"Good, that should be enough soldiers, some forty-two thousand."
-We hope- added Erador to Erindor's comment. Erindor helped Malias out of the saddle, "Lord Malias, we'll be gone for a short while to our chambers to dress oursevles for war." Once Malias was on the ground, Erindor sprung up the side of the saddle. "If you have no objections, Erador and I would like to command three of the six corps, you would command the remaining three. twenty-one thousand soldiers each, agreeable my Lord?" Erador added his thoughts before Malias could answer,
-We'll meet you within half of the hour at the fort's courtyard with Illatrius to discuss battle tactics.- With that, the immense emerald dragon took to the skies above the city, flying towards a tower in the city.
Drazon stiffened,"...
Amrevar...is with this army."
"Then...what do I sense?" Illatrius said, becoming quite confused at the thought of another evil being nigh.
Drazon looked at her,"...It is him you are sensing...but he is not what he once was, he told me that he migh change into the shadow dragon...the fallen angel."
"Who knows...we might not even recognize him..." Illatrius replied as she flapped her wings and drifted down towards the ground; Sar'dan's streets lied below them.
Malias only nodded in agreement before he watched them sour off into the skies; he stepped back and turned for the city's barracks. His head hung low in a small amount of grief, remembering his brother's grim past. He looked up at his Elven soldiers whom headed away from the armory. Malias directed them towards the great, white city walls. Then a great number of archers left for the wallwalk.
Drazon landed next to Malias,"...Amrevar is with this army...i dont know where yet."
"What!?" Malias said as he turned his head to Drazon in amazement. "How can that be... He never fights his battles...He lets his servants do his bidding..."
Amrevar darkly laughed behind his lips as he stood within the dark shadows of the forest right outside of the city walls. "...Arlas Ni' Agarsenas..." A thick mist slowly covered the ground in a thick cloud of fog; Amrevar and his armies could scarcely be seen in the mists as the shadows hid them. "Do not harm Theria...kill everything else... Be merciless..."
"Yes, Dark One," the Hert'zar replied quickly. He readied his battle axe as a puff of hot air left his nostrils.
"...Zavellar Hothrectias..." Amrevar used little of his magic to alter his voice. "Call me Za'nix upon the battlefield and nothing else..." The creatures were stunned when they heard his voice. Amrevar motioned his Fell to the wall. "Move like shadows...and make it swift." Before Sar'dan's archers got to the wall, the Fell stretched their arms up to the defending wall's ledges and pulled themselves up to where the archers were supposed to be positioned. They killed the five soldiers that gaurded the gate; the shadow creatures opened the gate as they were being shot at by the archers below. Few were hit and vanished like black, wind-blown smoke. The Dark Lord's army entered through the gates like scrambling beasts desperate for a kill. Amrevar stayed back, allowing his beats to go forth.
"Hold them back!" Malias shouted to his soldiers. "That mist...its Amrevar's work...he is here... This isn't good..." Malias sent in his men when he noticed the Hert'zar. "Where is he..." Malias cut through one of the creatures' skulls and planted his sword in another's neck; black blood stained his clothes.
Amrevar at last entered through the gate as the battle continued to rage; he was like a phantom in the mist as he slowly stepped forth. Malias could barely recognize him.
After a few blows to a creature's head, Malias looked towards Amrevar's direction when all seemed clear around him. "That couldn't be... He looks nothing like my brother...That mask...That's..!" Malias was interfered when he had to block an attack of a Hert'zar. He sliced of its head and growled. "The Hert'zar are giving him an advantage...Focus on the Hert'zar! Defend the city! Don't let them get near the castle!"
Drazon confronted his former rider,"Amrevar"
A roar shattered over the cry of battle, steel on steel wailing with blood and the anguished yells of men and monster alike. Light suddenly sprang over the city, over the battle leaving streaks on the vision to anyone who looked upon the source for mere second. The white light hit the streets in front of maingate, perhaps twenty yards from the flooding armies. Its intense glow reduced around a muscluar emerald dragon's body shod in a mirror like titanium armour with dynamic flexible plates all over the large dragon's body. Erador reared on his hind legs, wings clasped at his sides and let out a growling roar, the back of his mouth glowing with some kind of raging tempest. Seconds later, a modestly large patch of Amrevar's army was incinerated in the gates in a wide jet of blue white flame.
Erindor appeared a few yards from Malias, his sword, Valourne, allready glinting with the black blood from the Hert'zar. His form moved as the shadows did, ceaslessly flowing, hewing with a vicious intensity that mirrored the certain glowing property around him. He carved his way through a dozen Hert'zar mercilessly, with the same intensity that they delt Malias's army. Through the insane carnage, and Amrevar's monster army still flooding through the gates, Erindor caught a glimpse of Amrevar himself. His attention snapped back to a group of vile monsters that surrounded Malias, and broke through easily, a parry to the left and right sending a Hert'zar flying into two or three others. "Malias! do you have orders for Erador and I besides this wanton carnage?!" he growled over the battle's greusome sounds of death whilst drawing his flamberge in his left hand, aiding in hewing a few more of these vile monsters. Sending their black souls down to the depths of hell.
"I will deal with the enemy leader! Focus on the Hert'zar, Erindor! They are the Dark Lord's strongest! The Fell shall do little to us!" Malias shouted to Erindor.
Amrevar ignored Drazon for the sake of his own identity. "I will cut off your head and feed it to the crows!" Amrevar shouted as he walked. "I'll make sure of it myself, worm..."
"No...it isn't him...It can't be...he's younger in voice..." Malias thought and growled. "Who are you!?"
"My name...is Za'nix...Amrevar was here, but he left...I lead his armies...Who are you to ask of me?" Amrevar replied.
"I am Malias....ah!" Malias yelled as he manuevered his sword into a beast's forehead. "...Lord of Sar'dan!"
"I will kill you!" Amrevar yelled as he stabbed a foe and tossed his body to the side with magic.
"Just try it!" Malias growled while he watched his enemy continue to walk fowards. The Dark One swung his sword to opposite sides, his axe to the other, killing as he went without looking at his victims in the eye. His sinister gaze was fixed on Malias and Malias alone; his eye didn't even stray. Niether did his steps.
"I am quite surprised that my master would not despose of you for himself. You must not have been...worthy of his presence, worm," Amrevar said slyly. "I have been sent to do his work."
"an assassin!?" Malias growled angrily.
"Indeed, your lordship." Amrevar laughed behind his lips. "Are you prepared to fall?"
"You underestimate me..." Malias sais sternly.
"Do I now..?" Amrevar laughed evily. "Tell me...Why did you ever spare my master's life? He...wished for me to ask you of this...pestilence."
Malias didn't have time to answer. He was far too busy fighting the Fell and Hert'zar. He heard Amrevar's Shadow Dragons roar in rage above them; they dove in to attack the Elves, carrying a few and droppong them from the sky that almost brought daylight.
Illatrius flew in and snapped at the beasts. She dropped the creatures from the sky, but discontinued when she noticed the Shadow Dragons; she persuted them instead, raoring in anger. "Drazon, don't waist your words with him...He's not going to acknowledge you."
"Answer me, worm!" Amrevar shouted bitterly.
"I would rather reply to the Dark Lord himself!" Malias yelled furiously when he cleaved a beast in two. Bits of blood was splashed at his face, staining sections of his blonde hair.
Amrevar placed away his axe and ignited his right hand in a black flame. "Ska'lar Ni Ge'r!" With that, the flame grew emmense and more powerful, powerful enough shatter stone into thousand of petite pieces. It was so intense that the mist around it was blown away at ignition and lit up the entire right side of Amrevar's body. His hair was fiercely blown from the force of the flame. The Dark Lord's eye dimmed behind the grim face of the purple mask; that eye persevered to glow a bright red of wrath. He threw his arm to the side causing a black ball of flame to his one of Malias's soldiers. The Elf's body suddenly exploded with a great amount of blue light and blood rained down from the sky. The Elf's torn head rolled to a stop before the Dark One. Amrevar threw his right foot ontop of it causing it to shatter as crimson blood splashed to the sides ans stained the ground. His hand suddenly became ignited in the harsh flame once more. He felt his energy being slowly drained from his body.
Malias's eyes glittered with fear. "What is this!?" He stepped back only to end up stepping into a pool of blood. "Ugh!" He lifted his foot and came to the side. "What are you!?"
Amrevar spread his legs apart and bent back his arm. "A nightmare...you better hope I miss...or you will share the same fate."
Drazon growled,"Amrevar!" but did not move to fight him.
"Drazon!? What are you doing here!? Err...." Amrevar thought to Drazon. He sheathed his sword. "Ska'lar Ni Ge'r!" Now, his left hand began to glow with the same black flame.
Drazon glared at him, you would endanger Theria? by killing him...She will have no chance of survival..."
"I know!" Amrevar growled. He continuously threw the black fireballs at Malias.
"Clen A'ra'!" Malias shouted firmly and a bright vail of light appeared and blocked the attack. The fireballs kept coming and Malias was having trouble keeping the attack from touching him. His energy was becoming easily drained.
Drazon growled, but did not interfere because this was Malias's fight.
"Drazon! Leave me and fight the side which you are most loyal to!" Amrevar said as he drew his sword when he ceased the attacks. He dashed fowards, about to bring his sword down upon the elf. Malias parried it and their battle continued to rage. Amrevar growled when he felt like this was taking forevor to complete.
Drazon glared,"You sent me away...i am loyal only to my mate."
"Then go aid her! Look up!" Amrevar replied coldly. Amrevar shoved Malias into the wall of the castle. "Ska'lar Re's!" The dark lord's arm became like a shadow form of a sword and stretched forward. It pierced into Malias's body, keeping it firmly there. Blood stained the clothes around the wound. "Draskaris Clensa'!" Black lightning sparked from his shadow arm and moved up towards Malias's wound. The Elf could barely move due to the pain that kept him in still reverie. Malias felt the electricity go through him with splitting pain; he screamed as it agonized him. He tried to stop it, but it was too painful. Amrevar ceased it. He brought back his arm and it became as normal. He felt so much energy leave his body, it made him feeling slightly weak. Malias passed out and fell to the side, his back against the wall. Amrevar ran forwards again as he held his sword out to the side; he was about to end it.
Drazon snarled and caught Amrevar's sword in his jaws, snapping it in two,"ENOUGH!" he roared into every mind in 50 miles.
"Err!! Fine!" Amrevar scoffed as he stepped back. He drew his axe while he glared into Drazon's eyes. He turned to the gate and met with the lead Hert'zar. "How are things?"
Illatrius heard Drazon and flew down to his side. "What happened!?" she gasped then she saw Malias's wounded body and a tear streamed down her face as she felt his weakness and pain. "Malias! No!" She came to his side and nuzzled him.
Drazon glared at Amrevar,"You have changed little one, i almost dont know you anymore...but deep inside your still the scared little man that touched my egg...all that time ago."
Amrevar growled in all his anger when he heard that. "I would have killed you, Drazon, if I had the heart! You are fortunate!" Amrevar took off his mask and tossed it aside revealing his scarred eye.
"Everything is going as planned my lord," the Hert'zar replied.
"Good," Amrevar replied bitterly. "I am leaving. If you live...bring me the results," the dark lord continued in his normal voice.
