I see it everyday.

It lightly annoys me.

I do not dislike people for this reason...
I just think it's too bad, since it could have been done so much better.

New people sign up for Elftown every day. This is not a bad thing! Not a bad thing at all! But what annoys me is their way of thinking.
"Hmmm... [insertnamehere] has already been taken... Oh well, let's make it [insertnamehere_009879879] instead!"
Yes. EVERY day.

If you take your time to watch them go by in the "last logins" section, you'll have one around nearly everytime.
Like now. This time it's [TwiztidYoshi03]. That's not a name. That looks like something I once ate.

I do not mind people who make names out of Several words though. But... You CAN use spaces in your name. So... [green_eyed_girl], isn't exactly... Intelligent.

(In this case, even you this person HAD used spaces, we still don't care about the fact she has green eyes.)

People should name themselves. And I'm not asking anything big here. It's can't possibly be THAT hard to think of a name. An Example... [Limbed]. It is a good name. Okay, he IS a friend, so maybe the example isn't politically correct (Don't ask), but it's true...

It simply can't be this hard... There are over a million names in the world.. Still many people have the most stupid, and outrageous...

2010-04-27 [Alexi Ice]: Some have meaning, you should ask sometimes. I can't even pronounce your name, I don't think, and mine's half Japenese half enlish (because I can't find the Japenese word for Ice...*Sigh*) but it has a meaning.

2010-04-27 [Sinchao]: I'll find the word "Ice" for you, no worries =]

2010-04-27 [Alexi Ice]: Really? Thanks! I've been looking everywhere! (stupid unreliable English/Japenese translator sites) And hey! No worries is my saying!

2010-04-29 [Alexi Ice]: Aisu = Ice. LOL, my other friend found it first. <3 Thanks for the offer, though!

2010-04-30 [Sinchao]: Hmm?
Aisu? That's just how Japanese write down the pronounciation of the english word Aisu for Japanese....
Hmm.

Aisu, Koori, Hi

Those 3 are all valid.

2010-04-30 [Alexi Ice]: Koori. I like that one better
