Beneath pale moonlight.

A dancer with Fortune,
Harbinger of luck,
A fancier of finery,
That runs amuck.

A spoilt enigma,
A golden eyed fiend,
A purring protector,
That's perfectly preened.

Nocturnally naughty,
A shadowy wraith,
He'll claw out your eyes,
If you break his good faith.

He's majestic and graceful,
So brazenly bold,
The keeper of secrets,
A thousand years old.

So fluently feline,
Of the Night begat,
The heart of darkness,
In the soul of a cat.

Surrounded by huge ancient

Knarled trunks.

The wind dancing through the emerald canopy

High above...

The shrill song of a far off bird

Warning of a predator.

Armed,

Poised,

Waiting for that perfect shot.

Stillness broken by

The whisper of a doe and her fawn

As they enter the clearing...

Lowering their small heads to sip from a pond.

Grinning as you look through the lens,

Take aim...

And shoot...

The quiet winding of the camera's film

The only sound out of place in the forest.

Jesus lit a cigarette and said,
"And this means my power,
My God given right
To pollute the temple of my body
And to forsake the teachings of my father.
This means my choice to be the instrument of my own will,
And to be my own light in the darkness."
He did not pass the cigarette around,
Nor did he urge them to keep this ritual
In remembrance of his passing
But stubbed it out and said,
"And by this you will know that I am Jesus f***ing Christ."
