Magic: illusions
Strengths: illusions, swordplay, lying, consuming any large portion of food,
Weaknesses: language barrier, the cold, dried mango, easily wooed
Appearance/Dis
cription: Taraka appears to most people as a dark tanned skinned woman from the south-east portion of the continent from which the silk trade is so strong. Her hair is black with a matching pair of eyes and is most commonly seen dressed is a vibrant blue-hued sari with matching sandels to those who cannot see beyond her illusion. To those who can, they'll see a second pair of arms and eyes that have lightened to the gold of a cat. In her homeland, she is what many people would call a Daitya, a four-armed creature who, in the more rural times, were believed to have been servants to the gods.
Whether such stories are true or not have never been confirmed, only the fact that Taraka's kin have gone from servants of gods to servants of man. They now compose the majority of her homeland's militia, and Taraka is no exception from the duty. She was sent under order of her king to learn of rival nations and seek to establish relations with those who are willing, and discover the weaknesses of those who'd wish otherwise. Having been warned of the dangers her own appearance might bring on, she clouds herself in the illusion of foreigner, leaving only those with a strong magical sense to see the true her lying beneath. She's a very capable warrior with her blades, to the point where she can wield a blade in all four hands without the risk of injury to herself.
Too bad the same can't always be said for her comrades around her...
Personality: Taraka is a cautious creature by nature due to her own upbringing and self-concious to boot-not everyone in her world was always open to her race-and often hides her true feelings behind a smile. It's a skill that has only proved beneficial to her position as it, in combination with her affinity towards illusions, has left her as a strong negotiator who can talk herself out of almost any situation. At least up until the point of someone complimenting her. Praise is something she isn't used to, and as a result, she is easily wooed by it.
Also has an obsession for dried mango.
