"Rand"

The word “Rand”, which is Dutch, translates into the English “Edge”. The word “Edge can be used in many different variables, but the one which stands out the most is the emotion-related version: “On the edge” – Meaning that the person who is “On the edge” is very close to losing something that holds the mind.
It can differ from aggression to depression. Being “on the edge” because of aggression means that whenever the person “falls off the edge”, he/she will go into a burst of rage and anger, resulting in attacking random people, or the destruction of innocent object that do not hinder anyone.
Another version of being “on the edge” can be because of situations in life. They can be very stressful, or very sad and depressing. In this scenario, being “on the edge” often refers to falling into depression, or simply be completely worn out, and unable to perform your job well enough on daily basis.
In Dutch, the word “Rand” can also be replaced by the word “Klif”. The resemblance shows us what it means, as it translates into the English word “Cliff”, which happens to be pronounced the exact same way. As well all know, a “cliff” is steep end of a mountain, or the steep edge (notice the return of the word “Edge”) of a coast.
