King Kong
Adventure, Drama
Peter Jackson teams up again with Weta ltd to remake the 1933 classic remember that team from Lord of the Rings, yup it’s them again and what a show they put on this time.
A producer bamboozles his crew to embark on a voyage that brings them to Skull Island, where a Giant Gorilla is smitten by the lead in the movie that is being shot on location, Ann Darrow.
There is the ambitious producer who will stop at nothing to Skull Island guided by a map and tap into its secrets. There is the writer who is falling for the leading lady and the only woman in New York that can out run dinosaurs. You know Peter Jackson really ripped to shreds the stereotyped hapless damsel in distress, this one climbs to the pinnacle of the empire state building even after the ape indicates it’s his fight.
And I almost forgot the Alpha Ape with a delightful sense of humor and a really bad temper, who just wants to watch the sun set. Until he gets captured and brought to New York as the Eighth world wonder. Then he escapes and goes in search of his blonde gurlie. Now who would have thought that there were so many blonde chicks in New York with the same hair-do?

Eight Below
Adventure, Drama
Taking a team out to a desolate mountain range in Antarctica with his snow dogs, Jerry Shepard soon discovers that his worst fears are confirmed, they have to evacuate the entire base because of a fierce snow storm that envelopes the region. The dogs are left behind due to a technicality and Jerry promises to bring them home but fails to make good on his word.
The adventure should have remained about the dogs and their journey home but occasionally it was rudely interrupted by the two legged freaks with deplorable acting skills. On the whole you will still need a box of Kleenex for the more emotional viewer. HINT Great for a date *wink wink*
Director
Frank Marshall
Starring
Paul Walker - Jerry Shepherd
Bruce Greenwood - David McClaren
Moon Bloodgood - Katie
Jason Biggs - Cooper
Gerard Plunkett - Dr. Andy Harrison
Rating 3/5 – the humans did their best to ruin the movie but ultimately failed.
