"Alright" Harry said "What's up?" He asked. The ease of those words made things more uncomfortable for the both of them. The pair followed the trail towards the forest, though they veered away from the trail before they reached that point. Instead they skirted around the edge of the castle and took a seat on the misty quiditch practice field.

"Ginny told me everything" Ron kicked a few nearby rocks.

"I figured as much" Harry said. What would he do if Ron chose to attack him? Could he hit his friend? Was Ron still his friend?

"I don't like it. Any of it." Ron clenched his fists. "She loved you, Harry" He growled the words as if he didn't want to believe them. "She still does"

Harry felt his heart seize up. Ginny still loved him? "It's over, Ron. The pair of us couldn't work. I was hurting her. Especially after everything that had happened. It only got worse"

"That doesn't matter" Ron said "Hurting her or not, you left her alone. After....after it happened she was scared. She used to wake up screaming. Mum doesn't know about it, dad...no one but me and you. I plan on telling Hermione. I'm tired of keeping things from her, Harry."

"Tell her then" Harry said, feeling trapped. How could he make Ron understand? "When Ginny...when she...told me. I would have done anything from her. She ran away from me that day, Ron. My scar had been hurting again and she knew he would be in danger if she kept close to me." Harry let out the breath he had been holding "She sent me a letter, Ron. A letter. Don't you think that hurt? I would have BEEN THERE with her. You didn't have to hold her hand. She shut me out. She still is. I've tried to contact her, I just wanted to talk but she won't answer me. I don't want to approch her. I know how much it hurts. It hurts me, too. He was a part of me, Ron. He always will be." Harry clenched his fists, prepared for Ron's wrath.

Instead, Ron sat down. "I told Hermione I liked her last night" He admitted, lying in the grass. "She didn't say much. Just thought you should know. Things are changing, Harry. So many things. Not always for the best."

Harry nodded, taking in this new information. He always thought things would be easier if Ron and Hermione would just be together and stop fussing about it.

"Next time your at the house I'll take you to his grave. Ginny named him James Harry Potter. She goes out there a lot. We spent a lot of summers just sitting...you know, with him." Harry nodded, a lump of darkness in his throat. "I'll take you" He repeated, as if he didn't know what else to say.

"Thanks, Ron." Harry struggled to say "That would mean a lot to me."

Ron stood up and brushed off his robes. "I want you to fix things with my sister, Harry. No matter what that takes." He placed a hand lightly on Harry's shoulder. "You didn't have anyone like me this summer...but, Hermione and I are here now. So...it'll be ok, I'd bet. Everything, I mean. C'mon. Let's get something to eat."

Harry stood in his place for an extended moment, soaking in this new information. "Yeah..." He said, following Ron towards the castle.
