Tad Williams: To Green Angel Tower: Storm review

Tad Williams's final book of the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy has been divided into two parts. The last part, Storm tells us how it all ends.
Simon has decided to follow princess Miriamele on her journey to her father in hopes of finding the sword called Memory. Prince Elias falls deeper into the madness caused by his evil minion Pryrates who wishes to gain more power.
Prince Josua gets ready for the final battle between him and his elder brother.
Finally everything is set to see the destruction of Ineluki, the Storm King.
Or is it?

Even though all the characters slowly gather together in the same setting, the narration still follows several little stories. Once again, Simon is back in the caves under the Hayholt and boy, does that bore one to death? Honestly, once used and not a good idea, do we have to get back there?
I still don't find the main characters that interesting, but slowly we'll get there. As the narration changes between characters you keep on reading to get to the people you want to know more about.

Storm offers a few surprises in the end - the other one was quite unnecessary from my point of view - but it still manages to keep all the strings attached and reveal everything you need to know about reasons behind everyone's actions. Lives are lost like in every book before which is good in a way that Williams isn't scared of killing likable characters if it is needed.
The end is kind of cliché in a typical fantasy genre way. But I think this is quite alright fantasy series which is something you must know in order to call yourself a fantasy freak.
