LOK History Page 3
Aina strode along the lane astride Stormy, Exavier trailing not far behind. They had been traveling for a months now, and Aina decided it was time to settle down somewhere and make a home. "Boy, the first place we come to, we'll make out home." Stormy's head bobbed up and down as if her understood. Deciding they had traveled long enough without a break she pulled Stormy to a halt and dismounted. They all gave themselves a nice big stretch. Aina walked over to a near by tree that had an apple dangling from it and plucked a few. Walking back over to Stormy she aloud him to eat it out of the palm of her hand as she took a bite of her own. Exavier was sprawled out in the grass itching his back. Aina couldn't help but snort in amusement.
At least we haven't ran into much trouble along the way... She thought to herself. The last town they were in, indicated it wasn't much further until the next kingdom, but they had been traveling for a while and she was beginning to doubt herself. Looking back at Exavier she smiled. "Alright, let's ride!" Mounting back up she gave Stormy a little nudge and cantered the further down the lane and a few miles later they emerged into the kingdom they had been hoping for.
In the Starmane Castle of the Starlight Kingdom, Jaina Obsidian was setting up and tearing down to make ready for the ceremony and for the celebrations afterwards. She was all over the place and her brothers were doing the same things, except they were helping in the kitchen and the dining hall. So far that she knew most of the population of Starmane City was coming and along with those from the capital of the Moon Kingdom. Goodness, her great grandmother was coming! She raced to the dining hall, hoping to find her brothers there. Luckily they were, which helped her feel quite relieved. "Amadeus! Josiah!"
The two brothers halted suddenly in their work to find their sister at the dining hall first entrance. They laid the dishes down where they belonged, which was at the end of a long table covered in a beautiful white cloth that was adorned with silver roses and vines. "Jaina," Amadeus said, "calm yourself. Now tell me, what is the matter?" Amadeus was always the one to remind everyone of Estaroth, their father, since he took after him in personality more than the others.
"Grandmother Luna is coming," Jaina said, trying to keep calm. "When she gets here and we're not ready, she will be in a fuss over us. You know how she gets..." She crossed her arms.
Amadeus shared a grin and a glance with Josiah. "Are you sure?" Amadeus asked, serenely. "She never talked to you about what we know then." Smiling, he gently peered over at his sister with a sigh. "She is coming to aide us, not fuss as you say. This is a very special occasion to her and she wants to help us wherever possible. Even if it means helping you find something to wear or the right drapes and tapestries to go with the walls. Do not worry yourself, my dear sister. It is all taken care of."
Aina wasn't sure how things work in this kingdom. She wondered who she needed to talk to about setting up a permanent home here. Seeing a castle a few hundred yards away she figured that would be the perfect place to start. Urging Stormy forward she walked along the lane towards the castle. Coming up to the castle she dismounted and glanced around. "How does one go about entering a castle?" Shrugging she walked up to the front doors and knocked, hoping someone would hear.
"Very well, I won't fuss....huh?" Jaina heard a knocking on the castle doors, wondering who it could be. She turned to look out of the dining hall with her left hand on the door pane. Jaina found herself gazing at the castle doors just down the hall. "Amadeus.... Josiah... Did you hear that? Who could be here at this hour? The ceremony doesn't start for another three hours..."
"Why don't you go see who it is," Amadeus suggested, quietly. "It could very well be our Grandmother Luna." Then he vanished into the kitchen to continue food preparations with the servants.
"But whoever it is might not be, so go welcome them anyways, " Josiah put in before following his brother.
Jaina, heeding her brothers' words, left for the castle doors with curiousity. Smiling, she openned the doors to find an unfamiliar face; someone she had never met before. "Why, hello! Welcome to Starmane Castle! I'm Jaina Obsidian and my brothers....we
ll...their in the kitchen. Amadeus and Josiah, I mean. Come on in."
Blitz yawns Dawn already [it was already morning. When the rp began it was early dawn. I would continue to post where I last posted with Luna]
Aina was taken slightly off guard. Looking over her shoulder she nodded for Exavier to follow her. "Stormy, we'll be back." Glancing back at the girl Aina nodded and followed her inside, Exavier right behind them.
Jaina then closed the door after the guests had come through and led them to the dining hall where Amadeus and Josiah had recently put up some more tables and chairs. "Make yourself comfortable," Jaina said sweetly. "Is there anything I can get you? And forgive me for not asking, but what are your names?"
"I am Aina Terveisin, this is Exavier, and the beauty outside is Stormy Day. And no thank you, we're fine for now. I just figured this would be the place to go to ask if I could make this a permanent home. This kingdom that is." Aina looked around, her fingers tangled in the hair on Exaiver's neck.
"It is very nice to meet you, Aina," Jaina said, smiling. "Of course you may. Just let me know where when you find a good house for yourself. In fact, I believe I can have a few friends of mine in the city build one for you if you would like."
Aina just stared at Jaina for a moment then shook her head. "I don't mean to be rude but I can't accept that, mainly because I can't afford something like that. You see my family was a band of thieves and since I didn't agree with there ways, I took off. I've been living off these lands for some time now, so I don't have anything but my companions and the things I'm wearing." Almost ashamed of herself, Aina looked down into her wolves eyes. It is okay, my child. We will find a way. We always have. Exavier spoke to her through there minds, something he did rarely. He could sense that she was upset.
"Don't worry yourself. It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of helping you, but if you would rather prefer something more secluded, I can help you with that as well," Jaina said. "I understand your situation, though. When I was a little girl I had a good friend who was having problems like you. I wanted to help her, but I couldn't because it was a family my father despised because of their history. I want to be able to help this time."
"Truthfully, I've been alone long enough. I want to be as close to people as possible." Aina sort of giggled and felt the urge to hug this young woman. "I appreciate it, I really do. If there would ever be anything you'd need, I'd be happy to help. I'm very good at creating, even designing weapons. Does this kingdom by any chance need someone like me?" Aina was hopeful, but not for long, anything good rarely ever happened to her.
Jaina nodded with a smile. "Of course you can. We do need a blacksmith in this town. The one we had before was a Minotaur who had become aged and passed away. He and I were friends and I miss him. Well, I will go and see those friends of mine now and talk to them about building you a good home here. If you would like, you make do as you wish here."
"This Minotaur that passed away, did he by any chance have a shop? I could build my own I suppose. Hmmm..." Aina looked down at Exavier and shrugged. "I guess we'll just wonder. Or are you sure you don't want me to come with you?"
"Yes, he did," Jaina replied," but if you fancy, you may have your own shop connected to your home-in-process. You can come with me and make all of the designs yourself. If you would like some help, you can come to me when needed." Jaina exited the castle after sending a few servants to fetch the friends of hers. In a little while, three people arrived, bowing to the both of them. Softly, Jaina then spoke to them about the building of the new home for Aina and how Jaina herself would pay for it all. After they graciously agreed, Jaina turned to Aina. "So, what do you fancy, Aina?" she asked sweetly.
Queen Luna and her caravan finally reached the city of Starmane and parked the carraiges out from temporarilly. Her and Aquamarine left the carraiges along with all of the others. Luna was the first to reach the door to the castle and she knocked lightly, but loud enough so the Obsidians could hear her coming. "Hello!" she said. "Now, where are my great grandchildren?"
Amadeus and Josiah rushed away from their work so they could open the door for Queen Luna of the Moon Kingdom. "Great Grandmother Luna! It's so wonderful to see you!" Amadeus said joyfully. "Come inside!"
"Yes, please," Josiah laughed, crossing his arms.
Luna gave the both of them hugs and gave them each a kiss on their forehead. "Why, it is good to see you both as well. Now where is your sister?"
"She is in the dining hall tending to a guest," Amadeus said.
Aquamarine, smiling, transformed into her dragonian form so she can be a bit stronger when it comes to moving things or just getting things ready for the ceremony and celebrations in general. She stepped into the castle and looked around intently. Ah, it would seem that you have gotten at least a third of the preparations completed, she said to them. I will be most obliged to help you all. It will only take a matter of time before everything is done. Because there are many here to help you three now, it should take less than the supposed three hours to do so.
Luna nodded in agreement with Aquamarine's observations. "Yes, indeed," she said still smiling. "Now, I will have to give my greetings to Jaina when she is finished with tending to the newcomer. Hmm... Let me see what yet needs to be done."
Seusyn walked up to the door fallowed by three other Valkyries; Tamar; Lisirya; and a few younger girls holding a rare flower called a Crown Dragon, they were different colors and gift for the siblings. The flower was a cross of an orchid and tiger lily. Seusyn was the eldest Valkyrie, of over 1,000 years old. Lisirya stood behind the little ones. She was the only one who didn’t wear gold. She was allowed to wear silver; unlike the others, she looked different, not tanned with golden hair and green eyes. But none the less she was a Valkyrie. “Now little one’s mind your manners…” Seusyn said, knocking on the door. "Arn't we alittle earily?" Lisiyra said.
Queen Luna heard the knocking on the castle door and turned to Amadeus. "Do you mind if I..."
"No, go ahead," Amadeus said gently. "You are family."
The queen of the Moon Kingdom gave a harmonious chuckle before she turned to the doors. She opened it, and to her surprise, the Valkeries were here. "Welcome, freinds!" She greeted warmly. "Welcome! I am Queen Luna of the Moon Kingdom and two of the Obsidian siblings are behind me. And my other very good friend here is Aquamarine Orchid, the shape-shifter dragon. Jaina Obsidian is in the dining hall with a guest. Come in, come in!"
Seusyn smiled at the queen bowing in respects. "Its nice to see your still full of cheer life Queen of the moon." She said happily walking in fallowed by the others. Lisirya stayed very quite walking in, she didn't want to draw any attion to herself. Three littles giggled holding the huges flowers. "My I didn't think we were this earily, that so mush still needed to be done." Seusyn spoke.
"Seusyn, it is all well. Do not worry yourself for being early, sweet dear. I see that you have brought the adorable small ones... and Lisirya, too! How wonderful!" She elegantly closed the door behind them. "Make yourself at home! Is there anything I can get you? Tea or a bite to eat perhaps?"
Seusyn smiled at the queen kindly. "No I'm quite fine thank you. Yes I brought Lisirya, seeing as she's never been to anything like this...And the three? We have a gift for them." She kindly. Lisiyra felt her cheeks burn as she looked the other way, Tamra looked at Lisiyra then away seeming a bit tense.
"Tamra, Tamra, good to see that you have made it as well. A gift? How grand. I'm sure the Obsidian siblings will love it. The gift table should be in the dining hall," Luna said. "Unless you wanted to give it to them now. I'm not sure when Jaina will be available."
"I am going to take my leave," Amadeus said politely. "Please pardon me. I must see to it that preparations are being done before the ceremony." He bowed to the Valkeries. "I appreciate you coming. You honor us with your presence, honorable Valkeries. Thank you." Then he turned his gaze to josiah and Aquamarine. "Could you both please join me? I could use your tremendous strengths to help me set up chairs in the throne room. I could also use your magnificent wings, Aquamarine, for the set up of decorations."
"Of course!" Josiah and Aquamarine said together. They both bowed to the Valkeries and set off to work.
Amadeus Obsidian bowed again to the new arrivals and followed behind Josiah and Aquamarine.
Seusyn called out to Amadeus; "If you need help these to could be of great help in most ways." She said poniting to Tamra and Lisirya. Lisiyra, sighed, but looked at the three leaving as did Tamra, who just smriked, her cocky ways showing alittle bit. The three little girls ran off towards the dinning hall, their little dresses fallowing behind them, with their real featherd handband.
"Of course!" Amadeus replied back after halting for a little. "We could always use the extra help! Thank you!" Then he continued on to the throne room.
"I will go around and decorate the halls. That's my favorite thing to do, indeed." Luna smiled warmly. "Well, off I go. Like I said, make yourself at home." The queen left for the decorations room for the tapestries, drapes, and special red carpets.
Tamra and Lisirya fallowed the other to the thrown room, simply. Lisirya stayed very quite looking around the castle in amazment, She was completly lost ing thought. Tamra was looking at the brothers. "So....excting day?"
"Yes," Amadeus said with a grin, but then it faded when a thought came across. "It's quite exciting but it also makes me nervous."
"Amadeus has to do the main address in front of everyone, that's why," Josiah said with a laugh and laid a hand on his brother's shoulder. "Don't worry so much about it. You'll do a good job. I'm certain of it."
Lisiyra looked at the two. "Being Nervous is a useless emtion..." She said clamly, her hair, swanging behind her.
Tamra grined. "Its ture, it's really a state of mind." She finshed for Lisiyra.
"And if you are to be adress first there is a reason for that. So think of it that way." Lisiyra spoke lightly, like her words were rain. She wasn't showing much emtion anyways.
Blitz how far away are we?
Amadeus only nodded. When the two brothers got to the throneroom with the others close behind, they saw that, in the room, were piles of tapestries, a large carpet, and the Starlight Kingdom banner. These things were neatly foded in the front right corner of the place where they could be easily accessible.
"Come along, Blitz!" Luna called. "Come help me with the decorations, dear! We are many miles away from the Moon kingdom. We shall be here for several days, I should think."
Blitz I ment are we there. Never mind Runs over to help with banner and balloon decorations
Luna sighed with a smile. "Yes, we are here, dear one." She entered the decorations room and began rumaging through it. She found some nice turqoise carpets, vases, drapes, and tapestries. She chose the blue drapes and handed them to Blitz. "Here you are. Hold on to those for me please." Then she gathered up the carpets into her arms. "Are we ready to put these in the right places, dear?"
Blitz Yes Mam
"Come along," Luna said. She then came over to the main entrance and laid down one of the carpets in front of the doors so it would lead guests to the throneroom. "Please go and hang the drapes dear. Do you see the white ones hanging up? You have to replace those with the blue ones," Luna explained, smiling.
Blitz walks over to the door the sun is very hot. She gets Block and stands on it to do what she needs. She takes down the white one carefully putting the things holding it up in the front Pocket of her dagger. She drops the white one on to a near by carpet and put up the Blue one so it has like a bow at each coner. Like this?
"Perfect, Blitz! Absolutely wonderful! You are doing an excellent job so far!" Queen Luna commented, happily. She then took more of the blue carpets and layed them down neatly in the other hallways.
Blitz thnks for the praise
"You're welcome, dear," Luna replied, laying down the last carpet. "Now that those things are done, let us go to the greenhouse for decoration plants!"
Blitz follows Luna.
Aina smiled softly and shrugged. "Well, I'd prefer a two story. I like your idea of building a shop off of my house. Maybe an entry through the house into it as well. I mean...I don't want a castle, so to say. Just something livable. A place for a family maybe. I'm hoping to have a family someday." She didn't have a layout, anything would do, really. Just as long as the roof didn't leak and the floors didn't squeak.
Smiling, one of the three men drew a concept of the house on a white sheet of parchment rested upon a wooden pad. He showed it to Aina in hopes that it might look well for her.
Aina gave the drawing a good once over and smiled. "I love it, it's perfect." Tears welled up in her eyes at the thought of this woman doing something so nice for a stranger. Exavier nudged her side and whimpered softly.
Jaina smiled blissfully. "So, Aina, would you like to supervise the project or go enjoy yourself? I believe I have to meet with my brothers in a little bit because I feel that they might think that I have neglected my duties." She laughed lightly a little.
"If it's alright, I'd like to get to know the area a bit better. Oh...where is this house being placed, exactly?" Aina's fingers were once again tangled in Exavier's mane, to anyone he would seem to be her haven, her comfort zone.
"Wherever you'd like," Jaina replied softly. "The three men can help you, or I can have one of my brothers help you. They know the area better. I don't get out much."
....Three Hours Later....
Three hours later, the castle was all prepared and decorated. Chairs were finished being set up in the throne room and tables were all set up in the dining room. The decore was so beautiful and well-fit for ceremonies and celebrations thanks to all the excellent helpers who pitched in to help the Siblings and Luna Star Angel. Everyone was welcome to attend the ceremony in the throneroom, but now, at the moment, the Obsidian Siblings have to wait for the remaining of the coming guests to arrive. During that time, the three of them used it to their advantage by readying themselves for the forthcoming, vital event. Honestly, they were rather nervous about the whole situation (who wouldn't be?), hoping that everything would go well. They had their great grandmother's aid after all. Special people from other countries were pouring into the castle and seating themselves on the chairs in the throneroom, patient for the entire ceremony to begin. It was only a matter of ten minutes.
An elven man named Fallon entered the throneroom with an air of sheer curiousity. Of course, no one has ever seen this man before within Kingdom Moon and Kingdom Starlight. In fact, he was rather new, always asking guests how things worked within the kingdoms. He was polite, but never talked about himself. No one really suspected him of anything because of the type of person he seemed to be. Not one person could identify Fallon since none of them knew him. It never struck anybody that he really wasn't supposed to be there. Truthfully, Fallon had this dark secret, keeping it close to himself, yet no guest really noticed or cared. To them, he was just a person who existed, someone who blended well with the crowd.
Another couple of strangers came into the throneroom, but they were less curious. One was an Elf and the other a Dragon; the elf went by Aurelius and the Dragon called himself Able. It was just a Dragonrider and his Dragon coming to be part of the audience in respect for the new kings and queen. They kept to themselves, knowing better than to draw too much attention to themselves. They, too, had a secret, but it wasn't dark like Fallon's. Rather it was more holy, yet not suspected.
An interesting, quiet fellow found himself entering the throneroom which would host the grandest ceremony of all time. Almost everyone knew him as Jonathan Blake the Knight of the Starlight Kingdom and the most famous of knights now-a-days. Because people respected him, he was uncaring whether or not he wore a shirt and today he didn't. Jonathan had a stalk of dried grass in his mouth that he chewed on to keep him occupied as he seated himself down in one of the polished walnut chairs. He was a patient guy, spreading himself out to get comfortable where he was. He was, in fact, grateful that the seats were cushioned.
Luna Starangel entered the throneroom, gazing out over the number of guests and visiters, and happily satisfied until she took in the sight of Jonathan Blake. She really wasn't too pleased with him on how he displayed himself. He could at least put a shirt on and act appropriate for the ceremony. Luna rolled up a piece of white parchment before quietly going over to him and , from out of nowhere, she wacked him across the head. "Jonathan Blake!" she cried in distress. "Show some respect for your friends! This is a ceremony, not a tavern! Put a shirt on and sit correctly!" She continued, fussing like a typical grandmother would, though she didn't look like one. She looked more like a woman in her twenties. "Come on!" she urged.
Giggling, Aquamarine, still in her Draconian form, followed into the room behind Queen Luna, watching her scold Jonathan. It was a hilarious sight to behold, so she couldn't help but laugh. "Goodness!" Since she didn't have her scythe with her, she was able to fold her long arms as if she was a spectator watching a battle in a colloseum. She smiled brightly.
"Queen Luna! Uck! You got me! You got me! Fine! I'll put my damn shirt on! Geez, woman!" Jonathan Blake unwillingly pulled out a spare, sleeveless, white shirt from his travelling pack and slipped it on so he could get Luna to calm down. "There! Happy, grandma?" He sat straight, still chewing on the dried grass as he crossed his arms, fuming from the ears.
Araglas Avanstorm had arrived earlier in the day as everyone had been setting up for some grand event. He had not been able to ferret out much information from a theif he had caught earlier trying to steal some precious things from what looked like someones room. He had managed to at least get what was happening out of the slimy man before he passed out from pain. IT appeared as if a coronation were on his doorstep, but he still didn't even know he name of the land he was in. He shook his head and a few strands of his bloodred hair fell in front of his red eyes. He left it there, not bothering to swipe them away. He was Mordsith, just because he wasn't near Lord Rahl and couldn't feel his bond, didn't mean he should act any less of a Mordsith. He turned his red eyes to a scene that was unfolding far away from him by the front of the room, a beautiful woman was smacking some beligerant child over the head for not wearing a shirt to the ceremony. He paused for a second as he took in both of them before moving his eyes onto the Draconian girl followed the woman into the room. Once through assessing her he moved his eyes to stare at an alien sky through a window to his right.
Lisirya sighed sitting in her chair next to her master Seusyn, and Tamar on the other side, the three girls sitting waiting for the ceremony to began so they can go play after. Lisirya looked over at the Women who was to be crowned Queen, Luna. A though dawned on her; why all three wasn’t the one to be addressed frist? So why did the other gain the title of monarchy? Lisirya sat there confused for a moment then shrugged it off. Did it really matter on who was king or queen these days? Lisirya features were blank; but it made her pale figure all the more beautiful; her long slivery hair with ruby highlight hung like silk and her icey blues warned off those who might stare at the Valkyries. But people did stare at her atlest comparing her to the other Valkyries; they were tanned and golden she was cool like ice and sliver. She began to mumble about not wanting to be here. Seusyn looked at her and rose her eyebrow; which in turn made her shut up.
Aina had planned on watching them start on her new house, but since she was going to be a member of this kindgom, she decided she needed to be a witness of the ceramony. Taking a seat a few rows back, Exavier sat at her side. Glancing around she saw a few people that had caught her on when she had come into town. That was one thing about her, she noticed everything around herself and rarely missed a thing. This would be one of those times.
"Hello every one who has come to join us. My name is Blitz I am a Lycon. THe jurny here was funn I hope to have more things to do soon. I am lookin forward to seving whoever it will be."
Aurelius and his dragon Able watched the varieties of people who were attending the ceremony. Seeing Queen Luna, the two chuckled behind their lips and grinned in an amused fashion. They knew who she was of course; they knew who everyone was really, but the explanation on "how" and "why" continued to remain a mystery to the whole of the guests and visiters. Able gave a low, quiet growl upon noticing Fallon, not at ease at all. There was soemthing about that person that made him irritated, yet know one could possibly even know why, despite if they would ask. No one dared to because, like most of the world's population, they were too scared and just brought about unecessary gossip.
Fallon, from the shadows, glared over at Luna as if to kill by eye contact. There was something about him now that seemed to drive others away. Once again, gossip would grow, but no action. Now, Fallon intended on watching the ceremony from the far corner of the room to the right of the throneroom doors. He was no longer the curious creature they all thought he was. The people's suspicions about him were becoming even more kindled by their own curiousity. This elf, they thought, appeared dangerous if he came too close, so they kept their distance just to be safe. No one could really know for sure, for they lacked the courage to face him themselves. Most of society was like that, especially for those who have no care for others except for themselves.
Luna smiled, straightening herself. "Very good," she said, her tone growing warmer. "I would like you to look appropriate for my grandchildren's ceremony. Thank you, Jonathan."
Seusyn looked over at Fallon; she made a note on how other responed to him. Lisirya sighed glancing around; she didn't seemed pleased. They didn't pay much mind to the boy and is clothing choice; atlest he wore pants. Tamra was fidling with clothes; as the three young girls grewm impainant.
A pair of high profile late comers made their way to a reserved area at the head of the gathering and to the left. "I do wish the Queen had let us screen the guests more thoroughly before allowing them entrance," Erindor said to his five headed chrome companion. Given there wasn't a chair for his eleven foot draconian form, Erindor brushed his scabbards aside and took a seat upon one of Malestrom's talons.
Malestrom's five pairs of eyes searched the audience for any suspicious signs that might indicate an immediate danger to the royal family. "I do agree with you, but Luna felt that the crowning ceremony would be better received if she extended an 'open arm' policy." From his towering height of fifty feet, the Dragon could see all. Erindor and the Archangel were Luna's bodyguards after all.
Queen Luna of the Moon kingdom made her genial way to the three thrones, in plain view of all the visiters and guests. Smiling, she peered out over the crowd of onlookers, folding her hands together blissfully by her bosom. her blond hair drawn over her shoulders, she appeared very elegant in the light, which was filtered through a glass window in the cieling. When she spoke, her words were solft like the petals of a white rose. "welcome to the crowning ceremony, my friends. I would first like to thank you for attending as this is a very important and special event to all of us here in the Starlight kingdom, including me, Queen Luna Starangel, of the Kingdom of the Moon; since these are my great grandchildren. I pray that the gods will be satisfied with the decision of the people and I in choosing the next sovereigns to rule over Starlight and her citizens." Luna turned to her right where there were pale blue drapes covering a side corridor. "now we shall proceed with the ceremony." she moved her arms to her side, eyes forever gazing at the drapes. "come forth, Amadeus. Come forth, Josiah. and come forth, Jaina."
"Oh, its just begun," Master Draygun whispered to his brother, King Erador in hurried Draconian as the emerald pair tried to make their way into the back of the congregation.
"The Sovereigns to be are quite young," Erador rumbled, sitting on his haunches.
Aquamarine watched closely, keeping her senses open to the world around her in case a darkness was creeping somewhere within the throneroom. Honestly, she didn't like Fallon. there was something about him that made her blue skin crawl.
Araglas watched intently at the forms of the new monarchs and wondered at their young ages. Lord Rahl was young yes but he had a reason to be young, he had no other choice. Maybe it is custom in this land for whatever age to become to the throne when that age is reached. He stilled his moving mind and grew still as he noticed a few pair of eyes watching him from interest. He knew he should have kept his cloak on. His blood red leather and armor stood out quite plainly in this room of people who dressed so richly. It was form fitting, showing his lithe body and hardened muscles. His agiel at least people were not curious about. They thought it a mere riding crop. The thought caused him to smirk and he almost laughed. Instantly his humor vanished as he turned his eyes back to scanning the room.
One by one, the Obsidian Siblings walked in single file out from behind the drapes, all dressed in flowing, aquamarine robes, whice were brimmed with silver ivy vines. On the back of the robes was the glorious Starlight insignia in a glistening, metallic form. all three of them had a serene smile on their faces, but, truthfully, they were nervous; they knew the ceremony required them to be graceful, and they did just that. standing in a line across the stone floor, their backs were turnd towards the audience as they faced Luna Starangel. This is the moment, Jaina and josiah. Be the very best you can be. Especially you, Jaina. The people look up to you the most. Remember what our parents stood for! Amadeus said to his brother and sister through mind contact. Courage and hope!
Courage and hope! Josiah and Jaina repeated confidently together.
Mercy and love! Jaina said happily as if to remind them.
Mercy and love! the brothers recited with a blissful grin.
Remember what you've practiced, my darlings. "Children of Holondom and Children of Esteroth, kneel so that all may know that, even though you are royalty, you are also servants to the kingdom of your forefathers, tending the needs of the people and caring for the kingdom so that it may shine to illuminate the darkness," Luna said softly. After her great grandchildren came down to one knee in representation of submission of one's self to the country, she continued strongly so that her words could be heard across the room. "repeat my following words and bind yourselves to them with every aspect of your heart." Luna sStarangel cupped her hands by her bosom, using her graceful magic to create a flowing blue light to bring more elegancy into the ceremony. "Until death take me I will watch over the kingdom like the loving shepard to the flock, supplying every need even whether it be fighting off the bear of troubles or slaying the ravening wolf of darkness."
With bowed heads, the Siblings repeated, upholding a passionate air to their voices to let the hearers know that they meant it.
"I will give no hand to the malevolent Slytherus and kiratosh, the gods of evil. i shall serve Holondom and his companion the Goddess of Light and Peace, Serena." The Siblings repeated. "I shall not let the blood of waging war stain my hands out of hatred. Rather, I shall protect the kingdom with my life, only declaring war if the people and their ways of life are threatened." The Obsidians repeated. "Pride shall not take control of my heart and greed shall not hold sway over me. I shall be selfless, submitting myself to the people for the people as if they were my own. I shall hold love. i shall hold mercy. I shall hold forgiveness. I shall hold courage. i shall hold hope. And during war i shall be strong, being not a coward but a lion with the grace of a dove and having the gentle heart of a lamb." They repeated again and Luna continued. "In this, I will carry the burdens of th people as my father did and his father before him. I shall also hold the elegance of my mother and her mother before her. I will stand strong!" Luna smiled as she looked upon them with glistening eyes of bliss. When they were finished reciting her words, she thought to them, I am very, very proud of all three of you.
Still smiling, Luna motioned towards three children off stage who were holding pillows with gorgeous crowns, which were made up of intertwining ivy vines of steel, bearing beautiful moonstones in the semblance of tiger lilies. The three small children came over to Luna in a straight line. Gently, Luna took the crowns, one at a time, and placed them on the brows of the Obsidian Children. "Thank you, young ones," she said to the young children before they left. She turned her sparkling gaze back to Amadeus, Josiah, and Jaina. "By the power given unto me," three elven men came through the drapes, bearing magnificent, unique swords across their hands which they held by their chests, "I dub thee true sovereigns of Starlight." Luna picked up the swords, again one by one, and handed them to her grandchildren each in turn. First she came to Jaina, the youngest of the three, giving her a beautiful sword. the pommel was in the likeness of a swan's head with sapphire eyes and at the ends of the cross-gaurd was a shape of a diamond rose. The hilt was wrapped in aquamarine-colored silk. "Rise, Queen Jaina Obsidian the Graceful!"
Araglas watched the coronation with interest but nothing more than that. True each of these children were interesting, but he didn't think they would be able to help him. Plus as soon as they were all crowned, and after the party they would likely be busy for the next few months learning their routines of being Kings and Queen. A woman in a tight fitting gown turned her large liquid gold eyes on him as she passed him, she gave him an alluring smile and sniffed rudely when he didn't reply to it. His eyes flashed instantly and he reached for the hilt of his agiel. But all he did was grip it, wishing to feel the pain that it would bring so he could clear his mind of everything but. As soon as his gloved hand touched the handle, it was like lightning struck him. His pupils dialated and his breathing grew deeper, but he controled it very well, being Mordsith ment you could handle any pain given to you.
Blitz looks round the room trying to make out whom she is sat next to. "Aquamarine" she whispers where are you.
"Over hear, Blitz," aquamarine whispered sweetly.
As Jaina took the sword, she rose and, as she rose, applause broke out among the onlookers. Jaina bowed to the audience in respect and stepped back.
Then Queen Luna came to josiah, the middle child of the three. She handed him a sword whose pommel and ends of the cross-gaurd held the semblance of a wolf head with eyes of ruby. "Rise, King Josiah Obsidian the Courageous!"
Taking the sword, Josiah stood up as the applause continued and then did the same as his sister.
Now, lastly, Luna came to Amadeus, the oldest of the Obsidian siblings. she gave him a sword with the pommel of a dragon head similar to Holondom's. The crossgaurd was made up of a pair of dragon wings and the center held a sapphire cut like a roaring dragon. The hilt was wrapped in white silk. "And rise, King Amadeus Obsidian the Righteous! Watch your siblings and guide them."
Amadeus rose and brought the sword into his hands before following Jaina and Josiah's example of bowing and stepping back. applause trailed behind him as well.
Blitz watches. She jenuflecks to the royalties.
Araglas watched as he politely applauded for the new rulers. People now mulled out speaking gaily and drinking heavily of the different wines and ales. He shook his head curtly at a man in a uniform who offered a tray of the wines to him. As he watched him walk off the same woman as before passed him again, flashing her gold eyes at him. He again ignored her, but this time she walked up to him and smiled at him.
"My name is Anastasia Delmoren, my father is one of the officials presiding over todays coronation. I do not believe that I have ever seen you before. From what nation do you come? And whatmay I ask are you wearing..and wat is that thing your holding?" Her voice was sultry, and light. A pleasent mixture used to intoxicate men. But sadly it held nothing for Araglas.
Araglas sighed and stood a little straighter, he was very irritated with this woman. He turned his red eyes on her, "My name is Araglas...you would not know the lands I come from because we woul not tolerate conniving wenches like you..now please...I will not be coming to your bed this night, so go find another poor soul to take." He stared at her hoping that had been blunt enough.
Anastasia's face reddened and her eyes flashed. "How dare you talk to me like that! I am of nobility! You have no right to talk to me as such! You will learn the mistakes of ignorance!" Quick as lightning her hand snatched the Agiel from its sheith, she had pulled her arm back so she might hit him with it, but she dropped it as a scream of pain erupted from her mouth silencing all talk and commotion in the room, she fell back into a servant as she grasped her arm. Her fingers were blackened and curled, black lines raced up her arms but stopped as she dropped the Agiel. Through her cries of pain she managed to cry out, "GUARDS!! GUARDS!!!"
Streamers of a lightly luminescent white fog spun rapidly around the materializing form of Erindor, standing between the woman and Araglas. "Ms. Delmoren, I suggest that you find a healer for that and be on your way. His glowing eyes alighted upon Araglas next, "Do not fret. Come with me and Malestrom and we shall talk of your plight as promised before. Is that agreeable?"
Lisirya stood up making her to the door passing the arguing guest; as she walks by the guest; a cold shiver can be felt as she moves like a fog over still water; graceful and mistorus. Seusyn watched as her young Warrior walks away just before the end. She worried when Lisirya just got up and left with out a word. Every day she saw her poor lizzy disappear. Lisirya met the gaze of Araglas; the way he spoke to her; was very rude mannered; but it was only a moment then she was gone out to the hall; she gasped for air. It was random; and very strange. Seusyn stood and told Tammra to watch the little ones. With out even disturbing a signal guest she walked over to the small group. "Greetings; May I ask what is the problem here?" Her was just as soft as mother would speak to her frighten children threw a thunderstorm. Seusyn eyes fell on Anastasia hand; with one look she knew that something wasn't right.
Given the enormity of the event that was occurring, Erindor did not want a scene. "...Yes, after we all move to a more private location," Erindor replied, sweeping his hand back to indicate they should all move in that direction. "I'm not going to arrest you, you do need help anyways," Erin gently coaxed, mentally speaking to Araglas of course.
Blitz nods and awaits the move. "yes after you" She smiles slightly at Araglas but her wolf ness was sending off a bad signal as though Blitz could scense trubble but did not want to upset the procedings but was ready incase she was needed.
Anastasia nodded, her servant helping her away from the scene. But it did not stop her mouth from telling anyone of the young man whose weapon had hurt her so. She made more accusations as she left the room saying he had threatened her when she had ignored his advances and hurt her so she would accept him. By the time she was out of the room, several of the guests were staring at Araglas with open hostility.
Araglas nodded at Erindor, "I apologize, but she grabbed my agiel before I could react..she was rather fast and I admit I failed to recognize what she was doing before it was too late. Thank you." His gaze went to Blitz and Lisirya. "I would not know the way to go, so I of course shall follow whoever does." he said it simply and plainly.
"After me then," Erindor directed, giving a sweeping stern look to those who were rudely staring. He walked them to a nondescript corridor and turned a corner into a small chamber, then rolled his eyes to himself when he forgot to allow a space enough for Malestrom. "Agiel? That is not a weapon of these lands. I expect is as much for defense as it is for offensive purposes? No matter, 'Noblelady' Anastasia is known for her saucy overtones and runaway mouth. We have a short while before the closing ceremony, perhaps you'd like to explain your plight in greater detail?"
Araglas had followed after Erindor without glancing at anybody, his red eyes following the other male only. He had retrieved his agiel from where Anastasia had dropped it on the floor and continued to hold it in his hands from where he was standing. His breathing become labored as lightning corsed through his veins and his pupils dialated. As he entered in the room after Erindor he set the agiel into its place at his waist. He swept red bangs from his eyes as he leaned against the wall and breathed deeply. His red leather/armor outfit glinted in the light of the room as he tried to settle his body from reacting to the pain. After a moment he opened his eyes and looked at Erindor with a hard apologetic look, "The Agiel is a weapon from the lands I am from.." He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose with his gloved hand before shaking his red mane and turning his red eyes again on Erindor. "I shall start from the begining. The lands I am from are called D'hara. I am what is called a Mordsith. Mordsith are the personal bodygaurds of the ruler of D'hara, whom is known as Lord Rahl. At a young age, children who are the sweetest and kindest are taken from their homes, sometimes their entire families are taken. I woke in the middle of the night, by someone screaming...my mother I think. I saw a beautiful woman in red leather standing by my bed, and in that instant, I knew my life was over. To become Mordsith, we must be broken, again and again. Till we come to except our new roles in our life. I was trained everyday by this very agiel." His finger reflexedly touched the agiel at his waist and he took in a sharp breath as pain coursed through his hand. Sweat gleamed on on his forhead as he gripped it and took it from its place and held it down by his leg. "The agiel is a weapon of magic. And only a Mordsith knows how to release that magic. It is a weapon of pain, merceless unbearable pain. It can break bones, shatter muscles, tear ligaments, break the skin, stop the heart, destroy your mind, and make you my willing slave so that you will never know its pain again." He took another deep breath as he paused, allowing the sweet tantalyzing pain to run through him unchecked before he remembered himself and spoke again, this time softly. "My mistress broke me every day for three years..at night I was tossed into a little cell that had no light and was wridden with rodents. It would all start the next day over and over again till my mother was brought before me and my master broke her in front of me. She did her best to fight it, but in the end it was hopeless, she like me crawled around my mistress begging and doing her biddings. After another four years..I was brought before my father whom they had been holding just for my acceptance into the Mordsith.." He grew very silent as he tried not to remember all he did, but it was futile, "I was forced to break my father, train..him....as I was trained. And in the end, when he was broken and my willing servant, I put my Mistress' agiel in his ear..and killed him." The grip on his agiel was tighter now, and his arm was shaking madly from the pain, "The night I killed my father, my Mistress awarded me her agiel and gave me her blessings to be in the order of the Mordsith." His eyes were clouded with the pain of remembrance, but he fought past it to finish his story. "Exactly three months ago, I was traveling with my Lord Rahl on a mission to the Old World, which is a land south of D'hara, when we were attacked by Sisters of the Dark, Evil Sorceresses that wish nothing better than to allow the Keeper into our world so he may wreak destruction on the innocent..may the good spirits never let that happen, but one of them had cast a spell and shot it right at him, but I pushed him out of the way and instead I was hit. I felt like I was on fire, then doused with ice..and I fell into darkness..then I awoke here...in these lands....I have no idea where I am...everything around me is strange and unfamiliar, and I don't know, how I am going to return home, or even if I can find Lord Rahl again..I can't even feel him through the bond that all D'harans feel with Lord Rahl." He grew quiet after that and allowed Erindor to think over what he said, but he kep the grip on his agiel tighter than ever.
"Superb," Erindor thought to himself with a tinge of sarcasm, "we have a stranger to these lands and possibly this world who is by nature an extremely trained and potentially highly dangerous bodyguard with pain as his weapon." The Queen's Guardian made a mental noted of a personal nature on the issue.
"Don't be so hard to judge," Malestrom soothed. "You or I could be described in nearly the same fashion, excluding the alien the the lands part of it."
After drinking in Araglas' words, Erindor drew a breath, "Unfortunately, I have never heard of your land, of your leader, or your kind, dear Mordsith Araglas," Erindor rumbled in reply. "However...magic does leave its traces. These traces may be in you or perhaps the area where you became conscious; in the earth or the trees. Until the time that the crowning ceremony is complete, you shall stay near me; as much as for your own safety and others who are ignorant. Is that satisfactory?"
Lisirya Had watched both Araglas, Erindor leave the hall into a small room. She was standing in the hall; trying to clam her thoughts. She didn’t intend to essdrop; but she did over hear a few things thinking it was none of her business; but the man called Araglas was from another world. This thought made her mind spin fast and faster with doubt about everything! It was it true that there were more worlds and lands that had more evil? She was raised to believe that this was the only world. Lisirya knew she could never discuss this with Seusyn. She began to turn and leave; but deep down she wanted to ask him questions. Pacing back and froth she chose to leave and go back to the hall back to the ceremony.
Blitz "exatly were are we going are we staying in the hall or leaving?" Then she saw some thing she did not. The Moon, She turned to her friend aquamarine. "I have to leave now!".
