Please note that a) serinians don't tend to have magic (the one pictured is actually a mage-created construct) and b) the girl pictured is Sentli. It's the slightly thinner, much paler subspecies of the race compared to Seedara's Sendiran. There's more about the race division on the serinian page.

Appearance: Seedara is 5'4", thinner and lankier than a human. He's pretty solidly muscled from running up and down the masts and rigging all day, every day, but that muscle lines his bones quite smoothly, making him look much weaker--almost sickly--than he really is. His facial markings are an orangeish tan color that matches his auburn-red hair perfectly. His very feline eyes (small cat, not big cat) are brown/red/orange...ish. He of course boasts fangs and short, sturdy claws. He wears loose, flamboyant clothes that are usually a bit worn out, and possesses a love of color unusual for his people, usually leaning to reds, oranges, and golds, with the occasional black thrown in. His trademark features are his long serinian ears, each as long as his face, that lead him to be called--fondly, mockingly, or indifferently--"Ears" more often than "Seedara."

Skills: Seedara, as per his race, is an extremely good climber and agile jumper, capable of covering large distances. He's hard to replace in matters of making any work with the rigging goes exponentially faster. He's a fast runner--useful after filching this and that in a marketplace. His fighting style involves a lot of jumping, staying out of reach, and hit-and-run, extremely speed-based.

Personality: Seedara loves jumping, climbing, and running, especially jumping, so he tends to have fun working with the rigging and sails. He is, however, all said, quite lazy when it comes to anything that may be labeled "work." Although he doesn't (usually) fall asleep in his favorite duty position, lookout and crow's nest lounger, he does like it so well primarily because he gets to hang out most of the day. The sun does get hot, but he's a virtual expert in alleviating that most days. He's friendly and outgoing...actually, insanely hyperactive...and can be quite puckish. He loves to bait people, and taking him too seriously inevitably leads to a migraine.

History: Seedara was born with the majority of his people in the jungles of the eastern continent, but was kidnapped as a young boy along with a number of other serinians for use as a slaves, since the race's agility makes them useful on a ships. Seedara ended up on a small ship of a royal fleet. As luck would have it, his owner and the ship's captain was a good-hearted man and took a liking to him. When Seedara was 16, after 12 years of bondage, the captain good-naturedly gave him his freedom and a few gold to start him on his way.
However, Seedara was never really educated in frugality, and had certainly never had the chance to practice it since he'd never had money of his own before. He quickly squandered what he had and, hungry and desperate, turned to pick-pocketing. Through that, though, he continued to long for the ocean he'd grown up on, and the fun of jumping from mast to mast, from this bit of rigging to the next, and tricking the crew for the thousandth time into thinking that he was falling. Since he was now quite sure that he had no real dislike of thievery, he hitched a ride to a known pirate's port and waited for his chance to sign onto one of the ships. He had little trouble, again mostly due to his race, and was soon a proud member of the crew of the Opaline, which he has no intention of leaving any time soon.

Other: Although it's typically considered underhanded and juvenille for a serinian to attack with claws and fangs, Seedara won't hesitate.
