Age: 26
Gender: Female
Physical Description: Perfectly smooth and soft black hair, usually kept up in decorative hair pins with bangs that come down to mid-cheek (if her hair is down, it would come just below her shoulders). With almond brown eyes with full, peachy lips, Kirito has an exotic yet classic beauty to her. She is of average stature and trim. Extremely flexible. When she is on a mission, she paints her face up in makeup, folds her hair in extravagant ways and wears very exquisite kimonos; but if it is just a normal day, you can catch her in a cotton kimono or yukata, and has even been seen in hakama pants. On her inner right thigh, she has a tatoo: "A dying kiss, venom on my lips" in calligraphy. Shortly after the beginning of the story, she is injured horribly and joins the group.
Personality: She can put on great airs if she so desires, painting a portrait of contentment, but that's only because she's perfected the art of deception. She's not as carefree as she comes off to "clients." When she is just being herself, she's very down to earth and a bit maternal. But unfortunately because she is able to present another persona and create illusions with her calligraphy, she is often times to be thought of someone she is not, which makes her feel lonely at times.
History and Motivation: When she was young, she was brought to the Ninjitsu school of Swirling Ink when she was 8 years old and learned the ways of painted illusion. She specialized in assassination as a Geisha, painting illusions that her "clients" would find intoxicating. She knows Hamayashi, a man high up the political chain, and has a mysterious personal vendetta against him and wants to take him down. She also frequently runs into (Male #1) of an opposing ninjitsu clan.

Character Name and number from list: Haya, #3
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Physical Description: She has shiny black hair kept into braids, then wound into two buns on the side of her head. Loose, it would fall to her lower back, but she doesn't often take it town. Her eyes are a light brown, and when she's angry they become unbecoming slits. Her skin isn't pale; working in the sun a lot has made her skin darker than she'd like. She's short, but no shorter than most women, standing at around 4'11".
Personality: Her general attitude is robust and lively, and thinks herself able to take most physical and verbal blows. She is always striving to be better and will take any challenge that comes her way, whether or not the chances of her survival are slim. She hasn't had many close relationships, so her loyalty is easily given, but trust is not.
History and Motivation: She was apprenticed to a weaver when she was very young, as her hands were quick and her parents were unable to take care of her. She did common chores and often went to go help Hideaki-san, an old man who mysterious origins. She spent so much time there he began to teach her some things regarding throwing kunai and the ways of walking. Haya pestered him into admitting that he had once been a ninja, and is now a nukenin (rogue ninja), and he began to teach her a few of the secrets. A few years later, when Haya was beginning to learn weaving and had mastered the basics, Hideaki-san passed away in his sleep (leaving her his ancient-lookin
g, but still decent, set of kunai and a rather beaten-up sword). Haya quickly left the village with what money she had saved up and went to find and join a ninja clan, as the pull of what she had learned would not allow her to be content as a weaver. However, she is learning that her world is not so small, and that great changes are afoot. Haya is uneasy at the breakdown of the class system and the declining economy, causing riots everywhere. Full-fledged ninja are being recruited for more assassinations than ever, usually political and corrupt. Her world is becoming more dangerous by the minute.
Origin: Born in the village of Kento, now living in the larger city Moshikuri, closer to the center of trade.
Weapon of Choice (or element, if applicable): Her hand-eye coordination is excellent, but her strength is less than most male opponents, so she favors the kunai to attack from a distance.
Other:She knows some weaving and how to behave as a woman must, and has been saving up money.

Character Name and number from list: Mariko (character #4)
Age: 15, almost 16
Gender: Female
Physical Description: Young, open face with wide, black eyes and plain, but pretty features. Short with a slim, barely curvey figure and thick, dark brown hair (usually messily arranged) that, when let down, is wavy and falls to the small of her back. Wears colorful, but cheap and ill-fitting kimonos that her father buys. People often mistake her for being much younger than she is.
Personality: Clumsy but curious, Mariko tends to snoop, and usually gets caught, or gets dangerously close to getting caught. Her clumsy nature and submissive family life causes her to be overly apologetic, instantly assuming that incidents are the results of her own clumsiness. Despite this, she knows how to take a hit, and even give one back... immediatly followed by a rapid, "I'msorryI'msorryI'msorry, I'm so, so SORRY!"
History and Motivation: When Mariko was born, her father was ecstatic at the concept of another son, and ordered that the child be handed to him once it was born. Once he saw, not a boy, but a newborn girl, he threw a wild fit, sending the infant flying across the room. Luckily the grandmother caught Mariko before she hit the ground. That set the tone for Mariko's family life. Her father constantly ignored or chastised her for imaginary sins, secluding her from her brother as he did so. This left Mariko spending her life in the kitchen with her silent mother and her exhubrint, but forgetful, grandmother. Her father is a low-ranking and unaccomplished samurai who attempts to make up for his short comings by bullying his family and underlings. But, as Mariko's grandmother says, "Even a small fan can make some wind." Because of Mariko's approaching 16th birthday, her father has begun looking for men to sell her to, the majority of which being rather... unsavory or downright disgusting.
Origin: (Does not have to be a real village) Due to the changing times, Mariko's family is constantly moving. That, combined with her father's disinterest, her grandmother's failing memory, and her brother having been to young at the time to remember, makes her birth place unknown.
Weapon of Choice (or element, if applicable): Because of her clumsiness and lack of training, Mariko mostly just uses whatevers at hand... but you probably don't want to sneak up on her when she's chopping sushi. When Mariko left home her grandmother gave her a hair pin with a blade at the end and three bottles of sake with a solution that knocks people out in them.
Other: Mariko is determined to not be sold and joins the group rather reluctantly because she wants to be independent of her father and brother and she almost decides not to join because her brother has.
