D'mitri walked off the elevator and took a look around. It always amazed him when he thought about how many people they could fit into the ship. He decided that he may need some help eventually, so he contacted Sojana. "Sojana, I may need your assistance in apprehending a male Vidian in the ships living quarters. So cut your meet-and-greet short."

It took Sojana a little bit of time to traverse half the ship's expanse to make it to the living quarters. She was slowly sniffing her way down the hall towards the Chief, he'd mentioned that there was male Vidian around here somewhere and it would not suit her to be ambushed by one of her own kind. Even though males where decidedly larger than the females they weren't generally as skilled as hunters. The protrusions on the back of her head where slightly raised, heightening her sense of smell. She caught sight of the Chief and quickly slipped her way towards him. "What's the situation sir? Want me to rouse the boys?"

"I admire your enthusiasm, but apprehending someone for small crimes and questioning hardly seems like a good reason to assemble your squad." D'mitri said as he continued to walk. "The main reason I called you here is that you would understand him better then i can even with my telepathy. I need you to help me hunt down this address and bring the Vidian in for questioning and then for any crimes he has committed."

"What makes you think he'll listen to me?" Sojana asked the Chief as she checked the address. Vidian social structure was a bit behind the humans, males where often promoted over females, who made up the bulk of the species infantry forces. "Wait a second... He came threw here." She leaned down, extended her neck a few inches and sniffed the floor. "This way." They took a turn down the corridor where the numbers on the rooms closely resembled those on the address. "So what did he do, if I'm permitted to ask?"

"Not that he'll listen to you." D'mitri said, "But most species are more comfortable in tense situatuions if one of their own is there. That and you have access to powerful senses and can smell exactly where he is, and track him down if he somehow manages to give us the slip. As for his crimes, he is wanted for suspision of recieving and selling stolen goods. Any other crimes will be discovered upon apprehension."

"He may not be very cooperative even with in my presence but we're here." Sojana stopped outside of a door and sniffed again "He's been burning Chakan oil, be careful not to inhale too much." Sojana closed her nostrils, insuring that the slits would filter out the drugs effects.

"Thats always a good sign." D'mitri said. Intoxicated people always made easy captures.
He didnt really know how he wanted to do this, whether bursting down the door would be better or getting him to open his own door.

Sojana knocked calmly on the door, it wasn't the smartest idea to burst in on a vidian male, not when they could break a human's spine with just one strike. "Maid service." She said sweetly, pressing her head to the door she could hear footsteps and rummaging, as if he might be hiding something before he answered the door. "He's on his way." She told the Chief and took a step back as she heard him come near the door.

D'mitri moved to the sid so the Vidian would have to open the door almost all the way to see who was there. The second they made eye contact the Vidian froze. The look on his face showed obvious signs of strain, as if he wanted to flee but lacked the capacity. "Maid service...here to clean up the filth." He gestured to Sojana to follow him as he lifted his hand, making the Vidian lift into the air and float backwards into the house. The leftover smoke split infront of him, keeping him from inhaling it.

A series of Vidia's more colorful expletives exited the male's mouth as he was levitated into his own dwelling.

"English please." Sojana told the male as she entered behind D'mitri "You have the vocal capability, don't pretend that you do not." She cast her eyes around the room and they fell upon a bag of Crundar Currency laying open on the table behind him "You're informants where right." She told the Chief as she picked up the bag "He's been busy."

"Wages." The male snarled "Earned for services."

"What kind of services?" Sojana asked as she guessed the bags contents at about 4,000 currency credits.

"The kind I would render to you for free." The male told her, his tongue visibly traveling the edges of his mouth.

Sojana snorted "Your not Vidian enough to handle me."

"Sounds like a confession to prostitution to me." D'mitri said. "That goes well with the possession of a narcotic substance, use of a narcotic substance, receiving and selling stolen goods, and who knows how many other criminal charges we can put you in for."

"I'd like to see you prove it." The male replied "Search my dwelling, you will find nothing illegal."

Sojana began making a lap around the small room, looking and sensing for anything that might strike her radar. No doubt the Chief would take him into custody and have his room tossed but she wanted to catch him in something now. Her eyes fell on a shelf stacked hap haphazardly with a pile of misshapen clothes and noticed something odd for a Male Vidian to have. "Are you sure?" She said picking up the item. It was a small brass looking pedestal with a cylindrical vessel at the top. "Not many males have the use for Vidian Laying Vessels... I bet we'll find an embryonic traveling container won't we? Forgive me if I'm wrong Chief but I think that's a class four felony right? Vidian embryos should be consumed by the producing female, to re institute vital nutrients into the system, not sold as a black market delecasy."

"Why yes that is." D'mitri said. "You also must not realize that I can search your mind and I can arrest you for any crime I discover no matter how old they are or how well you hide them."

"Shouldn't you need a warrant for that or something?" the male snarled, he distinctly did not like being held up like this, unable to attack or defend himself.

"If i required a warrant for everything I did I wouldn't get anything done." D'mitri said. "If you hadn't opened the door we would have most likely had to get one, but the second you turned the doorknob you were fair game. Also I am a telepath so I have special rules allotted to me that allow me more freedom. Anything I glean from your mind is automatically considered a formal confession on your part. Lovely isn't it?"

"If I may make a suggestion?" Sojana told the male "The more you give up on your mates the less time you'll spend in the brig. Trust me, the Chief likes cooperation."

"I'll converse with my council first." The male grunted "Am I still awarded that curtsy?"

"If you think that is wise." D'mitri said with a shrug, "You did sell the embryos of your own species on the black market."

The male didn't say anything else for fear that it may incriminate him. He hoped that there was some sort of telepathic loophole in the judicial system and he'd get away with a misdemeanor or something.

"Well he's clammed up." Sojana said rummaging threw a few more things just for the hell of it. "You need help taking him to the brig?"

"Unless he suddenly quadruples his mental strength and breaks free of my hold."D'mitri sai as he turned and started walking out the door. "You are dismissed for the time being. Good work." And with that he left and took the Vidian to the facility quarters.

"So long as he's not in heat he shouldn't." Sojana told him. Left in the males quarters she decided to leave for the armory.

The head biochemist, Taylor stepped out of the elevator. She had taken off her labcoat and only wore a pair of pants and a black shirt, tight to her skin. She yawned and headed down the hall towards her room.

Almost silently wondering out her room with her compainon, Archabold the third. Rosie headed to the lift to check out the rest of the ship. Drinking a cup of synthetic coffee on the way.. they never could get the taist right.

Next Day

Making her way towords the lift to the controll deck Rosie had Archy clinging to her hair, today she had gone for platted pigtails for afficiancy to keep her hair out her eyes, pushing her glasses further up her nose she observed that practicaly no one was around other than some minor officers. Humming along to an old but timeless tune "Why'd you come in here looking like that" while double checking a progress report she had earlier that morning off of an F2.
