I thought including Puck for an idea would prove interesting...

Nami blushed profusely when Anka and Lulu dragged her through the prom and bridal store. "I already have my dress," Anka assured them.

"And you didn't include me in the picking?" Lulu frowned.

"Nagi helped me," Anka shrugged.

"N-Nagi did?"

"Yeah, and thus why he asked you to prom and why you're going as his date," Anka said as she started sorting through a rack.

"I like the classic gowns," Anka said as she pulled a shiny blue gown from the rack.

"Why don't you go in this and get it over with?" Lulu asked as she held up a wedding dress.

"Lu!" Nami covered her face with her hands.

"Hey, ease up on the teasing. You'll break Nagi's heart if you talk Nami out of going," Anka said firmly.

Lulu shrugged, putting the dress back. "So she finally gets the boy of her dreams. Why is she so nervous about picking out a dress?"

"I'm nervous because I like him and I want him to think I'm pretty, not sleazy or overly dressed..." Nami admitted as she stared down at her feet.

"If you're worried about the cost I'll buy it," Lulu said assuringly.

Nami half smiled, "Thanks but that's not it."

"Do you want to talk about it?" Anka asked.

"I already said it..."

Lulu smiled as she received a txt message. "Nagi said you look best in darker colors."

"No he didn't..." Nami argued.

Lulu held up the message for Nami and Anka to read, "See?"

"I guess he did," Anka shrugged. "So, now do you know what you're looking for?"

"Now that I know wedding gowns are out," Nami said dryly as she searched through the rack.

Nagi stared down at what had to have been the thirtieth question Lulu asked him in ten minutes about Nami's appearance. "My luck, Nami's reading all of these..." he said with a sigh. Immediately after reading the last of the message he replied again, returning his attention to the television.

"Wow, Nami..." Lulu whistled. "You have the perfect prom date."

"Why now?" Nami asked.

Anka stared blankly at Lulu. "What did you do?" Anka pressed.

"Whatever she's comfortable in, and if you aren't already reading them aloud to her, tell her she looks good no matter what she wears and that I promise to match it," Lulu said slowly.

"What does he mean by 'reading them aloud'? Them as in more than that one message?" Nami asked.

"I think Lulu's been sending him your every concern," Anka deducted.

"I asked him things like what color you look best in, if he'd prefer shiny or glossy, a longer or shorter skirt, how he feels about lace, how does he feel about heels, how your hair would look up, if you'd need jewelery to pull it off...you know...the usual."

"I think I was more mortified before I knew this," Nami said as she collapsed in a chair beside the dressing room.

"See? He likes you..." Anka offered.

"A lot," Lulu added. She opened her phone, pressing it against her cheek, "Hello?"

"I'm bored where are you?" Nagi muttered.

"In a bridal and prom store," Lulu answered.

"Same one Anka took me to?" Nagi asked.

"Anka is this the same store you and Nagi were in?" Lulu asked, getting a nod. "Yup. See you in a few," she said before hanging up.

"What just happened?" Nami asked.

"Nagi's coming down," Lulu responded with a grin.

"Okay, I'm leaving," Nami said as she stood.

"Hey, if you think he's coming down to see Lulu you're wrong," Anka said as she grabbed Nami's arm.

"I can't pick out a dress without him here, let alone with him here..." Nami grumbled. "Why don't we have a gay guy friend?"

"Because nobody's come out of the closet yet," Lulu said with a shrug.

"Why would we need one of them?" Anka asked.

"Well, they'll always pick something perfect out for us and give us the honest truth no matter what we want to hear," Nami said simply.

"True...so true..." Lulu agreed.

"Well, stay, see what he has to say and if you're tired of shopping I'll suggest lunch," Anka offered.

"Fine," Nami sighed. "How'd you convince him to ask me to prom, exactly?"

"I told him that you're not leaving me alone at prom as part of the photo crew," Anka said with a shrug, "So he promised to ask you and then he did."

"I'm just a date because couples tickets are cheaper..."

"If that was the truth he'd have asked me or Chloe," Lulu winked at Nami, "Do you not know how much easier it is to ask out somebody you're not attracted to?"

"Wouldn't know," Nami replied.

"Lu has a point," Anka admitted, "He asked you because he wants to go with you."

"Let's drop it before he overhears some of it..." Nami said firmly as she sat again.

A few minutes later, Nagi walked into the store, making a beeline for his friends. "How's dress hunting?" he asked calmly.

"Not too well for either of us," Lulu murmured.

"Show us," Anka pleaded with Nami.

"No, it's not good," Nami argued from the other side of the curtain. Anka rolled her eyes, barging behind Nami's curtain.

"What are you talking about? That's cute..." Anka reasoned.

"Because I'm here, right?" Nagi guessed.

Lulu shrugged, "She hasn't shown us one thing unless we were in there with her."

"Why haven't you gotten anything yet?" Nagi inquired.

"Biding time until you got here," Lulu winked.

Blushing, Nagi rolled his eyes. "I see."

"Well she is who you came to see, right?" Lulu whispered.

"I came down because I was bored," Nagi argued.

"She's drowning...go save her," Lulu said as she shoved Nagi toward Nami's dressing room.

"Nami?" he called.

"She's decent, Nagi," Anka assured him.

Nagi stepped behind Nami's curtain. He took one look at her and shook his head in disbelief. "Uh...wow..."

"Told you so," Anka said firmly. "Now I'm going to go help out Lulu," she said as she left the pair alone.

"You like it?"

"I do," Nagi answered calmly. "You look...just..." he looked her up and down, "I can't even..."

"It's okay," Nami interrupted him, "thanks..."

"You're welcome..."

"I'm gonna get dressed again..." Nami said anxiously.

"Alright," Nagi took one more look at her before forcing himself to leave her dressing room.

"Blue mermaid tail for the win," Lulu said as she spun around in a blue dress that was glittering in the light.

"Very nice," Anka approved.

"Oh, how'd it go in there, stud?" Lulu asked.

"Mhm..." Nagi nodded once as he slipped his hands into his pockets.

"You can txt it," Anka whispered. Nagi pulled out his cellphone and quickly explained why he was speechless, sending it to Lulu and Anka. Both girls stared down at the message: Nobody ever tells you that your crush looks incredible no matter what.

"This one is getting read aloud..." Lulu declared.

"No, no it isn't," Nagi argued as he grabbed Lulu's phone, quickly deleting the message.

"Awe..." Lulu frowned as she stared down at her phone.

"Not worried about me?" Anka asked.

Nagi shook his head, "You'll hold that over me for something eventually."

"Hey, are you...about done Lulu?" Nami asked as she appeared, dress in hand.

"I've decided on this," Lulu said as she stepped back into her dressing room.

"So lunch sounding good?" Anka asked as she glanced back and forth between Nami and Nagi.

"Yeah," Nami replied.

"Do you have shoes to go with the dress?" Anka asked.

"Uh...no..." Nami said sheepishly.

"That's just more shopping!" Lulu said as she appeared again, fully dressed. "We can go to this fabulous store! Nagi, you can buy some shoes there, too!"

"Right," Nagi replied.

"Let's go get rung up and then continue our shopping spree!" Lulu said as she dragged Nami to the checkout counter.

"Looking forward to seeing her in that dress again?" Anka asked.

"Yes," Nagi replied quickly.

"On to shoe shopping!" Lulu declared, dragging Nami with her, Nami grabbing Nagi and Anka in passing.

"So, what color is your dress, Anka?" Lulu asked eagerly.

"Well... It's blue and ties up in the back like a corset?" Anka muttered briefly.

"Like that tells me anything..." Lulu scoffed, "Get it and try it on, I want to see!~"

Puck peered above the punch bowl. He grinned mischievously as he watched the punch get scooped into a ladle and poured into a small cup. When nobody was in sight, Puck pulled out a tiny pouch filled with love dust. Eagerly, the young fae poured the love powder into the punch.

"You okay?" Nagi inquired.

Nami sighed, "Yeah, aside from being at prom."

"Here," he grabbed a larger cup, pouring as much that would fit into the cup, sipping at it before passing it over to Nami.

"Thanks," Nami smiled weakly, taking a sip of the punch.

"I promise to never drag you to this again," Nagi said sincerely. "I just didn't want to leave Anka alone..."

"And the couples ticket is cheaper," Nami cut in.

"That has nothing to do with it, actually," Nagi admitted, his cheeks flushing red.

"Thanks again," Anka murmured.

"No problem," Lulu replied, "Besides, the couples tickets were cheaper. Though I can't believe they messed up your order and gave you a couples ticket instead."

"Yeah, me either," Anka sighed at the little white lie she told her friends to keep from telling them the whole truth. "Wanna get some punch?"

"Sure. Maybe somebody already spiked it?" Lulu crossed her fingers as she looped arms with Anka.

"If we're lucky," Anka agreed.

2010-11-24 [wicked fae mage]: Hmm...promity prom prom

2010-11-25 [Ravendust]: trying to get us back into finishing these? xD

2010-11-25 [wicked fae mage]: Yeah, I need a project. Not being in school is killing me ><

2010-11-25 [Ravendust]: ah, boredom?

2010-11-25 [wicked fae mage]: Yes, very bad boredom. Like worse than when we would power clean boredom. Like I'd walk into strangers' houses and power clean them and cook them dinner for some entertainment...

2010-11-25 [Ravendust]: xD yikes, that sucks...

2010-11-25 [wicked fae mage]: Yeah, I'm moderating a competition and awaiting to read some poems during my times moding, too :3

But I'm saving some school work to do tomorrow night.

2010-11-25 [Ravendust]: modding what competition?

2010-11-25 [wicked fae mage]: Christmas poetry

2010-11-25 [Ravendust]: thats neat, part of your council (still training?) duties?

2010-11-27 [wicked fae mage]: Yes, still training and yes, I'll be moderating a bit.

2010-11-27 [Ravendust]: nice, I sure as hell wish I'd get accepted into the crew, I don't know what else to do about it to convince them that I can be an integral and participative member...

2010-11-27 [wicked fae mage]: I don't really even know what set me apart on the app page :/

2010-12-20 [Ravendust]: I don't know what sets anyone apart really, though I can understand with some^^;;

2010-12-20 [wicked fae mage]: Certainly the people who participate in competitions and who nominate art and wikis are more noticeable than those who just role-play

2010-12-21 [Ravendust]: indeed *nods*

2010-12-21 [wicked fae mage]: I'd have to say that that would probably be an advantage of we daily poets, painters etc

2010-12-21 [Ravendust]: probably *nods*

2010-12-21 [wicked fae mage]: Plus our Heralding. We're fairly up-to-date with submitting or submitting every now and again must look nice...

2010-12-27 [Ravendust]: I'd assume so, speaking of, wonder when the next issue of the herald actually comes out...

2010-12-27 [wicked fae mage]: Not sure. I'm sure the holidays set everybody back a bit though.
