Physical Description: KD is tall and sleek but most certainly not athletic. He has pale, freckled, easily burned skin, a slim nose and strong chin.

Hair: Sandy blond hair styled in a gelled crew cut.

Eyes: Deep green hooded eyes.

Other: KD’s choice of clothing is pretty average for a kid his age; jeans, t-shirt, zip-up jacket, and sneakers. Except the neon green high-tops he wears on every test or game day are noticeably worn and old-looking. He insists that they are his lucky sneakers. Everyone else insists good luck would smell better.

GPA: 2.3

History: KD’s dad is a prosthetic artist who designs masks and other fake anatomical features for specialty Halloween and costume shops across the country. The two have always had a relationship consisting mostly of attempting to scare each other with the various costumes and props Mr. Drew makes and then promptly blaming the prank on some unseen and utterly ridiculous-sounding force. In contrast, KD’s mother, a semi-successful divorce attorney, is far more serious. That does not stop her from believing in omens and luck, though (there are oh-so-many things that could happen on a wedding day that are bad luck for the marriage).

Personality: A horror movie fan with shades of class clown, KD is known for his ridiculous theories and superstitions. Whenever something tense, frightening or awkward happens, KD usually does one of two things—laugh it off with a joke, or blame some ghost story of urban legend that no one else in the room has ever heard of. While his stories of murdered students, aliens in the water supply, and snakes in the walls might be pure fiction, he has most certainly inherited his mother’s unyielding faith in good-luck traditions. He is not nearly as concerned about bad omens, though. After all, his dad’s workshop is just full with sculpted and painted versions of them.
