It's been over two hundred years since the human star had been discovered by the Reptilians, subjugaters of the once free races of the galaxy. And three thousand years before that, they started their conquest of space. To them, this is a relatively short history, as their race dates back to before the humans lived, and back to the years before any people, save the Aelfinjers, remember.
For a short history lesson, this is how the Empire progressed. Once apon a time, on the planet of Sladen, orbiting the star Fressa, better known to humans as Rigel, the indigenent species was in trouble. Overpopulation had led to a massive problem, starvation and mass chaos. The lone leader, an Emperor of strength and compassion, decided to move some of his people from the planet and to some empty planets. The problem didn't start until his son took the throne. This son, a born warrior, refused to allow the fact that others inhabited the planets to stop him from taking them.
This was how the Reptilian Empire started. Reptilians, creatures with vast knowledge of science and math, evolved themselves, making themselves stronger, faster, better. They overtook many planets, destroyed many races, wiping some out completely. Only nine species of intelligent life remain from their takeover.
Cetharians, or Ceths, are catlike, having feline features and a body covered in fur. They serve Reptilians to an extent. Their home was not taken from them, as they were among the first species found by the Reptilains.
Glates, a people of blue skin, hair, and black eyes, were nearly wiped out by the Reptilian raids. They managed to survive because of their advanced space programs.
The extremely thin Nidreans and their cousins, the fur covered Kindremites, were almost too frail to survive the harshness of the Reptilians. Few were left alive, all slaves of Reptilians.
Talikians found a niche and serve Reptilians until the day they can be freed. Despite the fact that they looked like horror stories from every culture, dark skinned, white hair, red or purple eyes, they were looked at for their mechanical prowess and ability to understand nearly any device.
Fets, a brutal species from a harsh planet, were captured by the Reptilians and quickly turned into guards, warriors, and executioners. The red, horned Fets are much less intelligent than their yellow brethren. The yellow Fet is cold, calculating, and often a heralder of death.
Humans, the last species subjugated, fought the entire way. Many are still being hunted, despite having lost their planet. The Reptilians did not plan for the human spirit and fight to exterminate them.
Aelfinjers, the tall, thin species from Archioan, were never subjugated by the Reptilians. They remain free, mostly because of the inability of the Reptilians to understand the length of the Aelfinjer lifespan. The oldest Aelfinjer can remember when the Reptilians were weak and primitive. Most Aelfinjers can remember when Reptilians started space travel. And they know how to defeat them.
So the rebellion fights. They've destroyed space stations belonging to the Reptilians. Casualties have resulted on both sides. The human space station orbiting Jupiter, the Sirius Space Station belonging to the Reptilians, ships on both sides, destroyed past recongnition. People have died, friends, enemies, allies, and innocents alike. The list of casualties is impossible to write. However, for the leaders of the rebellion, every one of them is close.
When the Jupiter Space Station was destroyed, Skye, a young human woman, Devon, a Reptilian raised by the humans on JSS, Diedre, a human teenager, Harley, Skye's older sister, and Robert, a human male, were the only ones left alive. They traveled, losing Robert at the Ceth home of Valaportia, and leaving Harley somewhere safe with her child, until they made it to Hideout.
Hideout was the home to those trying to escape Reptilian rule. Mostly run by Aelfinjers, its leader, Neo, wasn't one to turn a blind eye to a cause. With the added help of Flisk, a brown Reptilian soldier, Henna, a Talikian mechanic, Jerick and Cassy, green Reptilian royals, Noris, a human male, and Fenze, a Glate pilot, they traveled to Siruis in attempt to learn more of the Reptilian Empire.
Their plans, however, went horrible awry. Henna was captured because of treachery from her own group. Flisk was killed trying to save her. Fenze was caught and enslaved.
Now, in attempts to finish what they started, the group travels to find Henna, one of the few people who knows how to bring down the Empire. New allies have joined the cause, and they still fight to destroy the Empire and free the people of the universe.
