Newcastle Big Fact

After William Wallace was captured, he was paraded through Newcastle. When he reached London, William Wallace was hung, drawn and quartered, one of his legs was sent to Newcastle, where it hung on a gallow at the Gallow Gate. Where these gallows used to stand, there is now a multistorey car park called Gallow Gate Car Park. Want to visit? Look beind St James' Park...
