Personality:

A Medic above all else. As long as it's not a bug, Roland is likely to do his best to keep them alive. He is loyal, honest, and a bit religious (but not pushy).

Weapons:

An FN five seven- 5.7mm pistol. One eight-inch fixed blade combat knife. Roland is a living weapon having reached purple belt in Ju-Jitsu, and red belt in Taekwondo.

Appearance:

A massive mountain of a man, Roland stands just over six feet seven inches.

History:

Roland spent much of his life fighting. Both of his parents are black belts in Ju-Jitsu, and Taekwondo. The two met while they were both on their way up the ranks of their own fighting style; it only made sense after they were married to open their own Dojo. The two cross-trained, and when Roland came of age at about four, he was on the mats with his sister. He earned the rank of black belt in both arts by the age of twelve.

When he was a freshman in high school, Roland remembered the towers coming down. He knew he wanted to serve and get revenge after that. He graduated in 2005 but he didn't go to Iraq. Instead, Roland graduated top of his class in medic school at Fort Sam-Houston. He was sent to air assault school where he had to learn to repel from helicopters. It was the middle of 2006 when Roland was finally sent to his unit. He was attached to the 75th Rangers out of Fort Benning, Georgia. Roland served and deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan before leaving the army and heading home in early 2012.

When he arrived back home, he quickly got a job as an EMT, having had a lot of practical training in the field of emergency medical care. His parents, however, were not happy at how much his martial arts skills had dulled, and made him return to the rank of white belt in both Arts he had done his hole life. His mother went as far as to contact the World Taekwondo Federation and had his belt standing reduced. In the two years out of the army, Roland loved his life. And he almost had his black belts back--then the invasion happened.

Roland's mother and father were killed when the Dojo was caught in the fighting, along with their students that were there training. Roland knows his sister Stephanie, was at work, but has no clue where she is now. He travels through the city trying to find her. He has set up an emergency medical center in the home above his bomb shelter. He is not ashamed to say he took a lot of extra medical supplies from the Ambulance station and moved them to his shelter he is living out of. The shelter was built by the people who owned the home before Roland bought it. It is a replica of the home under ground. Roland had decided to fully stock it with survival gear, food, and keep the water tank full in preparation of a zombie outbreak. Roland lives secure 30 feet below the earth at night, and travels by day to find his last loved one, and help anyone he can.

Other:

He carries a fully-stocked aid bag, and a bit of extra food and water to help those he meets... If they don't try to harm him or others. Roland's dream is to try to start a human settlement to help survive the bugs' assault of their world.
