2011-05-28 [Fallen Child Athena]: I want one xD
2011-05-28 [Anvikit]: Go for it! They are like little blank canvases you can play with :D
2011-05-29 [Fallen Child Athena]: Dont know how to xD
2011-05-29 [Anvikit]: You can order them from here http://www.kid
Or if you have any vinyl toy stores in your area or Blicks art supplies they carry them there.
Or if you just want to custom a toy you can custom just about anything. I have a LPS up there that I stripped with acetone and repainted.. or I know Rosearts has some little diyfigs that you can find at most targets.. or Muggs which you used to be able to find at walmart are also easy to strip with acetone and customize.. really any toy can be customized, just beware shiney plastics... they need to be primed or else acrylic paint will just scratch easily right off of it..
2011-05-29 [Fallen Child Athena]: I have to save for one. But thank you for the link :D
2011-05-29 [Ghost the Hybrid]: i was thinking, wouldn't you be able to use the paint that is used to paint model plains, ships and warhammer? i don't know if it's the same paint that they use for model ships and plains but the warhammer paint is waterbased i think cause my bro used to mix it with water to get a thinner paint.
2011-05-29 [Anvikit]: I think some model paints are acrylics, though some are enamels.
if it dries to a really glossy finish it's probably enamel more often used on model cars.. (when my husband and I first started painting minifigs, he got enamel paints at first)
Easy way to be sure is just to test it out before you paint your whole thing up. try painting on an accessory or on the bottom of the munnys foot... and just see what happens.
2011-05-29 [Ghost the Hybrid]: the thing is that it's not glossy and i've tried to find out but no one knows but as it is used to paint plastic figures i thought that it might a good use for the munnys too. just a thought nothing else
2011-05-31 [Anvikit]: It's probably acrylic or water based then :)
you can test it out on the bottom of the foot or an accessory first if you still have your doubts.
2011-05-31 [Ghost the Hybrid]: well since i don't have the money to get a munny and don't really know any place that sells them that isn't online it's not likely that i'd ever be able to get one:(
i'll just stick to my amigurumis instead
2011-05-31 [Thrice]: My brother oddly just bought me one last week from Michaels. They were only a few dollars, he said.
2011-05-31 [Thrice]: You, of course, wouldn't be from america. >.> haha... Well I'd check big art supply stores?
2011-05-31 [Anvikit]: I know Blicks art has them in my area, I haven't seen them at Micheals in my area yet.. they are about 10$ for the 4in mini's and 25$ for the Regular 7in Munny.
or as I posted above: if you just want to custom a toy you can custom just about anything.
2011-05-31 [Thrice]: You might be able to look at Michael's online and see. I'll look at what they called it there - the little hippo is in my car still in his case. Hehe.
2011-06-01 [Anvikit]: if it's a munnyworld then it's a Bubs perhaps?
2011-06-01 [Thrice]: Eff. I forgot to look. >.> I'll try to remember next time I go out to my car.
