...December 17, 1508 Continued...
"Steady your weapon," Malestrom growled. "I don't see why you couldn't have been more diplomatic, Sir Avanstrom. I assumed that you had an interest in the Queen, and
I am one of the two individuals to protect her from certain unhealthy interests others seek of her." He cocked his heads, studying every detail of Araglas, "Divulge your interest, perhaps despite your ungratefully aggressive demeanor your mission does not mirror that; to which I doubt. But you will tell me, and then I will decide how far you get."
Akuma watched the two converse then became alarmed when it seemed to him that they were possibly about to start fighting. "I'm sure Araglas didn't mean any harm..." he said quickly to Malestrom as he tried to step between them. "Right Araglas?"
Four of the heads turned to look at Akuma, the fifth poised to bore holes into Araglas, "I'm sure," he said with a gentle simmer of sarcasm.
Araglas' warrior mind was beating at its cage demanding to fight the sarcastic beast before him. But luckily the scholarly side of him had the key to the cage and wasn't about to free the warrior, no matter how much he wanted to. Glancing at Akuma he nodded his thanks and took a step back to gather his mind. Did he reveal why he was here? Would he trust this Dragon with his fate? Araglas wasn't one to trust anyone, save for the Lord Rahl of course, but nevertheless it was importent he get back home to see how the Lord Rahl had fared in the ambush. He reached a red gloved hand and pushed a stray strand of his red hair behind his ear, his thought swirling in a vortex of trust issues and warrior instinct. His equally red eyes turned to the one Dragon head that was trying to stare holes in him and nodded. He decided what to do then and there. He pulled his mind into one stream and started to sort his memories out. He only wanted the most recent. Everything before the Ambush of Lord Rahls traveling group was sealed away in the back of his mind, while the attack, getting hit with the spell, waking up in this world, and traversing this world, till he arrived at the party and finally to this moment. He opened his mind and pushed the train of memories at the Dragon and waited for an answer.
In a fraction of a blink of an eye, Malestrom searched the memories before letting them trickle through. At last the man wasn't making it terribly difficult for himself. He cut the link before Araglas could grasp a glimpse of his mind and set about reviewing the memories in detail.
"Human memories, always so broken, passionate, explosive, vague..." he thought to himself as he viewed this man's world.
"...You could have just asked for assistance to find your way back to your homeland," Malestrom replied. "Your memories weren't very specific as to the location of your homeland or even if it exists someplace
here...given the spell that was cast upon you."
The Dragon sighed, moving all five heads a yard from Araglas, "We...shall help you."
Araglas hadn't thought it would be that easy, he was an experienced warrior and sometimes that warrior decided how the show would be run as it had up till this point, where now the scholar was in charge and willing to ask for any kind of help as long as it returned him to Lord Rahl. He nodded his thanks and offered no explanations of where his home actually was or why he hadn't just asked for help. He gave a bow and spoke slowly, "I am grateful to you for doing this for me. It is my wish to return and serve my master. Anything you could do to help me would be beyond kind." His warrior spirit was now deeply angry and was doing its best surplant the scholarly insticts, but with a gaint mental shove he threw those instincts into the farthest reaches of his mind. Turning his red eyes up to look at all five Dragon heads he asked a key question, "Is it even possible to send me home?"
"I wouldn't see why not. Every spell has its counter spell. Although I do believe your greatest challenge is not if you can travel home, it is where you shall go to get there. You're lost. With your cooperation and our assistance, I'm sure you will be able to return. Now, the Coronation ceremony shall be beginning soon, stay out of trouble and seek me or my Rider, Erindor, by this evening." Malestrom smiled, snapping his jaws a foot from Araglas head before licking the man's cheek, "See, I don't bite...at least not when I don't have a reason to do so. Enjoy the festivities, I'm not hard to find. Good day Araglas Avanstrom, Akuma."
With that the Mighty Platinum Dragon sauntered away throwing perfect reflections off his mirror like scales.
Araglas nodded his thanks, and shivered slightly when the Dragons tongue carressed his cheek. It sent his face to match the color of his armor. "Th-thank you.." he said softly and gave a slow bow. As the Dragon sauntered away he found himself wondering if female dragons found the walk attractive, because it was to him at least, and he sent the Dragon his thoughts. Without waiting to see or hear what the dragon would say Araglas getly took Akuma's arm and steered them back towards the party, "That..was rather interesting would you not agree Akuma?" he asked, hoping to pull the Vampire from his silent world.
Akuma nodded then looked at Araglas. "So your...lost?" he asked curiously. "I can't even begin to think how frightening that must be for you." He talked more freely now, not feeling so nervous now that he knew Malestrom did not think badly of him.
Araglas nodded waiting till they were back inside the party, leading the other gently into the throng of dignitaries. "I am more than
lost Akuma...I do not know where I am..so to say. I am from another world entirely I am starting to believe..magic there does not act the same as it does here. I am worried I will not be able to get home..I did not mention this to the Dragon, I am wary of him for the moment..." He grew silent as he continued to lead the other threw the throng of peoples.
"Well I shall help as much as I can to try and return you to your home." Akuma replied as he walked. "And do not be so down hearted, you will find a way home." he smiled at Araglas as he tried to cheer him up.
Araglas nodded, "Thank you...those are kind words. I am not so sure, but I will keep trying no matter what. I
must get back to Lord Rahl. I will not stop trying, he can't be trusted to be on his own for too long. The man attracts trouble like a beautiful princess. He's always getting himself into one type of trouble or another. I'm not sure the Mother Conffessor can keep him out of it, even if she is a sister of the Agiel..." He spoke of her approvingly and a slight smile shown on his lips, "Now...let us return out attentions to this gathering..." His red eyes looking left and right, not being familiar with anything or anybody. "I must admit, I do not know the customs or laws of any of the lands here.."
Queen Luna smiled, giggling lightly behind sealed lips. She was rather amused with the goings-on, but she allowed the others to do what they needed and she carried on with her usual (her usual for when celebrations and ceremonies were to be held). Luna figured that, since her grandchildren were to be crowned in the Starlight Kingdom, she would travel to this place, which was the daughter of the Moon Kingdom. It was her sole duty to make preparations there. She decided to organize a royal caravan to set out for Starlight where she would automatically aide the Obsidian Siblings. It took about several hours to put everything together. When the time came to leave she gathered her pets, loyal servants, and a few chivalrous to accompony her. Luna knew that Erindor and Malestrom would follow suit later on, so she sent out a message bird (a snow dove) for the two to tell them of her decision. Then the caravan of shimmering carraiges left the castle led by gorgeous white horses with flowing manes bearing cyan ribbons.
Aquamarine Orchid, the beautiful and yet curious dragon, was seen flying above the caravan, but remained unnamed to her viewers. Her elegant appearance and splendor became thought to be a sign of goodluck among the Moon Kingdom and Starlight Kingdom's beliefs since her first appearance three hundred years ago (mainly because of her origin). They called her "The True Peace". She gave out a gentle roar before she reached out to touch her mind with her dear friend Queen Luna,
I may not be a true human or a citizen of Moon and Starlight, but I shall be there for your grandchidren's crowning to support them. I believe they are right for the throne and I shall be their secret gaurdian as you have asked me to be...like an angel to them from up above. It is not difficult to see how this will affect the Foularbor Empire. Knowing Fallacore, he shall surely wage war, considering that the children of the poor dears he killed would be seen as a threat to him. Be careful, sweet Luna. Heed to the tidings brought by the drums of war. Foularbor cannot be trusted and any treachery is possible even now. I am also sure that the Emperor knows of the event that shall occur soon. Please, be cautious. Angel of Light, I am with thee and thy decendants to the end.
I thank you for your concern, my dear friend, Luna replied softly,
and I thank you for your loyalty as a friend, for such is to be rewarded greater than all. She smiled.
You are a good friend and I shall heed your kind words. After all, you are wiser than your years. I just hope that our wisdom will rub off on the Obsidian Siblings, True Peace. Queen Luna laughed musically.
I am more concerned for Josiah, though.
Oh, yes, indeed, Aquamarine giggled in agreement as she vanished in the clouds.
Hi my name is Blitz. Blitz smiles politly
Oh, why, hello, Aquamarine said softly.
Pardon me, normally Luna speaks to me. No townspeople dare to. She gave off a musical laugh that sounded in everyone's minds.
You are going to the crowning ceremony, yes?
Yes I am you have a harmonious laugh by the way Eyes flash round suroundings and pick up far off movements. *smiles*
Thank you and welcome to Luna's little caravan, Aquamarine said as she watched the caravan from up above.
By the way, where are you, my petite companion?
I think behind the caravan some where I am 5'6" high with brown hair Looks up at her companion eys gleaming gold from the sun.
I see you, Blitz. Then she disappeared into the clouds again, the waterdrops glistening on her scales.
Enjoy the travel. May Holondom protect you.
Thanks Whistles Gizmo appers for what seems out of now where
now this is what I call catch up Jumps on him bare back and rides after the caravan.
Suddenly, it was almost like Aquamarine's presence had gone altogether. She had secretly come to the ground and transformed herself into her Elf form. She stood in front of the caravan, waving her elegant arms.
Stop! I'm coming along, Luna!! Stop the caravan!
True Peace? What are you doing? "Stop the carraiges!" Luna shouted sweetly. "We have a new passenger!" The carraiges came to a halt, which gave Aquamarine the possibility to join her.
Aquamarine climbed into the lead carraige and sat next to Queen Luna with a grin on her face.
I decided to be with you. It's not fun talking to people you cannot look at most of the time. I have also been introduced to a girl named Blitz who is following the caravan. She seems like a rather nice girl. She rides on a unicorn even! How miraculous!
Blitz see the carvan in the distance she pushes Gizmo on. He gallops over the ground as if it was air.
come on boy noy far now AQUAMARINE WAIT!!!
Goodness me. Luna, could you please keep the caravan at a slow pace? It seems I have a young friend trying to get to me, Aquamarine relayed to Luna. Then she turned the fingures of her mind to Blitz,
My dear Blitz, I am in the front carraige. The caravan has slowed for you to catch up.
Closing on the cara van only a mile left.Gizmo stops in fron of caravan.Jumps off
go boy go on hugs him and then he vanishes. walks quikly up to the jumps in to caravan.
hope I did not knock any thing over
Not at all, Aquamarine said lightly as she played with her sky-blue hair.
"Swiftly now! We must get to the city of Starmane as soon as we can!" Queen Luna said to the driver. And, at last, the caravan picked up the pace again, but much faster than before. Luna turned towards Blitz and smiled. "You must be Blitz. Very nice to meet you, young one. Where might you be from?"
Blitz replied
Moon Kindom miss Smiles politly.
"Wonderful1," Luna said. It took another four hours to reach the borders of the Starlight kingdom and Luna figured that it would be several more miles before they would enter Starlight's capital of Starmane. It was a very peaceful ride so far with only two disturbances, but those were well with her. The sky was blue, the grass was green, and by her reconing it was late morning.
The ceremony is in three hours, she thought to herself,
Gives the delightful servants and I time for the decorating.... "We're almost to our destination, young ones."
