NAME: Martin Sholvah
ALIAS: Suede
MUTATION (POWERS): Martin’s entire body is composed of a leathery substance. It is brown and black in color, rather than looking like a coating it appears as if it is knitted onto him, like a fine leather jacket of sorts. He is able to stretch his limbs as far as the substance will allow. The knitting will unwind in places, allowing him this stretching capability. The substance is much more dense than leather and, as far as Martin has discovered, incapable of being cut; though it can be snapped with the proper amount of strength. The make-up of his strands protects him from both hot and cold temperatures.
AGE: 16
DESCRIPTION OF BODY (BUILD, HEIGHT, UNIQUE FEATURES, ETC.): Martin is rather muscular in appearance, he is not however the way he appears. The majority of his body mass is made up of the substance of his mutation. Before his powers surfaced, he was a scrawny child of moderate build. He stands at a meager 5’4” and has no hair or fingernails or anything like that. He also has no apparent nose, ears, or lips. His face looks like that of a leather mask.

EYE COLOR: golden yellow, with no irises or pupils
RELATIVES: He has both a Mother, Father, and a younger sister.
ETHNICITY: Italian
HISTORY: Martin’s history is a rather bleak and plain one. His father was United States Navy and was stationed in the Adriatic Sea, along the Italian shoreline. His mother was born and raised in Ancona, Italy. Shortly after they met it was a traditional Italian wedding. He remained stationed there for 2 years, during which their first son was born, Martin. When they returned home to New York, a couple years later Martin’s sister was born. He was raised by a loving family, often playing with his younger sister out at the pond behind the family’s house. He had many friends growing up and was a very happy child, that is until his mutation surfaced. After an incident at school, the X-men known as Nightcrawler and Beast came to the house and explained that there was a better place that Martin could be schooled. His family were very supportive and Martin was sent off to the Xavier Institute.
ANY SERIOUS PHYSICAL OR MENTAL CONDITIONS: minor depression
HOBBIES: Martin enjoys the usual hobbies of a 15 year old boy. His pallet running from playing video games and surfing the internet, to reading books and drawing; though he wouldn’t let anyone see his doodles even if his life depended on it.
PERSONALITY: Martin is a rather lonely individual, his appearance generally frightening off anyone that he would want to make friends with. Which leads him to try and be a quirky prankster who specializes in falling apart at the drop of a hat for laughs, though sometimes it isn't on purpose.
OTHER:
WEAKNESSES: Even though the substance is resistant to hot and cold, it is quite vulnerable to extreme temperatures on both sides of the spectrum.
