The circular arena is filled with jeers and shouts as the combatants' enemies scream from the stands. In boxes stand Divya's father and Kelly's family, glowing and radiant. Their caryatids-- Peridot peacekeeper and Diamond warrior--hang high above their heads. Their fragile stones are in their own possessions.
Kelly looked around the arena, then at Divya, "I guess we'll have to fight to the death in order to leave, I'm sorry Divya, I hope you can forgive me." She said with a sad face.
"Ah shut up! Don't act all fuckin' noble. You're just a kid." Divya spat. Though when the words left her mouth, she realized...Kel
ly was a kid. It made her second guess herself, but she shook it off. "Don't worry, it'll be quick. You won't feel a thing." she said, taking a few steps towards Kelly.
Kelly's face was full of sorrow as she looked from Divya to her mother and father, I want to be with my parents again, but I'm not sure if this is the way I want it to happen. she thought as she turned back to Divya, "What do you mean, I won't feel a thing?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'll kill you quickly. It'll be like... falling asleep." she said, still walking towards her with her hands at her sides. Divya knew she had to but...what about this girl? What about her family and future? Ack! Divya dismissed the thought. Now wasn't the time to get sentimental.
Kelly looked at Divya shaking her head, "So how do you want to fight with our hands or weapons?" She asked, her sword was at her side.
"Hun, I have guns." Divya said plainly, taking her pistol out of her belt and waving it in the air above her shoulders. "Aren't you a little young to be playing with knives anyway?"
"No, I'm not." Kelly said pulling her kantana out of its sheath and standing at the ready. "That's like saying you're too old to be playing with guns."
"Trust me, I'm not playing." Divya said, lifting her gun up and aiming straight at Kelly's forehead.
Kelly raised an eyebrow, "Do you really think it would be that easy to kill me?" She asked staring at Divya, watching her.
Divya didn't say anything. Without a warning, she fired.
Kelly moved fast dodging, and running at Divya swinging her Kantana her to injure not kill.
