Appearance:
See picture above. She stands at about 5'8" (relatively tall for a woman), with long, slender arms and strong legs. She's thin and lithe, but strong. Her eyes are a sharp mint green, and her hair is straight, long enough to grace her hips. Her skin is a warm tan from growing up outside. She weighs no more than 130 lbs. She is often seen wearing her leather arm cover on her left arm, and the half-glove on her right hand that she wears for archery. Loves knee-high, flat-heeled boots--usually brown--over tightly-fitting jeans and a snug, scoop-neck top.

Personality:
Short-tempered by nature, Ryse tries to avoid most people. She tends to snap and be very sarcastic, especially to people she doesn't know right away. Has a particular distaste for women who lose their virginity at too young an age. Loves children, especially young babies.

Distinguishing marks or traits:
A crescent-shaped burn on her right forearm as a result of a car crash when she was a child. She has incredibly sharp eyesight and can see things at distances that are almost unheard of in humans nowadays. She has impeccable aim.

History:
Ryse was raised in the mountains with her father all of her life. They were huge fans of hunting, hiking, and fishing. Her mother died when she was very young, and as a result, she doesn't really remember her. She is an only child, because her father had loved her mother so much that he never saw fit to date or remarry. She was very happy to live alone, secluded in the cabin with only her father and a hound dog named Harper, only traveling into the city for groceries or new clothes about once a month. After learning what the people in the city were like, she made the decision to avoid them as much as possible. She was home-schooled by her father, where he taught her things like basic fighting techniques, and she became very talented at firing a bow.

When she turned eighteen, she learned her father was ill with lung cancer. He is now too sick to work his logging job, and in order to keep paying for their family cabin, Ryse has had no choice but to leave him and Harper behind and move to the city to get a job. She currently works at an activities center teaching archery, weapon safety, and women's combat.

Other:
Feels a very deep connection to animals, even if she has to hunt them for food. She loves to draw, sing, and be outdoors.
