MUTATION (POWERS): Flight, ecolocation, sonic hearing and vocally emitting sonic waves that can damage or move objects depending on which frequency he chooses to use. He has a second set of nostrils between his eyes but his fur covers them. These nostrils work only with his third lung which inables him to emit a constant scream without stopping to breath. It also allows him to catch his breath much quicker if he's running or flying. If he is breathing with his third lung then he is exhailing with his normal lungs and vice versa.

DESCRIPTION OF BODY (BUILD, HEIGHT, UNIQUE FEATURES, ETC.): 5'4", lean and muscular, covered in a fine black fur, very bat like in appearance with large bat like ears and small wings that he can fold against his arms.

HAIR COLOR AND STYLE: short, black and soft with dark orange tinge.

EYE COLOR: red

ETHNITICITY: presumably caucasion

HISTORY: Josiah Martin was found abandoned by an Amish farmer in Pensilvania. He had not exibited his mutant powers but as an infant remained bat-like in apearance. Seeing that the outside world had turned their back on a mutant child the ordnung elders saw fit to allow Ezikel Miller and his wife Henrietta to adopt the foundling child. The Millers had no other children.

Josiah grew up like any normal Amish child. He did chores, attended school and church and even worked in the saw mill when he was older. He was accepted among his community.

During a barn raising his powers began to surface. He accidently destroied the barn. No animals where harmed when he emitted his sonic scream but the nearby town became alarmed. Shortly after his parents where contacted by Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Joss was given the choice of staying with his family or attending the school. Fearing the safety of his home and friends he decided to attend the school only long enough to learn to control his powers.

ANY SERIOUS PHYSICAL OR MENTAL CONDITIONS: The bat like apearance and powers are atributed to be associated with the Indonesian Flying Fox. The large Fruit Bat. Joss can eat meat and dairy products but prefers fruit. If he dose not eat enough fruit he suffers from a lack of potassium and can become weak or sick.

HOBBIES: Whitteling, wood working and carpentry

PERSONALITY: Joss is a very quiet and respectful young man.

WEAKNESSES: Joss' hearing is very sensitive and he cannot hear when emitting loud screams.
