Telesar was, like so many places, part of a much greater system under the old empire. Telesar was a Garrison island, home to naval and marine facilities. A large community of many thousands grew up in support of the station. During the war, a renegade Dragon led a surprise premptive assault on the island, destroying most of what had been built. Today several fortified villages lay scattered around what is now largely a lawless island. The old Navy station is avoided, said to be haunted by terrible things.
