worse.
One ordinary boy will have to compete with a being with the power of dreams and wishes. More and more he feels he may have to bargain with the corrupt to simply stay alive. Yet more important to him than his life is not losing his perfect love to who he would do anything for.
When two hearts fall completely for the same person, there is no compromise...
This is him, Imbue, The Spirit of Dreams. He's not very big as you could guess. Yet this little guy has the gift and the curse of granting any wish at all, even to himself.
Alot of people in the world want to fight Imbue, either to capture him, destroy him or simply to keep him from taking his girlfreind as one boy of earth has to face.
Imbue himself isnt very strong, a bullet, a knife and even a fist could really hurt his fargile little body. When he has to fight, Imbue's power will let his desire transform himself into Arcanum. Powerful blue flames can engulf his hands to take on anyone who stands in the way of his dream.
I had alot of fun doing this. Unfortunately Im not too good at colouring but I want to get better. This would make Imbue the first character in..ummm...for
ever I have ever decided upon what colour they actually are =^.^=
I would really appreciate any comments on this picture as I want to improve ^o^.
This was fun to do too, although I got fustrated with my awful sharpener, I NEED to get a proper one, one that actually sharpens rather than hacks the pencil to bits.
I wish I had made him a little bigger so there was more room to colour but never mind. I still like it. Woot for colour in my galleries!! =^.^=
Imbue and his alter ego Arcanum bearing the weight of the sole dream and the conflicting nightmare that was born ever since Imbue found about the truly innocent and selfless girl to whom he was helpless but to fall in love with.
