HELLO! And welcome back to The Town Herald!
Thank you all for returning once again to our lovely lil' corner of ET, and I hope you have a blast with this issue as much as we did... Though, it does seem a bit skimpy this issue, it still a good read, and a ton of fun to work on. This issue was all about SteamPunk - but as we discovered while working these last two months, SteamPunk is not such a widely known topic or subculture. It is considered to be a sister culture to Cyber Punk, but has not earned as much publicity or support as the Cyber Punk community has. "SteamPunk" was only recognised as a culture in it's own right in the very late 80s, mostly early 90s, so it is a relatively young movement. So young, in fact, that we had not as much as we thought to work with. Though it is a movement that is gaining steam (no pun intended ;P) and gaining it fast - still, the majority of people don't realize that it's a movement all on it's own. Most people still confuse it as a part of other cultures, like retro-goth, or Cyber Punk , or even Rockabilly. We've learned a lot this issue about this fun and fascinating theme, and we hope that you can find out a little more about it too through us! So take a look around, read what we've got to say, and maybe be inspired to do some digging of your own, and as always -- ENJOY! :D
This issue We'd also like to introduce you to some new team members - though the majority of them aren't present in this issue, you can look forward on seeing their works in our next issues! Please meet, and welcome our Heralder Apprentices!:
