THE BEGGER ON MAINSTREET IN MY DREAMS

  When ever I sit down to have a quiet time, relax or daydream about life, there is this old beggar who always comes into my dreams. I wonder who he is and why he should come into my dreams. He looks somewhat old, poor and like one who depends on the alms of others to survive. He had only a pair of shorts on him and his body was bare. I don’t know who he is so I call him the beggar on mainstreet
  Everyday I pass through the mainstreet of elftown, this rickety man is always there beckoning on me to spare him at least a dollar in his plate and promising me that I will receive a rewarding blessing in my house in some days time, your name will also be written in the hall of Fame of elftown and you’ll be most honored.
  What really baffled me was that people really gave this man money but yet he was always there to beg and give out blessings. I was surprised about this man that I had to ask some elftowners I met on the way what these fellow does with al this money. I was told that he uses it not for himself but for the upkeep of elftown and for its various necessities. I became more confused, surprised and interested. What kind of a fellow was he that has decided to commit himself to humanitarian services without gain or returns. He is more committed to the needs of elftowners and the upkeep of elftown than his own needs or maybe he does not even have needs.
  Asked if I have ever dropped a coin in his plate, I will never but tell you the truth No! How I wish I could do that, how I wish I could key into the good works of this fellow. I see him everyday in my dreams when ever I pass through the mainstreet and feel very guilty because I know I am supposed to key into this mans success. Maybe that is why he disturbs my dreams everyday.
  Do you know this fellow? I know you might be wondering who this fellow is, go down to the mainstreet of elftown anytime anyday and he will be there beckoning on you reamsto spare him a dollar. Please when you do pass through that golden mainstreet please don’t fail to spare him a dollar or he’ll be in your dreams. DONATE TO ELFTOWN!
