2005-12-24 [stuffAEAmade]: *eats her pen tool-less version of Photoshop* T.T Nice tut, BTW, I hadn't thought of using burn for shadows. :D
2005-12-24 [the Indigo]: Really...? oO what did you use?
2005-12-24 [stuffAEAmade]: I have Photoshop Elements. I generally ink my lines by hand before coloring. Shadows for me are a darker shade of the skin tone with a purple tint.
2005-12-24 [the Indigo]: Hm, I've done it that way, too. I found just burning it was easier for me >> I inked my lines before, too. But I'm just lazy now :P Plus I like how I don't have to clean everything up before I start photoshopping it without the lineart >>
2005-12-24 [stuffAEAmade]: I've got my scanner set so all I have to do for clean-up is put the drawing through a contrast enhancement and floodfill a few areas white. Goes really fast for me since I can hold my stylus in my left hand and my mouse in my right. :D
2005-12-24 [the Indigo]: Stylus?
2005-12-24 [stuffAEAmade]: Tablet pen. ;P
2005-12-24 [the Indigo]: Ah! I want a tablet sooo bad ._.
2005-12-24 [stuffAEAmade]: The small ones aren't too expensive. I don't know exactly how much mine cost because I got it for my birthday, but it couldn't have been more than $200. It's only a 4x6.
2005-12-24 [nokaredes]: $200 is a lot of money @_@
2005-12-25 [nokaredes]: I don't know anyone who I could ask for a $200 gift. *shifty eyes*
2005-12-25 [stuffAEAmade]: You can always save up for one, then. I'd have to work about 35 hours to make that much money. U.U
2005-12-25 [the Indigo]: Hmm...I think that if I were to ask for that it would be my only Christmas present...I babysit, though. I worked an entire summer and didn't even make $200 >> Ah, well...such is the life...
