"Dark souled coward," growled a voice, standing singuarly and alone, facing Amrevar. The figure was shod in ebony war leather, his greatsword bathed in the enemy's black blood. A moment later and the very streets shook when a roar slammed into them behind the figure. Blinding white light splayed once again as it did before, its intensity could be felt as heat. Slanted emerald green eyes appeared through the white glow from some thirty feet above the street. "So we meet...again, what a fickle thing fate is, Amrevar," said the black clad figure, raising his head and looking eye to eye with the dark lord. Glowing green eyes identical to the ones looming above bored into the evil advisary.
"Thrysta vindr jierda Hert'zar garjzla!" the Hert'zar surrounding Amrevar were tossed through the air after a shockwave radiated through the air admist blazing emerald green magic. The magic left the dark lord, this lone rider and his dragon in a twenty yard radius of a clear arena. "I don't suppose your wise enough to call off this dagshelgr. However, you might benefit more from doing so now instead of sealing your mistake."
-skölir nosu fra zar'roc- the rider thought, envoking protective wards around him and his dragon. A tendril of fatigue nagged somewhere, but it nothing more than an insect beneath a dragon's paw however.
"Who are you!?" Amrevar growled angrily as his true sword appeared within his grasp. He became filled with absolute anger. His mind left what he was planning to do and looked to his enemy with a dark glare. His eye became a rose white and the shadows around him raged fiercely in wrath.
"Du Súndavar Freohr!" the rider roared, consequentiall
y, the shadows were chased away with the light radiating from the dragon. "Who am I? I'm dissapointed in you Amrevar, surely you would have recognized one of the remaining riders against you. But nevermind that, I'm a messenger from wyrda, fate...sent, for you!" With a blurr of fury, the street cracked and glowed red where the rider's boots touched it as he whirled towards Amrevar, drawing both massive swords through the air in a fine web of deadly titanium.
"ERRRR!!!" Amrevar growled as he covered his eye from the blinding light. He knew that he was drained of most of his energy during the battle with Malias and it only made him feel weak. He knew he couldn't fight back this enemy with a loss of power. He continued to growl until something hit his mind. "En Drascarisni'v ni' Sarlayis!" He used the last of his strength to vanish in a thick black mist.
"Drazon, my master is ill and he needs to be tended by Erindor and Erador. We must find them!" Illatrius said quickly. "I will kill Amrevar for what he has done! And his body will be feed among ravens!" Illatrius roared. "Ugh... Ar'rias has hatched!"
Malias woke up from unconsciousness and severely coughed due to the fatal injury within him. He heard Illatrius's voice and tried to get up. "Illatrius..."
"Malias!" Illatrius shouted. "Stay still...you're hurt..."
A roar trumpeted with sheer anger. Its deep, haunting vibrations shattering the sky. The roar belonged solely to that dragon whom glowed intensely with white light. The brilliant light around the dragon dimmed, revealing an immense, well-muscled emerald dragon clad in polished titanium armour. His rider stood between his front legs. “Bloody black hearted coward,” scorned the Rider sheathing his swords and sprinting towards the injured Malias. Dropping to one knee he bent over the fallen Lord of Sar’dan. “Lord Malias, it is I, Erindor. Erador is here as well…oh some god in heaven.” His eyes filled with worry when seeing the extent of Malias’ wounds. “Malias…” -Erador, we need to get him to the healers at the castle, now.
Drazon cast his mind out and realised the hatchling was a starlight dragon,",Illatrius! get theria to the cave now! i'll go ahead!" and drazon flew off to see the hatchling.
Amrevar appeared in the cavern where Illatrius's eggs lay. He stood over them and gazed down at the dark blue one and the silverish white one. Theria gasped when she saw him, his face was unrecognizable, but Enrias knew exactly who he was.
"Get away from the eggs!" Enrias yelled angrily as Amrevar picked up the white egg. Without saying a word, the Dark Lord slowly walked towards his daughter's direction and handed her the egg. He muttered a few words and the egg began to make noises; Theria began to grow frightened as she heard the squeaks that came from the young dragon within. Amrevar continued to glare down at the egg, but his thoughts were calm and his mind was free of emotional upset. He was almost inhuman. The egg cracked open as the young dragon tried its best to escape from the egg. Theria laid the egg down upon the floor when she saw a white dragon head peer out. She was almost in shock.
Enrias kept his mind off the dragon and didn't take his eye off of the silent Dark Lord, but when the dragon hatched, he turned his gaze onto the young dragon with a stunned look. The dragon squeaked when it saw Theria and the girl thought she had seen it smile.
"It's a baby dragon!" she gasped as she covered her mouth with her hands. "I..."
"Don't be afraid," Amrevar said sternly. "Touch it..."
Theria swallowed hard. She wasn't sure if she was to trust the stranger, but she knew that she had always wanted to pet a hatchling. She kneeled down and reached out for the small creature; she jerked when the dragon moved back in a small fear of her. The dragon moved forward, allowing Theria to pet it. Theria touched it, but in a flash of light she felt a horrible pain that went up through her arm and she screamed.
Amrevar stepped back with a dark grin. "My work is done..."
"What did you do to her!?" Enrias demanded as he readied his sword.
"Nothing of your concern..." Amrevar replied as he watched his daughter pass out. The dragon curled up by her side.
"What did you do to her!?" Enrias yelled again, raising his voice even more in sheer anger. He ran forward to strike, but Amrevar quickly caught the young boy's arm.
"You will understand when you first make contact with your dragon, Enrias..." Amrevar replied coldly. He threw Enrias into the cave's side wall and looked back to his unconscious daughter. "You will serve Malias well..." He turned his head towards Enrias and gave a sinister grin again while the boy tried to get up. "You are fortunate that you survived the slaughter of your family..." Amrevar laughed sinisterly. "Be warned... I still seek for your death... I am waiting for the day when you become a Dragon Rider...It should be an interesting battle..."
Enrias growled bitterly in reply. "I will avenge my family!"
"Good...That's what I expect from someone like you," Amrevar said as he returned his gaze to his daughter. He kneeled down and took her hand as he turned it over. He saw the dragon mark on her palm; he stood up and made his way towards the cave entrance.
"I will kill you!" Enrias screamed.
"Just try it... When the day comes, you shall already be dead... I have no time for you... En Draskarisni'v ni' Sarlayis!" Amrevar said. Then he vanished into the shadows.
"What is he... No one can truly define him...gah... I will have my revenge!" Enrias growled. He ran to Theria's side and came to his knees; he began to shake her, trying to get her to wake up. "Theria! Wake up!"
Theria's eyes opened and she blinked when she saw Enrias. "What happened?" Then she looked at the dragon and smiled. "I'm a Dragon Rider!" She shouted happily when she quickly got up. She jumped in her sheer joy. "Yay!"
"Ugh..." Enrias muttered but then smiled. "Great job, Theria!"
"Thanks!" Theria thanked blissfully. Then Theria halted and looked around with a confused look. "Where did that stranger go?"
"Er...He left thankfully," Enrias replied.
"Aw...why?"
"I don't know." Enrias grumbled. "The stranger was your dad."
"Huh!?" Theria could barely believe it.
"Didn't you just hear me?" Enrias growled.
"Yes...I did but..." The young girl fell silent in thought and sighed deeply.
Drazon appeared and looked closly at theria and then the little dragon,"...Theria has it spoken to you yet?"
Theria shook her head. "I think it's too little yet."
Illatrius entered the cave and looked curiously at her son. Then she smiled. "Congradulations, Theria. Ar'rias has hatched for you."
"Thank you...male?" Theria replied as she blinked.
"Yes, young one...but...how could it have hatched so early?" Illatrius wondered.
"Someone came and handed me the egg. He said soem strange words and it...started to hatch," Theria answered.
Drazon roared his anger,"AMREVAR! FOR DEFILING THE EGGS YOU SHALL DIE!"
"What!? ERR! "Illatrius said angrily, but then she knew she had to calm herself. "Drazon, I have to return to my master's side. I'll return to you after Malias is in good hands." She flapped her powerful wings and flew off out of the cavern. She made her way towards the battle and laid down next to Malias, fighting off any of Amrevar's beasts that tried to get at the wounded Elven Lord. "Malias, rest..." Illatrius looked around in search of Erindor and Erador, but became despaired when she could not find them withing the harsh battle. "Erador! Erindor! Help!" she cried as she continued to search with her eyes.
Amrevar reappeared within the walls of his castle and the purple jewel appeared in his right hand. He gazed at it with wonder. "It's making me stronger... I can feel it returning the strength I lost at the battle... this jewel is strange..." the dark lord said calmly. The jewel vanished when he looked away from it. His eyes turned to the area of the throne room where it suddenly became a swirling black. There in the midst was his father. Amrevar growled. "What are you doing here?"
"I've come to see how you have been using the gem..." he replied bitterly.
"Much more elite compared to what you used it for," Amrevar said angrily.
Dravescar growled. "I've decided to stay here for a small bit of time...to watch you..."
"I do not need you to watch my every step... I am not a child... I wish I could have been able to kill you when I obtained the jewel..."
" I am sure you would have...The jewel has changed you much..." Dravescar laughed. "Someone is coming to find you..."
"Indeed...Malias then?"
"No... You shall see... This is all I have to say...I claim one of the rooms on the second level...I shall meet you later in time..." Dravescar replied. " En Draskarisni'v ni' Sarlayis!" Dravescar vanished into the shadows.
When Amrevar went to turn, a sharp pain raced through his body. He laid a hand on his side and when he lifted it, his face went stern when he saw fresh blood staining his gloves. "Malias wounded me... How did I not feel it?" The Dark Lord leaned back on the wall and went through the memories of what had transpired in Sar'dan. He growled. "What was I thinking!? Er..." His anger faded. "I hope I didn't kill him... I went too far...Ugh..." Images of Malias falling into unconscious began to bother him. "GAH!!!!" He used magic to heal the wound and closed his eye. Then he walked over to close the castle doors.
