Some Facts of Autumn/Fall

1. The more of a hurry you are in, the more school buses you get stuck behind.

2. The people sitting around you at the football game are always better prepared to deal with hunger, thirst, and the weather.

3. Your neighbours' leaves always end up in your yard. Your leaves go straight down.

4. Indian corn (the kind that people nail to their front doors) is poisonous.

5. Children should not sniff the mimeograph ink on their test papers. Doing so will lead to a steady deterioration of the brain.

6. The strength of a hurricane is inversely proportional to its advance billing.

7. Many hunters have no idea what they are doing.

8. Third-party political candidates who are gawky and loud and have bad teeth complain that they are being ignored by the media.

9. Everyone misses the smell of burning leaves. No one does anything about it.

10. It is not impossible to ruin a turkey.
