Wight

Info - Wights are also known as "Dust Ghosts" though in reality, they're not Ghosts quite yet. Unlike most corporeal undead, there is both an ethereal and a physical component to wights. Wights are sentient undead which are in the treshold between skeletons and ghosts, they are not strong enough to manifest themselves without a body, but they do not require a full body either. Hence, they use the ancient bones of their original bodies, haphazardly holding them together even though they shatter, splinter and just become bonedust easily. Their sentience makes wights aware of their condition as undead, they try to mimick who they were in life but also rue the living entirely. In order to mantain themselves, and become more powerful, wights sap the life of living things amongst them. Because of this, they rarely surround themselves with other undead, prefering to don full body capes and hoods and venture into living populations during cold nights, they pick off one or two lonely victims and then they flee back into the wilderness until the living bring down their guard again. Creatures killed by Wights (and their older cousins, the Wraiths) will often become ghosts, so particularly powerful Wights can leave entire ghost towns laying at their wake.

Appearance - Wights can have several different appearances, younger wights are barely distinguishable from skeletons, though noticeably older and have yellowish, flaky bones. In older wights, their bones have shattered and become a thin bone dust the wight spectral form holds together. The wight will usually give form to the dust to mimic their appearance in life, these kind of wights are called Dust Ghosts. Even when fully realized as Dust Ghosts, wights are able to fully manipulate objects and usually don armor, many have a preference for the equipment they used when living, meaning they wield ancient weapons and armor.

Areas - Wights are usually lonesome and are constantly on the move. They usually appear in populated areas near haunted locations as hooded travelers, not talking or interacting with anyone. At night, they prey on whoever walks the streets alone and move on the next day.
