| History: After conception, his father was killed by the lavabeasts. In an attempt to save her baby, Maelex's mother fled to a patch of wood surrounding a small village. The residents were poor due to the fact that their town lied on the outskirts of the kingdom. Although his mother tried her best to thrive and protect him, she was killed by the villagers by ambushing her den at night. They feared that she would bring the ancient lavabeasts to their already desolate town and destroy it. When the villagers noticed the egg, they thought perhaps it would be an opportunity to gain some wealth by selling it to the king. However, when a villager was selected to transport the egg, it hatched before he arrived. Seeing the baby himmel, he grew sympathetic for the innocent kit. Though he ignored it and delivered the new born to the king. Thankfully, the king was grateful for the gift and repaid the man handsomely for the baby animal. The king had dastardly plans for raising the kit to obey his commands. The village deliverer stayed in the palace for a few weeks, assisting in taking care of the kit. Though his sympathetic only grew. Eventually, he released it late one night into the woods after it was only a month old. The man was later killed for his acts of treason. |
