Poem Category: Sad
Poem's Title: Long Gone, part 1
Poem:
So many days I watched you change; living your life in better ways
Learning what it meant to be; living life truthfully

Holding you in my arms; hugging you under the stars
Breathing in your scent so dear; never think of my deepest

So many days I watched you change; living your life in better ways
Learning what it meant to be; living life truthfully

Holding you in my arms; hugging you under the stars
Breathing in your scent so dear; never think of my deepest fears

Then I lost you that fateful day; you in a painful state
Bullets of a hunters gun; it is he who is shunned

You were in my arms during the last: your silver-gray head in my lap
All I could do was cry out my heart; as your soul left your body apart

Now you are long gone; living in your new dawn
Know that you are in my heart; and I know you will never be far.

Poem's Title: Abyss
Poem:

Down around the rippling pool
A small boy tripped, the little fool.
Once the body rose above
The water, those around it shoved
Hard into their neighbor's sides
To see displayed that which death hides.
Horror struck, they looked below;
The pool had hooked them, down they go.
The watery depth would be their doom;
They boy, he stood to seal their tomb.
Those with loved ones lost them now
Knowing not the cost, or how
Such a little child could take
Their lives, he smiled into the lake.
I have heard he drowned that day,
But those who found him later say,
“Crawling out upon the shore,
His soul was gone, and seen no more.”

Poem's Title: A League of My Own
Poem:

I guess if I could stone a stone,
I'd stone, well, Rushmore.
And I guess if I could comb a beach,
I guess I'd comb one out of reach,
Cause I guess that's just what I'd do.
If I could be swinging on a star,
I'd look to one that's much to far for me.
For me?
Nah. Too far for you.

Poem Category: Dark
Poem's Title: Dreams Vol.5
Poem:

He stood alone cold as marble, the dark statue of ancient Rome, Looking up at the black ceiling. Happy? Sad? They must be tears of pain, I move forward to touch him, but closer I realize he has no home, Reaching for my jacket I cannot find it, my hands have vanished, who's to blame, There is no light I shiver again under his silver glow and I feel others reading his dead old tome, Sad but proud and tears come to me, tears to tame, I wish to stand but I cant find my legs, its too dark and I find myself alone.

Poem's Title: Broken, Barren Ground
Poem:

Starry night awake me,
From the glitter of my youth.
Broken, barren ground, renew my mind.
Rain, rain, rain, pouring from my ceiling.
Broken, barren ground, renew my mind.
Air so sweet and cold, bite my brow.
Bring what makes me yearn,
Fuel what makes me burn.
Broken, barren ground, renew my mind.
Run, run, run, away to starry freedom.
Broken, barren ground, renew my mind.
World of wonder, frighteing, lightening.
Spinning, turning, ever-whirling.
Never-ending journey,
Treasure never found.
Alas, just broken, barren ground.
