Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed review

Mattresses are such a pain-in-the-butt thing to get right. I’ve slept on countless mattresses, the majority of them being coil-spring, a few of them not, and decided to try one of the new(er) memory-foam mattresses. It always seemed as though the beds that I was sleeping on were either too hard or else too soft, and no bed that I’ve ever slept on has provided me with a comfortable, supported sleep.

After doing my homework and looking into all of the different beds out on the market these days, it seemed to me that the Tempur-Pedic mattresses were the best ones out there. I visited a few different stores in order to try out varying brands, models, etcetera in the hopes of finding the perfect bed for me. Eventually I ended up choosing the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed.

Essentially, the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed is a no-flip as well as a no-rotate mattress. This mattress is made of modified ViscoElastic Memory Foam (which is an incredibly thick memory foam referred to as "Tempur-Material") and it is designed to alleviate pressure points throughout the body through the use of billions of heat sensing memory cells. Dissimilar to Tempur-Pedic's other models; the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed is made with five layers of foam, as well as three layers of multi-density Tempur-Material for relief as well as support. Additionally, there are another two layers of bottom foam that supports the Tempur-Material and permits for improved air flow throughout the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed.

The Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed measures approximately 80 inches long by 60 inches wide, by 11 inches tall. I bought King-sized sheets for my King-sized Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed, and only the largest of the King-sized sheets actually fit the bed properly. I’ve also got a mattress protector on the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed beneath the sheets, as the material that the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed is made of is not easy to spot-clean.

I enjoy sleeping on moderately firm mattresses. I want support, but I also want comfort. Therefore, the  Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed is perfect for me as it initially feels firm, probably because of how dense the material is. However, the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed is also soft enough to allow for comfort. This is done as the cells of the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed adjust to one’s body. One almost sinks into the mattress, though not too far down, nor is it an uncomfortable or unnerving feeling.

For me, one of the best parts about owning the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed is the fact that the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed has the ability to resist the growth of allergens. My allergies get so bad throughout the year, and having a bed that doesn’t really allow allergens to spread or multiply is really great for me! I don’t wake up sore, sneezing and watery-eyed anymore! Also, I get so cold so easily, it’s really a problem for me in the winter and early spring months. I have such a hard time getting to sleep because I’m so cold and the huge pile of blankets on top of me don’t do much to keep me warm. However, the material that the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed is made of keeps me nice and snug!

I’ve had the Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed for about a month now, and I absolutely love it. This is, without a doubt, the BEST mattress that I have ever owned.  I feel so comfortable and warm when I’m on it, and it doesn’t take me near as long to fall asleep as it used to. Additionally, I no longer spend nights tossing and turning to get comfortable. Within a few minutes of lying down on my Tempur-Pedic Euro (Prima) Bed, I’m fast asleep, and when I awake, I feel rejuvenated, and well-rested!

Pros: Incredibly comfortable, great support!
Cons: Expensive…
The Bottom Line: Expensive, but worth the nights of great sleep!

Mattress Size: King
Mattress Firmness: Somewhat firm
Amount Paid (US$): 1,999
