Frammie trod in eagerly with
Lhayav soon after it. "Y'know, there's no need to rush," Lhayav said, ruffling her pet's fur when it stopped near the entrance.
Al'tul entered shortly after Lhayav and her pet ram, Frammie. "Cozy..." he said in reaction to the arena's appearance. The corrupted terran stood in waiting for the third non-ram figure of their recent triumvirate to arrive.
Kei walked into the arena, unsheathing his sword and stretching his arm that he beared the sheild with, "Sir Terran, I am not a warrior by trade, but I am a warrior at heart, and I have a feeling we may have plenty to learn from each other."
"Spare my ears your life story."
Al'tul replied while searching around for the referee. "We tackled a Level 4 last time I believe." the terran said to Lhayav as a reminder, "We could play it safe by risking only a Level 6, or push the limits to tackle double now that we have an additional ally."
"Indeed..."
Lhayav said and pondered the options for a while. "I'm fine with either, though. Since Frammie and I decided the arena, I'll let you two decide the difficulty once the referee gets around here."
"I am up for whatever task you choose,"
Kei said, nodding towards the teraan, just wanting to start a battle with
some creature or creatures.
Suddenly
Emmet popped into the Arena and waved to the contestants lazily. "So, cirus maximus rite boys?" he asked as he yawned. "What level of difficulty, easy, regular or hard?"
Al'tul pointed a large rocky finger towards Lhayav, and replied to Emmet, "She'll decide." The corrupted Terran got a little bit of a kick from volunteering her to choose, but knew she would probably not argue about it since he managed to endure the last fight for the both of them.
Oh sheesh... Lhayav lamented in her mind. Why always her and all that. After throwing the ball around in her thoughts for a while, she decided: "All right, difficult then."
Al'tul rubbed his forehead when he heard '
difficult' come from his hauken friend. With a heavy sigh and a scratch behind his ear, the corrupted Terran took a moment to prepare himself for the coming battle. Through his mind, he kept repeating
nothing that flies, nothing that flies...
Emmet nodded and quickly left the arena, closing the door that surrounded the portal on the way out, to make sure the warriors, or whatever it was that they were fighting, could not escape. Suddenly, they heard the sound of hooves on the dark, rocky ground approaching. As the greenish Mist dissipated, they saw an powerful black warhorse, its eyes were blood red and it was covered in cuts and scars, maggots crawling in the wounds and flesh and skin hanging from its flanks. Atop the horse was a dark rider wearing splint armor and. The rest of its body was covered in leather much like any rider's would, but his helmet was odd, being long and seeming partly as a muzzle. On his right hand, the ride bore a heavy black iron lance, and on his left hand a Kite shield.
Battle has started!
The turns and positions are as following!
Fellride (D2,D3)*_*
Werewolf Darkrider (A1)(*_*)(Poisoned!)
Lhayav (M5)(-4/18)
Frammie (D3)(6/19
Al'tul (J9)(-1/15)
Kei'ria (H6)
Without further adue, the creature riding the horse howled and its terrifying ride charged towards the group, first it moved towards F1 and then charged directly at Lhayav and Frammie, ! However as soon as the Fellride reached F3, the rider lowered its lance and tried to impale Frammie with it in mid-charge!
Frammie instinctively tried to run away to the side (J6) from the approaching spear.
Frammie tried to escape to the side, but the lance got in the way, grazig Frammie's back and dealing 1 damage, a split second later, the fellram had managed to get out of the way, but Lahyav was still in the midst of the Fellride's charge!
Lhayav didn't want try her chances with the Fellride and its rider when it came to melee combat so she lept out of the Fellride's way to the same side Frammie had gone.
Lhayav was sure she was going to end up a stain on the arena floor, but, as if by a miracle, she managed to jump out of the way at just the right time and avoid the incoming attack!
Lhayav's turn! -
Lhayav panted and turned around to see the Fellride and werewolf. She gathered herself quickly and decided to try to caste Sleep, a spell she had heard of earlier in her life, on the rider and its horse.
Lhayav quickly cast two sleeping spells, unfortunately the rider managed to resist the magic, but the Fellride fell asleep!
Frammie's turn -
Understanding that the Fellride was slowing down and dozing off, and that it had as perfect an opportunity to hurt it as ever,
Frammie took up a Charge at the Fellride.
Frammie charged with all its might, taking a leap as approached the warhorse and striking it on the head, dealing 21 damage! The Fellride shrieked as it woke up and blood came out of its mouth!
Al'tul's turn! -
A smirk happened across
Al'tul's face as Frammie took a superb attack of opportunity. The little ram would make this battle much more interesting and perhaps many times in their favor. Al'tul was a fan of the slow and sensible way of combat, casting poison on both the darkrider and it's fellride steed. It would assure a victory, provided that everyone could survive long enough to see the battle through.
As Al'tul stretches his hands, a cloud of green gas is shot towards the Darkrider and the Fellride, the two gasp and cough for a while and are poisoned!
Kei'ria's turn! -
Kei smirked at seeing the Darkrider and his mount become poisoned, "Nice trick, I may want to learn that sometime," he said, as he aimed a heat beam towards the fellride's head, hoping for a bit of splash damage to hit the rider.
Kei'ria's heat beam struck the darkrider straight in the chest, and though it didn't penetrate his splint mail, it was not necesary, since the heating of the metal dtill dealt 7 damage to the creature!
The Fellride takes 1 damage due to poison!
The horse, now clearly infuriated, runs tover to N5, trying to run over Al'tul in the process, however, when the horse passed through G12, the Darkrider lowered his lance and tried to stab Al'tul in the chest with it!
Al'tul could not help but think a shield would have come in quite handy at this point. With nothing to do, the terran tried his best bet with bracing for the attack since he would be far too slow to avoid it.
Surprisingly enough, Al'tul managed to deflect the incoming lance by bashing it with both arms, crossed against his chest! However that did not stop the warhorse's charge, which tried to trample Al'tul as it passed!
Al'tul thought the tactic of bracing for impact against a creature larger than itself was foolhardy, and tried stepping out of the Fellride's way before becoming beast fodder. It would be an ironic fate indeed for Al'tul to become closer to the earth only after getting squashed into it.
Unfortunately, Al'tul was too slow to avoid the charging horse. The Fellride struck him head on, tossing him like a rag doll down to the floor and dealing 10 damage, and then ran him over, dealing an extra 6 damage!
Lhayav's turn! -
Lhayav winced as she saw Al'tul being charged to the ground. It must have looked pretty similiar when the lizard had mauled her. She gathered herself quickly and moved to the Darkrider, casting Sonic Blast on it and hoping it would stun the enemy because it would make the fight a lot easier.
Lhayav flew towards the Fellride and positioning herself next to him, she struck the floor with her sword and yelled out some random magical word, almost immediately, a sonic discharge in the shape of arung struck everything around her, including the two enemies, dealing 2 and 3 damage and stunning them!
Frammie's turn! -
Frammie wanted to go help its master but Lhayav shooed it back, it had the best chances against the big Fellride. Frammie then took up for another Charge at it, baaing wildly.
Frammie charge, jumping up in the air as he did so and striking the Fellride in the head, dealing 19 damage! The powerful blow almost knocked the horse to the side, but managed to wake it from the stun!
Kei'ria's turn! -
Seeing an opprotune time to attack the weakened ride,
Kei raised his hands and casted another Heat beam at the fellride.
Once more, a concentrated beam of energy came from Kei'ria's hands, this time striking the Fellride and dealing 5 damage!
Panicking without any directions from its rider, the Fellride tried to run over Lhayav and Frammie as it headed for D2/D3!
Both
Frammie and Lhayav dodged out of the mad horse's way, Frammie dashing towards the center of the arena and Lhayav flying up high out of the Fellride's reach.
Unfortunately, the Fellride simply trampled Lhayav and Frammie as they tried to get away, dealing 24 damage to the girl and knocking her out, and 12 damage to the Fellram!
The Darkrider took 1 poison damage!
Frammie's turn! -
"Oh Shi..."
Kei said, seeing his last comrade fall to the wayside. He saw it was just him and the Girl's ram left to fight the mighty Darkrider and his mount.
Vengeful,
Frammie took up yet another wild Charge at the Fellride, intending it to be the last one needed.
With one last powerful charge, Frammie dealt 12 damage to the Fellride and crushed ints internal organs, bashing it in the stomach with his horns and killing the creature!
Kei'ria's turn! -
Kei pulled up his sword into a defensive posture and waited to let the stun and poison take full effect.
The Werewolf took 1 poison damage!
Frammie's turn! -
Understanding what was going on,
Frammie also held back and waited.
Kei'ria's turn! -
"Poor beast, not much we can do now, but it's best to wait for the stunning to run it's course,"
Kei said, looking down to Frammie before lightly patting the ram on its back.
Frammie's turn! -
As soon as the werewolf was showing signs of getting rid of the stun,
Frammie attacked it using its Knockback skill.
Frammie bashed the werewolf straight on, before the creature had any chance to realize where it was or whathad happened, and flung it like a rag doll all the way to A1, dealing 16 damage!
Kei'ria's turn! -
"Let's finish this!"
Kei nearly screamed in anger, Aiming another Heat beam at the werewolf and firing.
The final beam struck the felled werewolk, burning its wounds and preventing them from healing, as well as dealing 3 damage and finally killing the beast!
Battle has ended!
Everyone gains 1625 XP!
Lhayav leveled up!
Frammie leveled up!
Kei'ria leveled up!
Al'tul leveled up!
Groaning to a sitting up position,
Al'tul rubbed his forehead after having been trampled by a fellride. "I live." he said, almost disappointed in tone. Shaking his antlers around while rising up to his hoofed feet, the corrupted Terran took a glance around and saw the smoldering body of the werewolf along with the dead fellride. "Excellent work." he said towards both Kei'ria and Frammie, "Certainly a learning experience for us all." Al'tul groaned again and began rubbing his neck, "I suppose it is time to get to know the local priestess a little better."
Frammie trod to
Lhayav (who was waking up on the ground) and pushed its muzzle against her face. "Ugh... Eh, Frammie, what... What, again?" She slowly stood up, mumbling something about always getting bashed on the ground, and flapped her wings to better know how bad condition she was in. Groaning, she figured she wouldn't do that again, though. "You're a wonderful little ram, you know that?" Then, hearing Al'tul's words, she turned to him and Kei'ria, saying: "That's an excellent idea. I'll do that right away." and left the arena with her ram.
"So much for recooperation and thanks."
Al'tul mumbled, dropping his stone hands to his sides. "Very well then." the terran sighed, and then waved to Kei'ria, "Thank you for securing victory." With a series of hoof trods, Al'tul walked his way out of the Skarradian Arena and back to the
Lemirian Colosseum.
"So much for comraderie,"
Kei'ria sighed before sheathing his sword and exiting the arena.
