The combined force of the Twin's gravitational field and Eliza's precisely timed strike sent Mojo rocketing to the floor like a spiked volley ball. As he struck the ground his personal force-field managed to absorb a great deal of the impact, still, he'd be feeling it in the morning. The crowd roared with satisfaction at this unforeseen turn of events and Mojo growled in seething anger. "RELEASE THE KRAKEN!" He roared. The arena trembled as panels opened along the edges of the ring. The floor suddenly dropped several yards and from the panels gushed thousands of gallons of water. Mojo coughed several times as the water started pooling around him. He flailed his arms around, hacking and sputtering as the water naturally began to wash him. "SOMEBODY GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!" He bellowed.

Spiral's silver locks rained down over her face as she stumbled out of her chair from Waya's punch. She whirled around, her top right arm holding the back of her head. She narrowed her white eyes on the pale girl and drew her swords.

Waya didn't have any weapons, but she had gotten used to using her shadow in self defense lately. She widened her legs and took to the balls of her feet. Balling her fists Waya prepared for Spiral to do her worst.

Eliza had to react quickly. She was the only one who could stand above the water, so the had to get the others out of there. "Boys, can you keep him down there while I get everyone out of the water?" she asked, looking at the twins as her hands came down for people to climb onto. Maybe they could drown the bastard in his own arena.

George groaned as he gazed at his hands and arms, quite a lot of it melted beyond recognition. He looked around, saw Eliza lowering her hands, and bolted for her. He needed to avoid getting water inside him at all costs.

Maribel was completely knocked over from the surge of water that hit her back. Being alone and on the other side arena, it probably would have gone unnoticed. She was tossed forward into the water and mud, being forced onto the ground, finding it a bit too slippery to stand up.

"You got it!" Jayden called and the twins held their gravity on Mojo, keeping him practically magnetized onto the ground.

Jeremy was speeding towards his body. He didn't so much enter it as have the wave of water slam him into it. He was disorientated, floundering, and the first thing he did was breathe in a lung full of water. This wasn't good.

Phinagin was caught off guard by the sudden rush of water, but when he regained his bearings he sprouted bone and formed something similar to platform shoes that kept him out of the water. He saw the twins keeping Mojo down and moved over to try and help. "Let's see how long it takes a slug to drown." with that he added to the twin's gravitational pull by encasing Mojo in a bone cover that pushed down into the arena floor.

Junior confused and disoriented with all this water crashing in on them, had been swimming in the general direction of Jeremy, if just to stay afloat. When he saw his friend struggle he diverted his course that way and held his arms out so Jeremy could feel him trying to help. "I got you!" Hew said, trying to help Jeremy get a hold on the situation.

Jeremy floundered, coughing and spluttering, but he was upright before too long. He spat out a mouthful of water and clutched on to Junior, trembling from the shock of suddenly being living and inhaling the water.

The sudden drop and then the appearance of the water certainly took Rhydian by surprise, though truthfully, they shouldn't have expected less from Mojo. "Did he say Kraken?" He looked at the others as the water flowed around his ankles, it was rising awfully quick too.

Mojo groaned as the gravity crushed him further down, then to add even more to the humiliation, the grotesque little bone boy saw fit to throw in his fair share as well. Sure that was bad news for him, but at the same time, the crowds were loving it. The fans adore when the hosts get involved!

The six armed woman surged forward, using all of her considerable strength and agility to overwhelm the little girl. Her body flowed like water as she danced across the space between them, bringing one sword down to slash cross her chest, swinging the other in a wide arc aiming to cleave her head from her shoulders.

Waya brought her arms up, shielding her chest with her shadow and as Spiral came around behind her to strike again, she shadow-ported into Spiral's shadow again. She wouldn't get by with this trick again but she used the momentary advantage to grab Spiral by the hair and slam her face down into the console, engaging probably fifteen buttons in total.

Eliza had picked up the twins and George, and was holding them above water level. "Guys!" she yelled at the others, swooping in and closing a hand around Junior and Jeremy, pulling the two boys out of the water and placing them on her hand with George and the twins.

Rhydian rushed over to Eliza's hand, the water level was already surging above his waist. He couldn't believe how quickly it was rising...

Eliza grabbed up Rhydian when she saw him approaching, growing a little bit so he would be able to stand on his palm with the others. "Any idea where the Kraken is?" she asked, not liking the sound of it.

The twins looked around frantically, "Where did Waya go?!" Not initially seeing her anywhere.

The floor opened up beneath Mojo and seemed to swallow the monstrous girth of him entirely before sealing back up. Apparently, someone had been listening to his drowning pleas for rescue. At the same moment, an unseen doorway opened and a shadowy monstrosity swam from it's confines. Great black lengths moved beneath the water's surface as the creature made its way free of its cage. Its girth spread out under the ever rising water, turning the water black with it's shadowy presence

"Um... Guys..." Junior said, holding onto Eliza's arm. He saw the surface beneath them grow black with shadow and he suddenly felt like a very small fish in a very big pond.

Spiral stumbled back from the console the girl had smashed her into and steadied her head with one of her hands. It took her only a moment to realize what had happened when her head smashed the console. She whirled around, her swords vanishing from her hands. "Do you have any idea what you've just done?!"

Waya didn't mean to glean it from Spiral's mind but it just popped into her head, the image of an uncontrollable beast without it's collar. "Get my people out of there now!" Waya snarled, sensing in the back of her mind a very large and menacing presence entering the arena.

Spiral pivoted on her foot and started a dance, "I've a better idea." As she danced to music only she could hear, a portal appeared behind Waya and with one swift kick, she sent the girl in

Maribel was still in the water. She was having some difficulties swimming though. It seemed her new skin texture refused to let her sink. The poor spider girl was stuck, flailing on the water, trying to navigate. Unfortunately she was clueless to the giant creature that had just been released. Being on the other end of the arena, she seemed to have also gone unnoticed by Eliza and the others.

The shadow under the water moved far quicker than something of that size should have been capable of. It sensed the movement above it, a light skittering across the surface of the water, like an insect. It flowed through the water, displacing it slightly as it neared the disruption along the surface.

Rather uncoordinated Waya was spat from a portal high above the surface of the water where she splashed noisily into the water. She did not at all like the sensation of being transported against her will and was just about to return to Spiral's control room when, beneath the water she saw the thing that her mind had sensed a moment ago.

George was staying as far away from the others as possible. His arms kept giving off small sparks, and the fingers of one hand looked pretty melted and horrible. He just wished they hadn't wrecked every single one of those other sentinels.

Jeremy let out a "pwah" noise and spat up a lungful of water over the edge of Eliza's hand. He coughed hard, falling a bit against Junior as he continued to cough and wretch.

"Man, you okay?!" Jaden asked, putting a hand on Junior's shoulder. Peering over the edge, he saw a massive beast swimming under the water. "Oh shit... "

Phinagin knew, upon seeing the shadow creeping out into the water, that he wouldn't have time to regroup. He had hoped to drown that giant blob of a Mojo, but that hope had vanished too.

The surface of the water trembled as the shadow grew in size, clearly surfacing. With a tremendous roar, the water surged skyward as the enormous creature known as only The Kraken broke free. The tentacles slithered upwards first, followed closely behind by a large bulbous head lined with thousands upon thousands of razor sharp teeth. A gigantic claw surfaced by the strange silent girl floating along the water's surface.

Had Maribel the right equipment, she would be screaming for her life. It seemed her recent mutations have made her somewhat resistant to water. She was floating on the surface but it made traveling difficult. Frantically, she tried to swim away but the sloshing water was making it hard to keep upright.

The claw closed in around the girl as she flailed along the water

Eliza let out a high pitched squeaking noise as the tentacled monster came out of the water. She flinched back, then brought her foot out of the water and attempted to kick the Kraken in the face.

"MARIBEL!" Phinagin yelled as he saw the Kraken focus on her and her struggling to get away. He produced a long bone trident and threw it at the Kraken's many eyes, hoping to piss it off enough that it leaves Maribel alone.

Junior phased through Eliza protective grip. He could absorb energy from the sloshing water and the excited crowd around them better without having to worry that he was taking anything from Eliza. He lifted his hand like a pistol and aimed down his thumb, firing with a great degree of accuracy at the beast's claw, hoping to force it to release Maribel. If this didn't work, he'd be getting close and personal.

The voracious swirling of the water sucked Waya under as the thing rose. She'd managed to gulp down a breath of air before the current dragged her under and she saw through half lidded eyes the rest of the thing's body. The water, it's size, the crowd, her team, all lit from above with bright overhead lights so the audience could take it in from all angles. There were so many shadows she didn't know what to do with them first. She'd never had such rich thick stock to choose from. Immediately she thought maybe she should summon her own kraken, but she needed to look get a good look at the thing before that could happen. She swam for the surface before she could over think things too much.

Rhydian clutched desperately at Eliza's enormous hand as she rocketed into action. He was not a fan of being the flea on the back of a dog, figuratively speaking.

The Kraken blinked at the precise moment when Phinagin's trident would have pierced the tender flesh of its eye. It spun quickly, dodging the kick aimed for it's head. As the Junior's blast slammed into its claw, it shrieked in pain. Bringing an additional claw out of the water, it clutched at its wounded arm, holding the little girl closer to its chest as it turned to face the aggressor. It opened it wide gaping maw and roared so loud that the water's surface rippled from the shockwave. A tendril whipped around and slammed into the water beside Junior. The creature brought its other arms up out of the water and grabbed a hold of the leg the largest beast had aimed at its face, sinking its sharp appendages into the meaty flesh of her thigh.

Eliza screamed, but with the free hand she had she reached down and grabbed the mandibles of the kraken, trying to haul it from her. She tripped, falling over, landing with a heavy thud and a scream of pain as she fell to the floor. Her hand was still above water though, that was important.

George was trying to hold on to Eliza's hand for dear life. If he got in the water he would probably spark out, electricute everyone and fry his own motherboards. And that was something he did NOT want to do. His weapons were pretty useless as well, since his hands were all melty.

The twins looked at their giant robot friend, "George...can't you fly or something?!" one of them asked quickly. "Maybe distract it?!" asked the other, obviously meaning the Kraken.

Maribel couldn't help but relieve herself as she was cradled against the monster's chest. With her face against him, she was unable to even know what was happening with all the roaring, screams, water and violence. Her body was pinned and unable to move.

Junior swam, seeing the tendril coming for him. He evaded, rode the wave and propelled himself forward. He could only really doggy paddle, but he was fast. He swam for the tentacle and grabbed on, gripping onto the slick flesh with his phasing ability. Finding purchase he ran up the length of it shouting, "MARIBEL!"

Waya surfaced with a gasp and was overtaken by one of the waves caused by the beast's attack on Junior. She grabbed at her own shadow and pulled upward, lifting herself out of the water, using her first mutation, levitation. She was heavy, waterlogged and coughed up a helping of water, trying to figure out where to go from here.

"I don't want to get wet!" George whined as he tried to hold on tight to Eliza's hand, which was trembling and spasming from the attempt to keep herself upright. She was practically using the Kraken's grip on her to stay standing, and George wasn't sure what would happen if she fell.

"You're a fucking sentinal!" Jayden shouted at George. "You can handle a little water for crying out loud!"

"The attack that took out Mojo's protection fried my wires, alright?" George said, gripping on tight to a finger and holding up a hand to show how it had practically melted "If I fall in there my power core will electrify the water and kill me!"

Phinagin cursed when the trident bounced off harmlessly, missing it's target. He rushed forward the best he could till he reached the nearest part of the beast. He changed his shoes from the tall platforms to spiked climbing boots, sprouted climbing claws from his hand and finger, and suddenly grew a sword that would give Cloud inferiority issues before starting his way up the beast.

Junior and Phinagin had shouted her name, but Maribel wasn't able to respond as she was held tight against the monster's chest. Water splashed up and drenching her mouth and throat, forcing her to cough violently.

Junior's heighten agility, claws and ability to phase brought him bounding over the creature's flesh and leaping towards Maribel. She felt so far away but he was quickly closing the distance between them.

Enraged by the continual unprovoked attack, the Kraken clutched the claw, with the little creature within it, to its mighty chest and roared. It dug the teeth of its pincers into the flesh of the large one and hurled her away from itself. A tremendous itch plagued its sides as both Phinagin and Junior began climbing. Its tendrils flew through the air, batting at the little insects that decided to scale its hide. It could not see them, but it hardly cared. Whatever these creatures were, it would stop them. It had done nothing but come up for air when they suddenly attacked without warning.

Clutching the little one to its chest, it crooned softly to her. It had not sensed anything her since it first lifted her and felt the small sensation of warmth as she relieved herself, clearly as either a form of self-defense or shock. It hoped the little creature had not died of shock, surely these others were causing enough distress to do so.

Without the giantess in its claws, it was free to move again and did so quickly. It folded its immense legs beneath its body and allowed itself to sink in the water, bring its arms in to form a protective bubble around the little creature it held. The bubble also served to trap air against its chest so that the creature should not drown. It sank down into the water until only the very top of its massive head was above the water. Then attempted to move away from the dreadful little devils that were attacking it. It wanted to look at its new found treasure and be sure she hadn't yet died.

Maribel now had some room to move around, but as the light of the arena faded and they descended into the water, she KNEW she was going to be dead soon. Going to the creature's skin, Maribel opened her mouth, letting the large fangs seep out. Placing her lips down, they attempted to stab in, but they didn't even scratch the surface of his thick shell.

"Let her go!" Eliza yelled, having righted herself slightly and seeing the Kraken sinking away. She reached out at once, trying to find the Kraken's hand under the water so she could pull it away from Maribel. She didn't know that the Kraken was protecting Maribel, she only saw the great beast pick up a friend and drag her away beneath the water. And that was NOT a nice thing to watch. She was just hoped she didn't get too far down, or the twins would have to keep everyone above water.

Junior phased into the thing's shell and braced for the impact of the water. As strong as the thing's shell, other than his need to breath, Junior was unaffected by the water and continued to climb as quickly as possible, determined to reach Maribel before he ran out of air.

Phinagin was using his sword to try and fend off the tentacles that were batting at him and wasn't paying attention to the fact that the water was rising. When it hit him he was unprepared and was violently ripped from the beast's side and tossed about as he struggled to resurface for air.

"LIZ!" Waya called out and fearing that she couldn't hear her she decided to use her telepathy. Eliza wait! It doesn't want to hurt Maribel! It doesn't want to hurt anyone! She did her best to project the mental image of how protectively the Kraken was being towards Maribel. At the moment the only thing Waya could see saving Maribel was Junior and his ability to phase.

Well talk to it then! If you can see what it intends to do, try to say that we thought we were being attacked. Eliza said, pulling back from the Kraken's hand slowly and retreating further to the service. Now she felt rather guilty about trying to kick it in the face.

I'm trying... Waya told Eliza. It's... it's mind is too big and I'm no good at this.

Use mine. Eliza said flatly I can deal with bigger minds right now. At least I can help you deal with them. Eliza hoped this made sense, in any way at all. She was having a little bit of a wild idea streak right now.

This was so stupid. Eliza was flailing around like a moron while she held both of the twins and George... who was apparently not waterproof. They lifted one another and the robot reject out of her palm and hovered away from the brawl. This fight seemed so reckless and no one was working together as a team...what they all have been TRAINED to do. It was quite irritating.

"Thanks guys..." George said, gazing at the crackling wires down is arms, then casting a glance towards the twins "I'm no use here at all..." He wished he hadn't come. He wished he hadn't seen the sentinels being ripped apart.

The Kraken carried the little creature under the water, away from the aggressive others. For whatever reasons, they appeared to want to do harm to such a little thing. It didn't understand that. It crooned gently from deep within its chest as it dove deeper into the water. It was incredible how much water had filled the arena, enough to allow this massive creature to simply vanish from sight entirely. It swam down until it moved through the doorway that gave it entrance to the arena. When it surfaced again, it was in an entirely separate part, its home away from home, the cage Mojo had created for it. It opened its arms and brought the petite creature up to its face and sniffed it.

Junior felt as if his lungs were going to burst by the time the Kraken surfaced. They likely would have had he not phased into the thing's scales to hold on. He always had to hold his breath when he was phased so at least he was used to it. Gasping for breath as the thing breached the surface of the water, he held on, taking a moment to catch his breath.

"Not really how it works." Waya said, levitating towards Eliza, and the others. "It's not trying to hurt her." She said as she came to a stop, ignoring the crowd. "But it's confused. It doesn't know why we attacked it and thanks to me it's not wearing a control collar."

Maribel fell down from the momentum as the Kraken brought her up to it's face. When she saw the thing so close up, she let out a gasp and shuffled back, bumping against it's claw. From all of the adrenaline through her body, Maribel's eyes had turned completely black. Again, her mutation was accelerated by opposing forces that threatened her life. At least, that she THOUGHT threatened her life.

Rhydian looked up at the twins and couldn't help but glare at them. He couldn't beleive they just hoisted themselves and George out of Eliza's hand, but left him behind for the wild ride.

The Kraken glared down at the little creature in its claw curiously. Its massive tongue slaked out and ran across the surface of the creature's body. It was glad the little one was not dead. The creature's rapid movement certainly assured it of that.

Maribel was lifted off of the monster's hand from the lick. The bumps in the tongue had almost brought her into it's mouth completely, but she managed to drop down and stagger to her feet. She trembled in her spot, dreading that this thing was just getting a sample taste before it would eat her whole. To make things worse, she couldn't even beg for mercy!

Phinagin finally breached the surface after the water calmed down. He took in a deep breath and coughed as his lungs stopped aching. He looked around frantically, trying to see if the Kraken was coming back, "Where did it go?", he shouted to the others.

"It swam off." Waya told them. "Junior is with her..." She closed her eyes, using her telepathy. "He's ok... she's ok, scared but ok..."

"Which way did it go?" Eliza asked, looking down into the water and wondering if she could dive after it. try to explain or something... in any way. It must have an air pocket somewhere, after all, it obviously breathed air. But Eliza would have to try and think of a way to appear non threatening. Or make peace.

The twins lifted everyone who was still in the water, out. They held everyone hovering several feet above the surface just in case that thing decided to snag one of the others.

Jeremy was glaring down at the water, soaked through and looking unhappy about it. "Thank you." he said gently to the twins, who were the third and fourth people to stop him from drowning today.

Junior began to climb again, this time not jumping for fear that the thing might see him or suddenly dive under while he was in mid jump. He camouflaged himself to match and began climbing up the underside of the Kraken's forearm where the beast could not see him.

Phinagin retracted his bone armor as he was lifted out of the water, looking down at his now ruined winter wear.

Rhydian was a little putt off by the fact that he found himself floating in the air now. While the thought of personal flight had always intrigued him, to actually have it happen was rather unsettling.

The Kraken looked down at the little creature in its claw. Tentatively, it brought curious tentacle up from the water and prodded her carefully. It was such a strange little creature. It had picked it up from the water because it was clearly in distress. The Kraken was glad the little thing was alive, but it was still curious. It had never seen anything quite like the little bug girl before, and since being captured by Mojo's slavers, it had faced many interesting creatures and creations over the years. It detested the senseless killing that it had been forced to do. There simply was no reason behind it. Mojo made sure it always had plenty of food to consume, and there has never been any sort of natural enemy for its species. Since becoming a slave to the Spineless One, it had been forced to slay thousands of warriors hoping to gain fame in the games. The control collar wasn't intended to keep the Kraken under control, but rather to turn the usually docile and majestic creature into a mindless, terrifying beast.

Maribel felt the prod as gentle, which was alarming for such a massive creature. Looking up at the monster, she saw not hunger in his eyes, but a strange curiosity. Besides, if he wanted to eat her, she would already be in his gut, dead and half digested. Lifting her hand, she hesitantly waved.

Suddenly Maribel felt something snatch her around the middle and she was falling towards the ground. "Take a breath." Junior's voice told her. She could feel him, but not see him.

Maribel let out a loud gasp when she felt herself plummeting. She saw the back of the Kraken's hand and it's face getting drastically smaller as they fell. She was able to recognize Junior's voice in the nick of time before they went into the water. Closing her eyes and mouth tightly together, her arms wrapped his at her waist. Although they weren't out of the woods yet, Maribel hadn't felt so relieved.

Junior had phased so when they hit the water they didn't smack into it so hard. He slowed their progression and immediately began to pull them through the water using his molecular structure. Now when the Kraken tried to grab them it would get nothing but water.

Eliza was looking around, standing there in her suit and feeling exposed. She was expecting an attack at any second, a vicious attempt on her life from the great creature. Waya said it was friendly, but she'd had a fight with it.

"They're coming..." Waya told them suddenly. "Get ready, I think once it learns she's gone it'll come back for her." she looked at the area of the pool where the thing had gone under, then back to her team. "I wanna try to link our minds to communicate with it... I can't talk to it on my own but I think if we all concentrate on the same thing it might work."

The little creature just fell through its claw. The Kraken stared in disbelief and brought its claw to its face to investigate. When it was sure the little one was gone, it looked down and saw them hit the water without making a splash. It roared, the surface of the water rippling from its tremendous voice.

Maribel was clinging tightly to Junior's arms in a death grip. When she felt water, she began to kick, trying to assist in the swim....though she knew not which direction they were headed.

Jeremy was chewing on his lip with his sharp teeth. He didn't like to think about mixing minds with this huge beast. His mind was already pretty fractured what with... but nevermind. No one needed to know about that. Or her.

Rhydian nodded to Waya. He didn't have to say anything, by now she ought to know he'd follow her anywhere.

Junior swam until they surfaced on the other side, a great distance away from the others inside the area. "I THINK... IT'S COMING!" He shouted between gasps for breath.

Phinagin heard Junior's warning and immediately armored up and rearmed with his large buster sword and waited for the creature to attack.

George was muttering "Please don't let it grab me." under his breath, trying to move as far away from the water as was physically possible. He was short circuiting in a bad way.

Eliza braced herself for the incoming attack. She knew it was going to be an attack. She would have to resist whatever was happening while Waya tried to link them up to the creature.

"Everyone calm down!" Waya barked, trying to open telepathic pathways between half a dozen people wasn't something she was accustomed to. Thoughts and emotions merged into one and she found herself barking at them to, "Shutup!"

Junior propelled Maribel through the water, the only thing above the surface being their heads. He'd be a lot happier once they reached Eliza.

Suspenseful music played through the loudspeakers as the shadow beneath the water grew larger and larger. Ba-dump. Ba-dump. Ba-dump badump, etc.

Eliza decided that if Mojo was going to just really ruin the mood and make even the tense moment absolutely ridiculous, then Eliza would show her complete disregard for his methods. They were trying to keep people from panicking after all, so Eliza presented Mojo yet again with a middle finger of distaste.

"I love Jaws!" Jayden exclaimed excitedly.
"Me too!" beamed his brother, Jaden. The both of them, along with George were hovering high above the water, keeping a distance and overlooking everything for now.

"Ummmm guys...I don't think that's supposed to be a good thing." Rhydian said plainly as he watched the growing darkness in the water. The Kraken was clearly coming back. If Waya was right, then there was no reason for them to fear it...but he had a hard time thinking that way as he watched how quickly the darkness was growing.

"SSSssssshhh!" Waya told them again, squeezing her eyes shut tightly, her fists balled up on her knees. She'd taken a place on Eliza's hand so she could focus her concentration on the Kraken. "God... it's so big..."

"We can handle it if we work together." Eliza said gently, trying to reassure the girl. She wasn't so sure herself. Specially with a not very well trained psychic like Waya behind the steering wheel.

George glanced over towards Waya as she spoke. In fact he turned his head so quickly his neck almost snapped. He knew that he was out of this, he couldn't have psychic powers inflicted onto himself, so he was just going to have to relax up here and try not to get hit by any water.

Junior reached Eliza and helped Maribel into Liz's palm. He was physically exhausted, but he was pretty sure he'd get some energy here in a few moments.

When Maribel was out of the water, she immediately helped Junior up with her. When he looked at her, she immediately signed a 'thank you'.

Jeremy didn't like the idea of others being inside his head. They would hear the voices... the very loud voice being one of the more worrying ones. They wouldn't understand. He hoped they didn't hear.

Right at the climax of the ba-dump badump theatrical suspense music, the Kraken burst forth from the water's surface as if it had been trained to do so; which ironically, it had been, but it was sheer coincedence this time. The water sprayed skyward and the creature opened its enormous jaws and roared defiantly. The little one had been taken before it was certian that the little thing was alright. How would it know if what took her was friend or foe?

Waya caught that last bit through what sounded like static. "FRIEND!" She shouted, both vocally and telepathically. She perhaps had overcompensated and it hurt even her own head when she heard it bounce back from the others. It was far too loud so she tried to adjust. We're friends! We didn't mean to hurt you!

Junior winced and grabbed his head when Waya shouted and was glad that she adjusted quickly before going on.

"Friend. Friend dammit." Eliza joined in, feeling her mind sway and hoping that they could all handle this. It was like putting your brain through rapid learning of an entirely new language completely alien to yourself. That wasn't a nice feeling.

The Kraken roared and looked at the little creatures that surrounded it. Its eyes settled on the strange pale one that glared so intently at it. Clearly that little one was the leader. It had learned much in its years with Mojo, take out the leader and the whole group shall fall. It leaned its head down and peered at her, growling behind its teeth.

Don't suppose I should just try to posses it? Jeremy suggested mentally, his words sounding strangely echoing inside of his own head.

"This is pathetic." Jayden scoffed, whether he meant his teammates or the monster was unclear. "Brother? Would you like to see if this thing can be hypnotized with me?"
"Oh..that might be fun at least. Better than sitting up here with the tin man." Jaden said, casting a glance to George, "No offense."

"Shut up!" Waya shouted at them, "Fuckin concentrate!" She couldn't believe that the combined minds of eight people couldn't reach out to the thing and make contact. WE DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU! she projected, but it was hard when the rest of them weren't concentrating on the same thing.

Junior was concentrating, he was concentrating like hell to try to make this work.

It was hard for Eliza to concentrate, it was like trying to get a thousand pins to point in the same direction, she tried but there were so many and so similar. Either way, she was doing her best.

Jeremy too began to concentrate a bit more. Come on. It couldn't be that hard to say "We're not evil."

Phinagin thought that maybe him being fully armed and ready for battle was not the best way to get across their peaceful message. So he retracted his armor and sword so that he was back in his regular clothes.

Rhydian was concentrating with all his might, thinking good natured thoughts, sending images of friendship along the telepathic line that Waya was transmitting.

The Kraken paused, its fangs inches from closing in around Waya. It pulled back and looked down at the little girl, tilting its head to the side in question

Waya was in more mental strain than she had ever been. Trying to link eight minds and amplify the message was taking it's tole. She was on her knees, hands clinched into fists, trembling slightly. She felt the creature turn quizzical and tried to convey, We don't want to hurt you... Mojo- (she projected the image of Mojo, large, yellow and fat) brought us here. We're prisoners, like you. (She then tried to project the image of knocking Spiral against the console and her saying how Waya released the kraken without it's control collar) We don't want to hurt you! We're trapped... frightened... Help us?

The Kraken raised a tentacle and pointed at the little bug girl, then at Waya. It could somewhat understand what the girl was projecting into it's mind, but it had no way to speak with her to inform her of that.

"Maribel..." Waya groaned, "Come here please..."

Maribel whimpered and hesitantly stood up. With her hands submissively close to her chest, she took a careful few steps away from Eliza's thumb.

When Maribel moved forward, the Kraken's massive head changed from before Waya to the little bug girl. It tilted its head back and forth as it looked at her. Crooning softly, it reached out with a tendril and gently prodded her with its tip. It wanted to be certain that the girl was alright.

Only now did Maribel start to realize that it wasn't intending to eat her at all...but that it had been protecting her. Forgetting that this thing probably didn't know sign language, she signed 'Friends'. Next, she reached out with a smile to touch it's prodding ...thing.

"Give me a hug Maribel." Waya said, trying to be very calm and trying to maintain the level of concentration she needed to communicate with the Kraken. Were friends, see... Waya told it, reaching out one trembling arm to invite Maribel to hug her.

Maribel nodded and wrapped an arm around Waya's back, sort of in a half hug. All the while, she still had a hand out touching the prodding appendage. Surely the Kraken should understand.

The Kraken's tendril gently wrapped about Maribel's waist as she wrapped Waya in a hug. It crooned softly and gently squeezed the bug girl, then released her. It understood that the pale one was a friend. It projected to Waya an image of Mojo struggling at the bottom of the arena, there was happiness in the image.

Waya smiled at the image and projected in return the image and emotion of slamming Spiral's face into the control console. We want the same thing. she told it. Can you help us?

The Kraken looked down at the water, dipping a tentacle in and bringing it back up before shaking its head. It couldn't live outside of the water, what use it could it be to them?

Waya pointed to the control room. Smash

Turning towards the control room, the Kraken roared and lifted its tentacles from the water fully, extending them out rapidly and slamming them through the windows of the control room, smashing the room to bits

Waya was unable to maintain contact any longer. Between the eight of them it felt like a whip cracking as the connection broke. She slumped forward onto her hands and felt as if she could finally breath again.

Rhydian quickly moved and was at Waya's side when she collapsed. "You ok?" he asked softly as offered her a hand up

"Oof!" Eliza felt it too, since she was the largest connector in the lot of them. Not as bad as Waya, certainly, but it was like the shockwave struck her. "He seems to have got the idea." she groaned, looking at the huge creature smashing at the control box, and wondering if she should go help it.

Jeremy was grinning slightly. Hooray, they'd gotten the big creature to fight for them. Maybe they stood a chance now.

George made his way quickly towards Waya, kneeling on the other side as she fell over, the undamaged hand gently touching her. "Did you hurt yourself?" he asked quickly.

Phinagin winced as the connection broke and he place his hand on his forehead as the pain subsided. Man did he hate all this psychic stuff.

"I'm ok..." Waya said, though she had a hell of a migraine at the moment. It hates Mojo, but it can't escape without water to go into... It doesn't want to hurt anyone."

"Ok, that's great and all." Junior said, now at Maribel's side. "But how do we get out of here? It can't help us with that."
