Appearance: Jhayze is average height and very thin. His hair is light brown, verging on blonde and he has green eyes. He’s attractive and has a light dusting of freckles on his slightly tanned skin. He has a long scar which starts below his ear and travels to the centre of his chest; this is from where he was hit with an oar during a fishing expedition in a storm.
Clothing/equipment: Jhayze wears a light orange tunic and deep red trousers, his boots are made of tough red painted leather. His jacket is long, falling to mid-calf, and deep orange with deep pockets and a high collar. He wears a necklace in the shape of crossed bolts of lightning (the symbol of Nubias) made from bronze and strung on a length of fishing twine. His whole outfit is cheap but cheerful and the lack of expense shows in the poor dying of the cloth and just how tough his boots are, but this doesn’t seem to concern Jhayze. He has a satchel with various things from home made of thick sack cloth which has an unattractive brown colour. Jhayze’s prize possession is his harpoon, it’s almost his height and he uses it as a walking stick mostly. He won the item in a fishing competition years ago and the tool is very finely crafted with a razor sharp steel head and a thin but strong dark wooden haft. Lastly he has a small all purpose knife strapped to one thigh, used mostly to cut rope or gut fish.

History Jhayze likes fishing and had one of the best aims with a harpoon in Caerdon which is how he won his prized possession, he enjoyed working with his family. Unfortunately his father recently died in a storm while out at sea along with his two brothers and sister. He spent a year keeping his mother and himself fed and kept but eventually she made him leave, saying ‘this was no life for a young man’ and that he should ‘see the world’. She moved in with her sister and her sister’s family and gave Jhayze a small bag of gold coins and a hug. Since then Jhayze has skirted the Voundain Swamplands and visited a great many hamlets in the farmlands and has finally reached Elleek.
Personality Jhayze is friendly very open, he talks to pretty much anyone and loves to laugh. He’s got more than a slight lilt in his accent from Brinebright and likes the attention it gets him, even the negative as it means he can talk and argue with people. Jhayze loves to argue, not in a vicious sense, but he likes to questions and loves to hear other people’s opinions. He has a colder side however; due to the death of his father and siblings he will often get very sad for no specific reason and want to be alone.
