this is a story of her Black Jewels Trilogy world, set after the shadow queen and the trilogy itself. While the major battle has been fought, there is always other small problems, small battles to be taken care of. This is one of them, and it offers a small glimpse into a world where people are the vessels of power, where magic can be a outlet for rage and pain, or hope and love. Very good, though you really need to read the first book trilogy ,starting Daughter of the blood before you even think about starting this.
